Sergio Acappella's Northern Italian Cuisine is traditional and created to perfection. Acappella has a classic and fun atmosphere. You and your guest can enjoy signature drinks at their popular mahogany wooden bar. The elegant dining room features tablecloth settings, 16 ft. high ceilings, exposed brick wall, tapestry and their famous over sized portrait of the Duke of Urbino. This is a great place for just a night on the town or a business lunch or dinner.
"Always great food and services at Acappella. Dinning room is nice with high ceilings and brick walls adorned with tapestry's Wine list is strong on Italian vintages."

"I live about 1/2 a block from Acappella, and can't believe last night was my first time here. It has an old school upscale Italian dining feel. The service is fantastic, I especially loved the guy who explains the specials. Immediately after taking our drink order, we were served fresh brushchetta, parmesan, fried zucchini, and a cured meat. We ended up ordering mostly specials, starting with a portabella mushroom, app, then had the squid ink pasta, followed by the veal scallopine. After our delicious meal, we were served complimentary grappa, which was a little strong for me but a nice finishing touch. I thought it was very reasonably priced for what we got. The food was all fresh and well prepared. I will be back."

"The staff made my party feel like family from the time we entered the restaurant until we parted. The food was very rich and flavorful. This location is great for both special occasions and business luncheons. The location is very convenient and accessible by all forms oftransit."

"this restaurant is a tourist trap! Food is overpriced, pasta is drowned in sauce and lights are turned down so low you can barely see your food. I returned my pasta as it was drowned in cream only to get another pasta drowned in sauce. I have had better food in my local pizzeria. If you order a "special" ask the price- a very small sushi tuna/avocado "tower" was $29."

"We try to dine at Acappella whenever we are in NYC. It's out favorite place for celebratory occasions! We always receive a warm welcome, and feel as if we're at "home" amongst friends! From the warm service, to the fabulous food to the house-made grappa and flaming desserts it's sure to be a diner's delight!
We have, and continue to have a very special place in our heart for the staff at Acappella!
Bon Appetito'"

"Went here on last minute choice and was not dissapointed. While the prices were higher than I like the service more than made up for this. Waiters are constantly bringing you little tidbits of food and the overall experience was great."

"The food was good, the waiters were very attentive, but not very informative. We thought we were ordering individual orders of a few appetizers, but we were each served a plate with a bit of everything on it and charged accordingly. I felt ripped off. In addition, the "energetic" ambiance was really too dark and too loud."

"I've eaten in many of the best restaurants in the country and I've never had better service, warm, vibrant, quick to anticiipate needs. There were 3 in our party. The appetizers and the entrees were excellent with one exception, my entree, which was a lobster ravioli with a too heavy cream sauce. I had them take it away and bring me something else, which they did promptly and the substitute a pasta with sea food dish in a light wine sauce was excellent. All in our party agreed, a wonderful find. Only one caveat: the acoustics in the place aren't great, not terrible, but I prefer a little more quiet."

"The restaurant was well worth the ride from our hotel on Central Park South. As soon as we were seated we were provided with a tasty array of complimentary munchies. We had decided to share a number of appetizers and they were automaically plated for each person...a very nice touch. Entrees among our group included meat, fish and pasta. All dishes were delicious and more than ample. Only a couple of us had room left for desser, but those that did, were not disappointed. The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. They made you feel like you were dining with old friends. Our only regret was that we live too far to dine here more frequently!"

"I can't say enough good things about Acappella. If you want pampering without pretencious, white table cloths without stuffy and great great Northern Italian food then take the time to dine here."

"Great food and incredible service. I was here on a Monday night taking a group of my employees out for a thank you dinner and the food and service were incredible. Why deal with the vastly overcrowded Il Giglio with their tiny tables and noisy restaurant when you can have the same great food and better service here."

"Took my girlfriend here once back in October. Great food and so romantic we came here for Valentine's Day. The sauces for their pasta are incredible. I got veal each time (shank and scallopine) and she got the three pasta dish. Sauces were incredible for the pasta and the veal was cooked perfectly. Even the parmesan cheese and fried zucchini they bring out for starters is out of this world. Great special occasion restaurant."

"We had a wonderful meal and drinks. Celebrated wife’s birthday and five Waite staff Baritones from Brooklyn sang to her, it was great...Classic Northern Italian cuisine four course meal."

"Food consistently first-rate, with custom-made dishes never a problem. Service attentive (almost to a fault). Every member of the wait staff knows what's freshest and best and will tell you if asked; don't be shy about doing so. Go more than once and they will remember you. Only (minor) complaint: food, and especially wine, prices are high. Not at all difficult to spend $250-$300 for dinner for 2."

"I was amazed how attentive the service was. from the moment we walked in we were greeted at the door by the metre'd Tomassino. as soon as we were seated the waiter came over and ask for our drink order, and brought over some condements ,which were a excelent start. He gave us Parmagan cheese, supersad, and pan fried zuchini. Our Captain ( which you do not find in other high end restaurants any more what a shame )came over and verbaly told of the evenings signature dishes which included Veal Chops, Lamb, Fish and 3 1/2 pound lobster. we started with the shrimp and crabmeat apps, then had pasta and went on to have the Veal chop and the Lobster all were very tasty. I and my wife had a great time. We will go back, with our friends."

"Ambiance was very pleasant. Service was good. But the food was very disappointing. I had the worst salmon I have ever had. Over cooked and smothered in cream sauce."
