Kitchenette is a family run bistro, which uniquely combines slick and modern with classic and comfortable. From our food to the setting to the music we play; we are committed to having fun. We offer upscale and updated traditional dishes. Every ingredient is fresh from the market and treated with respect and care. Every presentation is clean and relevant. Our decor denotes our cuisine with contemporary furnishings resting in antiquity; century-old wooden floors, leather banquette, Italian bent-wood chairs, crispy white napkins on solid maple tables, unique artisanal lighting and antique barstools all surrounded a shiny new open kitchen. "Was there on a Wednesday - only 2 other tables. Not having bubbles and wanting something round, the waiter opened a Sancerre which is not served by the glass - Excellent. The food was amazing, the combinations very creative and worked in every instance. Highly recommend the smoked mackeral. We wanted 2 desserts and the waiter advised 1 would suffice. We went with the sticky toffee - WOW! We very much appreciated the waiter having us discover a new sweet wine from Oka - delicious. We will be back. Thank you for a successful birthday dinner."

"I have been there 3 times, twice for business and once with my wife. Great food and not your usual menu - very creative but delicious choices. Very highly recommend it!"

"I had dinner with friends on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was a little on the quiet side, I assumed it was because it was in the middle of the week. I sampled very good interesting and tastefull oyesters and the short ribs dish was great. Wine list is interesting and both the Riesling and red wine were great. The decor is very nice with the tan leather seats and the old wood floor. I Will go back!"

"My friends and I went to Kitchenette on a recent rainy night. There were some patrons, but the restaurant was relatively quiet (perfect for us).
The waitress was friendly and personable, and the service was perfect!
The food was interesting and very tasty. Having lived in the US and Texas for too many years, I do appreciate the spicing. The dishes were reminiscent of that part of the world, yet highly original with very fresh, high quality, ingredients.
By the meal's end, we all agreed to return as soon as possible!"

"We had been to this restaurant several times before and always enjoyed it. We were looking forward to a nice evening. We ordered appetizers and mains. The food was served very quickly. We were in and out in 1 hour, maybe less. Although the food was quite tasty with a nice presentation, we were not given any time to actually savour it. It was very disappointing. Main courses were a bit small too . Overall, we were very disappointed."

"This restaurant got a lot of good reviews from a few French tv shows such as Anne-Marie Wittenshaw' 'guide resto voir' and Christian Begin's 'curieux begin' and I must say that it drove me to go there. The food was great, inventive in both combination and presentation but I was a bit disappointed with the welcoming and the overall service; the staff was more interacting between themselves than caring for us, the owner-cook looked like bored to say the least...but still the food is great and the overall value for what you have in the plate was excellent. The wine list though is overpriced, it tis kind of impossible to get a good bottle under 60$"
