"Our evening was a team celebration for a successful project. The restaurant was not excecptionally busy so the noise was only moderate. Our waiter was very attentive and informative. We challenged him with some questions about the origins of the seafood and he was free to say, I do not know but will ask the chef. He did his best to accomodate special requests. The food was terrific, we had a range of different seafood dishes and appetisers and everything was prepared and presented very well. It was a perfect ending to our project."

"Went for a seafood option with the In-Laws ahead of Mother's Day + a birthday and we were not disappointed.
Had a spacious round table for 6 and glad that we chose the Shrimp Bites appetizer. This was a real winner not only with the four adults, but the two kids asked for more!
We made a mental note to come back at some point (after next shopping outing at Southpark) just for the apps and drinks outside at another time during the summer."

"It was Mother's day in the early afternoon between rushes. Rusty, our waiter, was very attentive to us throughout the meal. He made it a very special occasion his kindness. We ordered from the menu as the buffet had ended by 2:00, The quality of the fish was excellent.

"We booked an 11:00 reservation on Mother's Day, but the door was locked when we arrived at 10:45. About 20 people were left waiting outside until the doors were opened around 11:00. Not a good start! The food was very average although the prices at $25 -$30 per entree were not. The stuffed shrimp was not good at all. There were only 5 shrimp stuffed with a very runny, fishy tasting crab mixture. The calamari appetizer had very little calamari, but instead contained mostly fried carrots, artichokes and other veggies. The service was a little slow and the waiter was not very attentive in refilling glasses, etc. Overall, it was a very overpriced and disappointing experience, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day."

"As a Marylander, I know my crab cakes. The waiter insured us they used lump crab meat, no fillers and their crab cakes sometimes fall apart (the way they should be). The reason I picked this restaurant was they advertised their seafood is flown in daily. The crab cakes were HORRIBLE. There was no lump crab meat (do they even know what part of the crab they mean when they say that?), it was pasturized, canned meat that was awful. Crab cakes should use fresh lump crab meat, should be in the shape of a baseball, not the shape of a can of tuna, and be broiled not seared."

"This restaurant is on a steady decline. Service and overall food quality was not great. This used to be a "fine dining" experience and McCormick & Schmick's had been a Tier One Quality Restaurant, not sure what has happened here if it is just this location or Corporate Headquarters downgrading its food quality and service quality to save money. I can tell you one thing the food and service have gone from 4-5 Star to 1 Star at best. By the way, I dine out all the time, and mostly at high quality restaurants, price is not my main consideration, food service and quality are though."

"We are return-visitors to McCormick & Schmick's South Park. Always have an excellent time, well-attended to by wait-staff (Amanda) & great food! My favorite is the Lobster Bisque Soup.... everyone loved the Shrimp Kiss appetizers...thanks for making it such a memorable event!"

"I took my friend here for his birthday. He really loved it. He is picky so I was kind of skeptical about taking him here. He really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. He even bragged about the service. Of course I enjoyed it just as much as he did when he smiled all throughout the night. I would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"My friend and I always visit this location when we have lunch every 3 months or so. We have been getting together at M&S for about 7 yrs now. This visit was difficult due to a table of about 10 people that were extremely loud! I think a gentleman by the name of Phil brings in this group periodically. When I dine there again, I will call to make sure he and his insanely obnoxious loud (drinking) crew won't be there. With that said...I love the quietness of your restaurant. This is only the restaurant we visit because all the others are so loud we can't have a conversation. We especially love the 'snug' booth. Thank you.

"When we arrived they sat us right away. The server was very nice and got us our drinks. She was managing a few tables so she seemed a bit distracted. well, she came back right away and took or orders. She also brought us some bread. it was cold bread. not what you expect from an expensive restaurant. I have been to M&S before, but noticed the prices have dramatically gone up. Tilapia for $20!? A salad for $8?! Crazy. Well, the food came out and we thought it was good but not exceptional. My potatoes were cold. Stuffed shrimp was ok. There were 5 small pieces of zucchini on the plate. All in, it was $100 for 2 people. I did have a glass of wine and a dessert. We were celebrating my birthday. Overall, we probably won't go back"

"My husband and I visited for our Anniversary and we had a wonderful experience! First of all we were seated in their private curtain booth section, which is VERY romantic! The server we had (Quay)was very helpful in assisting with ordering our food. Her reviews of what we wanted was spot on and didn't dissappoint. Thier cocktails were awesome as well. I orderded a Strawberry Basil Mojito and that was the best cocktail I've ever had! I could go on and on about our dining wonderful experience but I would be typing all day. Great restaurant and staff!"

"The wait staff was very friendly and accomodating. We were seated immediately upon arrival, avoiding any wait time. The food was good--I think we all enjoyed our meals. We ordered apple pie, cheesecake, and the red velvet for dessert. Everyone seemed to enjoy the apple pie and cheesecake but we were not a fan of the red velvet that night. "Our evening started fine. A nice table as requested. An excellent waiter and prompt service. We were not in a hurry and advised our waiter of that. Our cocktails were promptly delivered and starters delivered at the appropriate time. The problem was our entrees were delivered and quickly dropped on our table by a runner shortly thereafter while we were only partially finished with the starter. No apology or comments were made until the waiter apologized when presenting us with our check.
Our food was very good, properly prepared and maybe a bit expensive. Needless to say this was not a great experience for what was planned to be a relaxing evening."

"We visited McCormick & Schmick's (Southpark) tor Easter and I must say that it was an excellent choice. Luckily, it wasn't too crowded as I assume most people enjoyed their Easter dinner at home. The food was really good, but I was more impressed by the service. I'm a sucker for good service and the lady who served us went above and beyond to make sure that we didn't need or want anything. She kept our glasses full, and even when we ordered desserts, she had them separated into individual bowls so that all seven of us could enjoy it. I would definitely recommend!"

"I did not have a good experience at all , from the time we walked into the restaurant and was ingnored by the blonde at the front desk who remianed on the phone rather than welcoming us to their restaurant. Next, the ledge on the booth we were sat had an inch of visible dust on it. It went down hill from there and we will never return nor recommend it to anyone. It was a bad experience."

"We first ate here a few years ago and I had the scallops(love scallops) and they were the best I had ever eaten so we would make it a habit of coming as often as possible. Recently found out that the chef that had been here was no longer employed and realized right away why the scallops were nowhere near as good as before. Spoke with the manager about this, who I immediately noticed that he had fielded this question before, and he said that the way scallops were prepared before was no longer the case and my feelings were that he could have really cared less. OK, then my wife and I could care less if we come back to eat here. If people in charge wold listen more to who ultimately pays them, the bottom end numbers would reflect it. Too bad."

"A last minute choice. We've always enjoyed M & S so consider it a good "go to" spot when in the area. This time we were a bit disappointed. True, it was Saturday night but it truly was not that busy. We just wanted a drink and a quick bite. It was after happy hour so there were not many reasonable choices. Two drinks each and an app each came to $100! That is a little steep."

"we both had the stuffed salmon. i also had the lettuce wedge. the wedge was crisp and the dressing was tasty. the stuffed salmon was delicious. The stuffing did not overwhelm the taste of the salmon. the mashed potatoes were creamy without being lumpy. the mixed vegetables were delicioous also. the only complaints would be with the bread and portion sizes. The bread had a tough crust. I personally would have like a larger portion size."

"We were celebrating an important birthday. Service was very attentive, although at times a bit harried. Starters were ok, but nothing special. Entrees seemed to be much better. Items that were fried seemed to be too heavily breaded and over-cooked. Desserts were extraordinary. The wine list was boring and rather mediocre.....not much more than what I'd expect at a much more run of the mill chain."

"This was both my boyfriend's and my first time. The food was great, service was great, we went on my boyfriend's birthday as a surprise and they typed a special Happy Birthday message on the menu and we got to take it home with us. Little expensive but I'd say it's worth it!"

"This was our first time there since CT (where we're originally from) doesn't have that restaurant there. My husband and I went there on Saturday 2/16 to celebrate Valentine's Day. We absolutely loved it. The ambiance was so relaxing, romantic and cozy. The service was so professional and efficient. The food was fantastic. We will definitely return."
