"Great eating again at Drew's. This time my wife and I both opted for the seafood special, which was perfectly cooked Halibut complemented with red-onions, tomatoes and peppers, as well as fingerling potatoes, which to my surprise all worked very well together. We split a salad and opted for a bottle of Pouilly-Fuissé. Our capable waiter was Jeff."

"We selected Drews because of the many positive reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor and because of their willingness to accept an OpenTable reservation. We were visiting San Antonio for the weekend and staying in the Stone Oak area. We were looking for a good restaurant that offered a variety of food where we could entertain a local relative. Past experience with other San Antonio restaurants on Friday night told us that having a reservation would be important to avoid a lengthy wait in line or at the bar.
Drews worked out perfectly. We were shown to our table right away and greeted by the waiter promptly. Food and service were excellent. We'll be back the next time were in San Antonio."

"Mother's day brunch at Drew's was fabulous. Along with all the usual breakfast items, Eggs Benedict, lox & bagels, pancakes, etc. Drew prepared the most incredible beef with broccoli-rabe I have ever eaten. The beef was fork tender, but with a flavor that was out of this world. A juicy, flavorful roast pork with seasoned mashed potatoes was a close runner up. While my tablemates enjoyed the oysters on the half shell and the boiled shrimp I had to have a second helping of the roast beef, this time without the horseradish sauce. The horseradish sauce was delicious, but the beef was so flavorful you didn't need it.
Desserts were fun cupcakes and marvelous sugar cookies. My cupcake was a fun rip of a PB&J."

"We only had an hour to eat dinner before heading to Live and Let Die at the Laurie but decided to see if we could squeeze in Drew's. Our waiter, Austin, said no problem -- he brought our wine within 5 minutes (at a bargain only 2X markup compared to other restaurants), took our order, and we even had time left over for dessert. For entrées we had salmon and escolar, both cooked and seasoned to perfection, with attractive presentations -- 7 perfectly sized asparagus with the salmon, just the right amount of green beans with the escolar. We split a Caesar salad and I also had anchovies on the side -- no problem."

"We stood there 10" before anyone acknowledged us, the service was terrible and the corned beef was fatty tough end pieces. The one thing my wife enjoyed was the wine, but after one glass they ran out. We brought my Mother in for the piano music, but the music was terrible."

"Food was ok. Service was lacking. Not a good idea to go between shifts (4pm). Server wasn't sure if kitchen was ready with side dishes and bread for dinner. We had to ask for bread. He said "we'll, you're lucky, the bread just came out of the oven". It was stone cold. I was not at all impressed."

"Extensive selection on the menu - from beef to fish as well as burgers and pizza. We settled for the Catch of the Day - was cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Jeff was totally accommodating when we asked to substitute a side. Excellent wine list - we were there on a Friday night and the restaurant was about half full (Fiesta Week in San Antonio). Will definitely make a return trip!"

"i wanted to try the restaurant since it first opened. I went with a work colleague. My steak came out cold. It was tough and the flavor was of A-1 steak sauce. Overall, not impressive for the price. I won't go back."

"While a departure from prior visits, the service was poor. We had to repeatedly ask for water and after waiting for some time, went to a side table for the decanter with our wine and poured our own wine.
Spoke to the manager who said he was surprised because the waiter is "one of their best"."

"From the food to the service, we found Drew's to be a lovely dining experience.
We ate on the outdoor patio which was surprisingly quiet for where it was located. The only negative about eating outside is that smoking is allowed on the patio and unfortunately we were downwind from the cigars.
The foods we enjoyed most were the prime rib special, the rachel with turkey, the reuben and the steak with broccolin. Everyone reported their meal was delicious! Hector, our server was very attentive and helpful in making recommendations. We will definitely return to try more dishes."

"Split an expensive steak-it was enough for two. It also was delicious. Came with a COLD baked potato. Too bad. Good bread. Desserts looked delicious and enough to satisfy two or three diners. Not impressed with the very, very expensive Reuben I had last time. Loved leaving with blue cotton candy. Obvious that the restaurant is trying very hard to please, especially since Drew, the owner, seemed happy to come over and say hello. Will return with friends to try something else."

"My table mates raved about the matzo ball soup. I ordered the pasta primavera. there was no indication on the menu that it was prepared with cream and/or a cheese sauce. I stay away from saturated fat whenever possible, so did not enjoy my meal as I had hoped to.
our waiter appeared to be overloaded...he had trouble with the orders and with the checks. Admittedly we had asked for separate checks which can be difficult for wait staff."

"As usual, Drew's was wonderful tonight. The PreFix dinner offering was new and delightful. The choices were varied to please everyone. My husband, son and I all had the steak which was prepared perfect, delicious mashed potatoes and onion rings on top. I had the salad and my husband and son had the Matzo Ball soup which they said was heaven. For desert we had the sorbet, chocolate mousse and cheesecake. A very delightful evening with delicious food. We can't wait to go back and highly recommend it to everyone!!!!!"

"While the wait staff was exceptional (colleague spilled iced tea, wait staff instantly and inconspicuously handled situation), I was very much disappointed in the food. The artichoke/spinach appetizer was just average, my beet salad was a disappointment -- bitter greens, a few chunks of beet, and nondescript salad dressing-- and the soup of the day (butternut squash) was mediocre and not that flavorful. Those who ordered pizza seemed reasonably pleased, but no one commented upon their food. Since we were entertaining a client and your restaurant had been recommended by our VPs, I expected something special. Despite your excellent service, I won't return, personally or professionally. The food must measure up."

"Valentine's Day was a treat. Drew, the host, was present, cordial and accommodating. Ther server was pleasant, helfpul and timely.
The only drawbck was the gal at the table next to us. Older, attractive gal who overdid the perfume. It was an unpleasant distraction to an otherwise enjoyable meal. Go easy on that stuff! It doesn't do anything to help with your appearance. You look fine otherwise."

"Due to the large Valentine's Day crowd, our server said the kitchen was behind and apologized for our food being late. When our food finally arrived, my wife’s steak and asparagus were both excessively charred. I was going to complain to our server, but my wife asked me not to make a fuss. Instead, she simply requested steak sauce to cover up the burnt taste.
I had the shrimp and scallops dish, and although it was good, I was disappointed that what appeared to be 4 large sea scallops were actually 2 scallops cut in half. For the price Drew’s is charging for the dish, they shouldn't be skimping on the scallops."

"I had found this restaurant online and was planning on taking my wife for Valentine's day. We were coming from southeast Texas and were in town for a convention. I was not happy that the menu we found on the restaurants website, and the reason we were going to this restaurant, was not the menu available to us to choose from.
