"The food and wait staff were great. Hubby said he liked it better than Elizabeth's on 37th because it had a larger menu. We both had the She Crab soup, but I rate the She Crab on Kent Island, MD just a little better. Mom didn't like the smoked bacon on the BLT salad. Mom had fried chicken with apricot sauce, I had the fried lobster tails and hubby had fish. The 'BEST IN THE WORLD" collards were very hot (too spicy). Hubby tried and he said they were too hot, and he eats a lot of hot peppers.
Mom is 88 and I didn't think about the six stairs getting into the house.The staff at the door said I could take her around the block to the elevator, but the walk on cobblestones would have been just as hard."

"While a lot of items look good on paper, the actual item was at best average. Service was friendly and attentive. It seems to cater to large families and tourists. For the price, the food was a bit underwhelming. Although nothing was bad, it was merely adequate. No wow factor on any of the dishes. The one main vegetarian option (ravioli) was underdone on the pasta side and had a bit too much balsamic on the plate so the cream sauce was beaten out by the sweet vinegar. The filet mignon had to be sent back as it came out as medium instead of the ordered rare. Staff was happy to correct the mistake and brought out an average tasting house salad to compensate. Not a place for true foodies."

"We recently visited Savannah for our wedding anniversary and the highlight was our evening at the Old Pink House. We arrived early in order to enjoy a martini in the side bar before dinner. The staff was very engaging and we had a fun time there speaking with the two young men behind the bar. Then we were off to dinner on the second floor. We found that each room of the restaurant has its own matre'd. Our level of service was wonderful as was the food preparation.
We wrapped up the evening downstairs in the tavern with an after dinner drink while listening to live music on the piano and upright bass. It was an anniversary we will long remember."

"Our experience started out nicely, but deteriorated quickly when a woman hawking cds in the dining rooms would randomly belt out tunes at diners' tables. This included four versions of the birthday song before she came to our table to ask us how we were doing. We were surprised that the management of a "fine dining" establishment would allow a vendor use their space in this manner. Our appetizers were good- we had the crab cakes with fried green tomatoes and the fried oysters- but nothing to write home about. The crab cake was bland. The entrees were disappointing- we had the fried pork chop and the crispy flounder both of which were mediocre entrees with outrageous prices. For less kitsch and more taste, spend your money elsewhere."

"My wife and I had our first evening meal during our Savannah 20th Wedding Anniversary Get Away trip at The Ole Pink House on June 10th. What a fantastic way to start off our vacation! We were given the perfect romantic table in the upstairs "office" dining room, overlooking the square. Our server was so lovely and friendly and helpful with the menu. This was a 10 out of 10 evening!!! The meals were wonderful, in the top five of any restaurant ever. Thank you for a great memory!"

"Not only is the 300-year old Olde Pink House historic and fun to explore after dinner, the food is excellent. 5 Stars! Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered the salad they call the "BLT", Fried Green Tomatoes & Sweet Bacon w/Black Pepper Thyme Buttermilk Dressing and their Signature Dish - Crispy Scored Flounder w/Apricot Shallot Sauce, Creamy Grits & Collards and they let me substitute the most wonderful sweet potatoes for the grits. The flounder was so light and flaky, it just melted in your mouth! People were dressed in all type of attire so don't miss the opportunity to dine here if you think you are under-dressed for the occasion. Enjoy!"

"My husband and I were very excited to try this restaurant for a nice evening out in savannah; however we were disappointed by the atmosphere and quality of food for the price. The main reason for giving it three stars is because they squished as many people as possible into the small rooms, making the tables for two feel awkward and intruding on the other larger groups. We were there on a Saturday night when they were hosting a large group within the small room they placed us. My chair backed up directly onto a table of 8 or so children that were loud and could not sit still. The restaurant should have not placed anyone at this table. It definitely made me regret spending the money on this restaurant."

"Restaurant is well located with ample parking nearby in a wonderful converted old house which presents some challenges with seating (expected) and not an issue. Our waiter was professional & very knowledgeable of the menu. Another waiter brought someone else's appetizer to our table before we ordered and w/o even asking or getting that look in our eye that we were ready and waiting for our first course. The wine selection was nice and reasonably priced. The Apricot Flounder that was extremely well prepared, very yummy and well proportioned. Overall I would recommend, but if you are used to and expect NYC style professionalism with the entire staff you may be disappointed."

"We had the Old Pink House recommended to us by a friend, and the reviews were great so we made it a point to make a reservation one evening for some fine dining there. Every staff member went out of their way to make us feel as though we were the most important guests, from the gentleman outside greeting people-he offered to take several pictures of us when he saw me pull out my camera-to the wait staff-to the managers. Our waiter was extremely polite and personable. The food was amazing. We are still thinking about the praline fruit basket (not sure that's the real name). We had a wonderful evening, still thinking about it."

"Our first time in Savannah on our on. We selected the OPH to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary....we were not disappointed. The combination of the location, setting, food and service was perfect for a our celebration. Even our server surprised us with a very nice Happy Anniversary "covered strawberries platter" and special candle...a very nice touch. We will definitely return the next time in Savannah."

"Get your rev. in early...We were 20 minutes late on a 9:45pm dinner. Our first server ditched us. Thank God looked like he was having a bad day, felt bad or perhaps was on Americas Most Wanted list. . Although his other table was in the same room he keep giving us the Stink-eye.....However Gustavo took over and did a tremendous job a perfect gentleman suited to serving others......Libations perfect the Crabcakes delicate, Green tomato Smoked bacon salad with warm ranch dressing very good, Pork tenderloin with raspberry reduction very good, and the beef tenderloin/ veal borderlaise served MR to perfection. The twice baked potato needs some love...more like a duchess potato in a potato wrap."

"We had dined here before and had a great evening with good food. Not any more. We ordered some white wine which was not chilled to the correct temperature. When we asked for an ice bucket the waiter got a bit sniffy and took a while to bring it. The food we ordered was crab cakes,only adequate and chicken pot pie which was truly awful. "We were only in Savannah for one night and the weather was horrible! We made reservations for the Old Pink House and when we walked on we were seated right away. The food was awesome- I had the salmon and it melted in your mouth. The other girls had the soft shell crab and pecan crusted chicken - all was wonderful. This was the only thing in Savannah that went as planned. Hopefully I will return and see everything else we wanted to see. I would highly recommend eating here."

"Delicious meal! We recommend the fried green tomatoes and the duck entree. The restaurant is in an historic house. There are many different rooms in the building. We were upstairs in the former master bedroom which was lovely. Diners are encouraged to walk about and view the different rooms. The maitre 'd stopped by several times to talk to us as well as the other diners."

"My mother and I were traveling through savanna and we were told that this is one of the best places to eat. Well,if that is true the outlook for good food in savanna is very bleak. I don't know if was just our misfortune but,first our waiter must have started that very day. He had no knowledge of the menu ,specials, or any thing else. Then after we made our choices we were very disappointed with the food we received. My CRIPY DUCK was bland , dry, and certainly not CRISPY .The pasta my mom had was all stuck together, dry and undercooked. If the hype for this place as well as the cost of the meal were not so overblown maybe I wouldn't be so critical. I know when I spend good money I expect good food service and ambiance . I would not go back"

"The staff does a great job of greeting you before you even enter the restaurant. The restaurant is so beautiful that my wife wanted to take pictures of all the rooms. The food is excellent, and the service is outstanding. We ordered salads for lunch and liked them so much we returned for dinner the next evening. "We made reservations for 5pm, right when the restaurant opened for dinner. The waiter was awesome and even gave us a tour of the house. He was educated on the history of the house and knew even more about the menu offerings. We had a room to ourselves next to the fireplace for most of our dinner, until others with reservations began to arrive around 6pm. The food was great and so were the drinks. I had the pecan-crusted chicken, which was sweet and savory, the key lime pie was also just perfect. Great place- highly recommend. Definitely make a reservation."

"We chose the Olde Pink House to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We were greeted at the door by a very nice man who was nice enough to take a picture of us in front of the restaurant to commemorate the occasion. Even though we were early, we were seating immediately since the restaurant was not overcrowded. The place was very cozy and the food was excellent! Our waiter John however, was not personable at all and kind of dampened our overall experience."
