His creations range from simple and divine to original and inventive, yet each one is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of tastes. Whether you begin your meal with one of many superb wines from their extensive wine list, end it with their famous homemade sorbet, or dive right in to one of their many mouth-watering appetizers and main courses, Osteria Latini always leaves its patrons with a feeling of jovial satisfaction.
"First time guests. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food was excellent, and the service was excellent. The branzino was moist and flavorable. The fish is brought to the table and shown to the guest before fileted and plated. The steak was served cooked as ordered, medium rare. The linguini was al dente, and the clams tender. When the wait staff learned we were there celebrating a birthday, they brought out a dessert plate for the birthday girl with a taste, a substantial taste, of a wonderful selection of desserts. A very nice surprise, and it delighted the recipient. We will return."

"We returned to Osteria Latini after a long break and were looking forward to a great experience. While the food didn't disappoint, the service was not great. The waiter and the hostess engaged in an ongoing conversation over an iPhone while we waited... The empty plates set on the table, the wine wasn't poured, the desert menus didn't show up for 10 minutes, etc. And they were not that busy. Not sure I will return..."

"Great experience! This great neighborhood restaurant really impressed me. We were seated promptly at our scheduled reservation time. The waiter was calm cool, professional and knowledgeable. As he opened and poured our bottle of wine he informed us of the specials. WE ordered the Chesapeake Clams appetizer which were fresh bountiful and amazing. My date ordered the Branzino(sea bass)pan seared whole then filleted and served with asparagus broccoli and garlic sauteed spinach which was brought to us in the pan to view before being filleted and served, superb! I ordered the pounded veal chop Marsala. Again perfectly prepared and served. Overall a great experience! I Highly recommend Osteria Latina!"

"One of my favorite Italian restaurants in town. They made my birthday dinner very special, even with a custom cake. Love this restaurant. It's my neighborhood go-to for special nights."

"The bone-rib eye (not on the menu) was excellent. The Calamari Fritti was tender and fresh. Items on the menu and service are always consistent and very good."

"The food is excellent and the owner/chef and staff are friendly and professional. You can't ask for a better experience. There were 6 of us and we asked to have everything served family style so we could taste everything. They were very accommodating."

"Food was good - portions are on the smaller size. Nice cannelini bean spread & olive spread, as well, to get you started. Very busy on a Sunday night."

"i have had a better experience there for dinner than lunch. We were the first to arrive for lunch. There was hard rock music playing very loud. When I asked the waiter if he could change the music he said "no, the music changes on its own." Then the next song was like mexican folk music. Then everyone in my party got their food and mine was sitting on the side in the back getting cold. The waiter proceeded to serve another table before he put my food on the plate. I ordered the sole with shellfish. I guess he was not counting on the fact that I knew that was my food back there. I didn't like the service and wont be back for lunch. My experience for dinner in the past was much better."

"Love this place! Have been multiple times. Other great, smaller Italian places in Brentwood, but this is my favorite. Artichoke salad, gnocchi that literally melts in your mouth."

"I lived in Italy for 3 years so I am very picky when it comes to Italian food. This was one of the best places in Los Angeles. I and my part of 4 went on Valentine’s Day. The food, wine, and host was great. What was also nice was the chef came out to greet and make sure that everyone was happy. The parking valet was also efficient and friendly too. Being at this restraint reminded me or Roma!"

"We sast at the table next to the front window that surprisingly was very quiet. The service was excellent as usual. But I had a a veal, proscuitto, mozzarella dish that that looked more like red eggs on toast than the savory, salty, jucicy counterpart at, say, Boulevard in San Francisco. Still, the restaurant is energetic and festive, a place to look forward to nexxt time but with a different entre."

"Osteria Latini is one of the rather good Italian places that I have been to in LA. It is everything you can expect from an Italian place; great food, high noise level (not a bad thing in an Italian place), and a warm atmosphere.. Prices were reasonable considering the food quality and location. Only reason this place did not get five stars is the very cramped lay out. We were there for the Valentine's dinner, so I don't know if it was specific to the night, but there were so many tables squeezed in a very small space.. I know Italian places tend to be cozy and intimate, however, this was a bit too much. It was hard to get up and walk around. You overhear a all the next tables. I will definitely go again."

"We ended up going to Osteria Latini because we went somewhere else previously nearby, used their Valet and he talked up the restaurant so much we had to go!
The food was excellent, the vibe was great, Romantic but not too dark, with a great wine list. My only gripe was that our server wasn't interested in discussing the menu or the wine list with us, telling us what was good, etc. We ended up getting delicious entrees, so it worked out, but I wish the server was a little friendlier!"
