"I booked our reservation for Mother's Day lunch. At least twice before Mother's Day, I let the staff know we needed a highchair. But when we arrived a little before noon (our reservation time) we were told there were no more high chairs available. The Mahi my husband ordered was not served hot enough. I asked for dressing on the side for my chopped salad, and discovered it had already been coated with dressing. Very disappointed."

"Overall this is a good restaurant with good service. However, I should know better not to dine out on Mondays. Understaffed so service was spotty. Could have been much worse if one of the floor managers hadn't helped us out. As a side note, food is always good, but losing value in comparison to it's next door competitor. Young family of 4 (without alcohol) was $100+ before tip.

"My family took me to celbrate Mother's Day and I left feeling very bad that they did. Waited a half hour for drimks only to be finally told that they were out of lemons for the lemonaide. Ordered Ice tea, and there was a lemom in it!!! Asked if the normal Sunday special was still available, he had to check. Came back 20 minutes later with a NO!.Orderd soup and salad. Yup they ran out of the salad and my soup was warm, not hot!!!. That was about another half hour of waiting and then the waiter forgot what my husband orderd so he had to resubmit everyones. All of our main dinners were OK. As far as coffee, I think it was poured and sat waiting to be picked up. It was cold by the time it arrived to the four of us. It was awful!!"

"We have eaten at McCormick & Schmick's in Bridgewater Commons every time we are in the area and have always found the food excellent and the service fairly good. It is an expensive restaurant with some things such as drinks and wine overpriced, but overall it is still OK. The fresh fish is excellent and impossible to find anywhere else in the area (or in most areas for that matter.) As a result we will continue to eat there for either lunch or dinner whenever we are traveling in that area, which is fairly frequently."

"We've been going to McCormick & Schmick's Seafood for years mostly to celebrate special occasions. This time it was a double birthday dinner (for my husband & our friend). The food was very good, but the portions were noticeably smaller and the prices are higher. Our waiter, Mark was wonderful! Attentive and patient with our many questions. The bartender even knew how to make my favorite cocktail - the not so well-known "French 75".
My only real disappointment was that even though I indicated that it was a special occasion, I had to ask several times if they could do anything special (like candles, etc.) On previous special occasions, the menus had our special guest's name on top. It was a nice novelty. That didn't happen this time. :o"

"The Chilean Sea Bass was ok, nothing special. My husband's oysters were delicious, the steak just so-so (though I don't know why he ordered steak when we went out for seafood...)The crab appetizers were excellent, and the service was wonderful. My mother and sister both enjoyed their meals."

"Service was, at best, mediocre. Whether this was the fault of the server or the kitchen, I cannot say definitively. That said, there were some serious issues (e.g., ordered items were not served, I was told by the server that something could not be done that was able to be done when I asked the manager, etc.). Ultimately, the food was very good, and since we've had much better experiences in the past there, I will simply chalk it up to an inexperienced server and/or a bad night in the kitchen."

"I always enjoy going to McCormick & Schmick's. Unfortunately, for me, I cannot afford to go there often. Usually we go for Special Occasions. The food is very good the service is better. However, at our last visit they were out of Dr. Pepper which is my favorite beverage. Steak is good and the seafood is awesome. Overall I would have to say I had a very good time. But, it is a bit pricey."

"They were out of half the items on the menu. Some order didn't come in or something. Now is that something that happens often? No idea. The food I did get was good, and honestly I probably preferred it to what it was substituted for. But restaurants should not run out of half their food items at 7pm at night."

"Character limit prevents an extended description, but succinctly, a most disappointing experience. Solid drinks and a short but uninspiring menu led to 2 hours of disappearing into a black hole. Appetizers (an excellent bisque and nondescript salad) took 30 minutes (the place was barely 40% full on a Sunday night), and entrees simply never arrived. We had to flag down assistance to leave when no food was forthcoming. Desserts to go were comped (nothing special) but with coats on our obviously rushed food was slapped down, a brutalized steak and pasta containing none of the ingredients listed on the menu - and we were charged for both. Unacceptable service, quality and handling, especially at this price point. We won't return."

I was expecting more "white glove" service based on a previous visit to McCormick & Schmick's in Houston Texas, but its understandable based on the location (attached to a local mall)that they would tone it down a bit to attract a variety of diners.

"Generally a very good restaurant, particularly for their seafood dishes. Ahi tuna is really nicely done. Steaks are good but not great considering the price. If you're going for dinner on a Friday or Saturday, it's a good idea to get a reservation or be prepared to wait a while. Also, I'm not a dessert person, but save some room....they're really good."

"The service was VERY slow...We asked for bread, never got it...asked for lemon, never got it...never got the asparagus we ordered...they were out of stuffed shrimp...Matter of fact, the waitress came out and said they were out of shrimp and then gave the individual in my party a totally different menu!!!! Only 3 fish entrees at a seafood restaurant??? Really? Complained to the manager who could care less. The party next to us were complaining as well. With all the money you spend at this restaurant, its just not worth it. I have been to this chain in other cities without any problems."

"Sorry to see such a good chain go bad. Used to be that all the fish was fresh, delivered daily and a large section devoted to wild caught and/or local fish. Now? Nada (save for the flounder which was only available as a prepared/set dish with a cheese breading). Even the bar, which they always prided themselves for with classic, well made cocktails has fallen with shoddy drinks, and when I stopped by for a port after dinner while everyone else was in the washroom, was unattended."

"No confirmation of my on-line reservation. I asked for a booth table to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. We got personalized menus, which was a surprise and great, but had I known I would have given her name, which would have looked SUPER special!!!
Booth tables are much more preferred, but close the blinds to the mall! Inner tables are really sweet too with curtain for a nice touch."

"Girls night out and lots to catch up on. They gave us a great table that allowed for talk and our waiter was there when we wanted something, but left us alone otherwise. No rush to turn the table (although it was early on a weekday evening). We'll do this again here."

"My family was not inpressed with the food for the most part. I ordered the steak and Lobster and although the menu said 4 ounces,that was the smallest four ounces that I ever seen. I've been to to other upscale restuarants and for the same price, left full and satisfied. I was still hungry when I left. I also understand that when you order a combo, the portions are smaller, but this was ridiculus. My wife ordered the Seared Scallops....there were so bland, we could not believe it. My son ordered the ultimate Grill and overall he was not satisifed. I have spent less and more for meals at other retaurants that were far more superior. This resturant is not one I would have to go to again and if I did, I would carefull choose from the menu"

"Visited as a group of 2 couples - As a member of their preferred guest program on a Thursday night, we were seated in a "snug" - a semi-private booth that afforded us a bit more privacy than usual - nice touch! Service was excellent. The calamari appetizer was terrific and the slads were both fresh and huge - everyone with a sald took some home to leave room for the main courses. M&S has cut back on their menu since we visited - I had the salmon, my wife had the cashew encrusted tilapia - fantastic! We'll return for another special occasion!"
