"I'd been to M&S before many times for business lunches and found it to be dependable for both good food and solid service. It has a lovely spot in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. When I heard they were serving a Mothers Day brunch I decided to give it a try. My mother absolutely loved the outdoor seating and the view of the water. The special brunch menu sounded great and the meals were beautifully presented. My mother and daughter liked their meals, but mine didn't live up to its billing. The food was slightly undercooked and could have been much better seasoned. It was adequate, but for the price I expected more. I'm willing to go back and to recommend it, but next time I will stick with the tried-and- true business lunch."

"We ate there friday night and there was 11 of us. Food overall was okay, my steak was a bit over done and my friend's was way overcooked she had to get it refired. Our starters seemed to take a while, with no bread and when they finally came out we didn't even have enough time to finish our starters before our entrees came out. Several of my friends sat there with empty drinks not to mention one of them waiting 20 minutes for her beer. I wanted mashed potatoes with my steak that never came. Our server was personable but maybe we needed two servers or he had too many tables."

"the location is excellent but the food is subpar, although the Maryland crab soup was good. I do not recommend the crab cakes, which are full of fillers and resemble corn fritters, rather than crab cakes made with lump crab meat. the caesar salad did not pass muster either - the dressing was sour and the croutons unflavorful."

"I went to M&S for a thank you lunch with two coworkers. Although it seemed like the lunch crowd hasn't arrived, it took 35 minutes to get our food. We all ordered the fish and chips. The hush puppies were AMAZING but our fries were slightly warm and our fish was over breaded. Everything was seasoned well though. I would have been happier if the waiter was more attentive, the food was hot, and the fish was lightly battered. Maybe they were training a new waiter and cook. I don't know. But, I'm not completely opposed to giving them another try."

"I was not delighted at all with my dining experience at this restaurant. The order the waitress totally got wrong on several courses and even when she did manage to get it right the kitchen got it wrong. An example of this is my son ordered his meat to be cooked medium which he was told would be a pink center. When the food arrived his meat was dry and there was no pink at all to the meat so the kitchen had over cooked it. I should have complained but there were just so many other issues that I just decided to vote with my feet and never return there again!"

"Very nice Inner Harbor restaurant, good food and excellent views of the harbor. We ate inside and had a nice booth but it would be great to come back on a warmer evening so we could sit outside on their lovely terrace. Menu has lots of choices and I'd like to try more of their entrees, ours were good and I'm sure others are as well. Our server was very friendly and did a good job."

"My favorite steak house closed about 10 years ago and I've been on a hunt ever since to find a prime aged filet mignon worthy of comparison. Hunt over. Steak was perfectly cooked, fork tender, and had little/no seasoning allowing the butcher and chefs abilities to speak for themselves. This 6oz gem was the kind of steak you'd want to spend hours cutting smaller and smaller pieces in order to prolong the experience.
Service was fantastic! Our server made excellent recommendations on parings. We sat in the atrium and had a wonderful view of the harbor. The only downside to this area is the occasional pedestrian thinking the atrium is part of the sidewalk and getting too close to the table for fine dining comfort."

"the food was overpriced for the quality. i ordered a spinach salad, which was totally bland and so i asked for bacon to be added. they upcharged $3 for the "bacon" which was actually dry, stale bacon bits of some sort. the food was bland and nothing special. I would not dine here again. I did not finish the food. Who messes up a spinach salad? On the positive side, the waiter was polite and the hostess was personable and friendly. I left there wishing I had chosen better, and feeling like I still needed to eat dinner somewhere else because I was still hungry."

"The restaurant was not busy, even though this was a Friday night. The food arrived very cold and 1 meal was missed altogether. The rest of the group was done with their meal by the time the final meal arrived. The server was absent throughout the meal. Drinks were not re-filled and utensils were not supplied. I requested the manager and after quite some time she arrived at our table and was very accomodating. This was not our first time dining at this restaurant but it will be the last!"

"I had hosted a group of 11 people the previous night and spent about 1000$. With the landry card that I got and registered just before my second visit, I thought that I could spend the reward-points earned. But I couldn`t, because apparently the points are only available one day later. I was very disappointed by that. On the other side, the crab cakes that I had were delicous."

"My drink was wrong (3 times)!!! My food came out with a totally different preparation than the one on the menu, but the server, nor manager had no idea there was a new preparation for this item. The items that I ordered in place of the messed up entree, were just ok!!!!! The manager came and SAT at my table to address my concerns (Very Unprofessional )!!!! I won't be going back!"

"My husband and I recently celebrated our birthdays with our families at this restaurant. The service was amazing and we had such a great experience that we lost track of time and ended up staying for 3 hours. The food is amazing and the desserts were ok, but we had the red velvet cake and it wasn't the best but people in our party raved about the creme brûlée. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion and party size!!!"

"Always a great place to go downtown. Good view of the Inner Harbor, elegant surroundings, great service. Food is always good, occasionally great. A bit pricy, but that's to be expected in its location."
