Welcome to our Ristorante!
Our menu is based on classic dishes that we experienced in people"s homes in Italy.
Some are family recipes and others we learned by cooking with friends back home in Roma.
This menu is structured for either a classic or family style "tasting" dining experience, depending on what mood you're in! No matter which way you dine we do encourage you to share and to try each other's dishes.
I hope you enjoy the simple ingredient combinations and taste the spirit of Rome in Chicago. Always remember that if you've had something here before and you don't see it on the menu, just ask. If we can make it for you we will.
Buon Appetito!
~Fabio & Letizia Sorano
"I have been there 2 times now and the food is just amazing. I am so impressed with the knowledge the staff has of the wine and food. This is one of my new favorite places in town!"

"I took my wife there for her birthday. (3 years ago same restaurant I proposed to her) From the moment we got there the staff was outstanding.. First our server was outstanding and allowed us to enjoy the night with out being on top of us every 5 min. From start to finish this place is outstanding. A must! Sit in the back patio!"

"I took my parents and their friends visiting from the south to Enoteca Roma for dinner. The restaurant could not have been better! We had a party of 8, and they sat us at a larger table in the back. It allowed for adequate privacy for our group. Janet, our waitress, was amazing. She was patient with all our questions and special requests. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Great value, menu, and atmosphere. I can't wait to go back and sit on the patio."

"I went with a friend for dinner and the vibe in the place was a little more romantic than expected. We sat in the front room and tables were extremely close together making it very intimate. Excellent service and great food. Portions were good sized. Usually with Italian pasta you get a pretty huge portion, but it was just enough to finish without feeling overly full. Bruschetta was awesome, I would recommend trying the flight (all 5 we chose were delicious)."

"My experience was great at Enoteca Roma! I made the reservation throught the website for 8 people and I had no problems there. The dinner was great and pasta was perfectly aldente! :))) The only thing that I wished is that there was more grilled items, more items with seafood that I exerienced in Italy. Also, I wished the pizza was thin and how it was in Italy. But other than that, it was great and I really recomend it!!"

"Can't say enough good things about Enoteca Roma. It was my wife's birthday this past weekend and we went there with a group of 8 and got the secluded table at the back of Letizia's, which I would also recommend. We got the chef's menu, which was an abundant amount of food for 8 people and everything was great, with the possible exception of the bread. My wife is a vegetarian, so they revised the chef's menu slightly, but there were plenty of meat options throughout our meal as well. The polenta was probably my favorite, but the cheese and salumi plates were great as were the salads and pastas. Our waiter, Ken, was really informative and funny and the drinks were fantastic. Will definitely be going back."

"Dinner for 9 is tough, Enoteca was perfect. We went for the Mangia, Mangia which provided our group of fairly discerning palates a great pleasure! Wine list that will stump all with such unique regional wines from more than just Italy, and food that was both accommodating and pleasing for the large group as well!
It had been a while since I was there personally and I am glad to have been reacquainted with Enoteca, I will be there often, especially with patio weather on its way back!
Service was knowledgeable, gracious, warm, and perfect!"

"The meal reminded us of being back in Italy! the special homemade pastas were phenomenal! Three cheese ravioli was really light and the pappardelle pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil was delicious. The bruschetta flight was tasty, the salads were fresh and flavorful and the beet salad had the best goat cheese I have tasted. the prosciutto was lean. The prices were really fair also. As my husband said, this place is worth the hassle of finding a parking spot! We will be back!"

"Having lived in Rome, Italy for a number of years as a professor of architecture, it was a joy to find a place in Chicago that brings the humble, yet complex flavors of Roman cuisine to our city. From the salumi antipasti to the risotto dishes, the hearty simplicity of Italian fare was vibrantly present. I will go back, frequently. Complimenti!"

"This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Chicago. Every course is a hit, starting with the bruschetta - the flight of 5 is definitely the way to go, and I wouldn't be surprised if you have to order another one so you can try all of the varieties (there are like 10 different kinds)! I followed the appetizer with homemade pasta; I couldn't choose just one gnocchi, so I had to try the trio. After tasting them, it will be impossible to choose next time! We ordered wonderful syrah for $32, and we ended the meal with a mimosa cake that was delicious. The atmosphere is very casual (some tables are in the bakery next door), but I have been with my husband for date night and girlfriends to celebrate; it's great for both!"

"Fun ambiance and interior. Terrific menu and food. Terrific waiter. Sitting in "back" in the bakery was a plus in our opinion because it was very nice and we could talk."

"It is a relatively small restaurant with only five booths and a bar, but it is definitely worth going. The food is reasonably priced, yet the presentation of the food is outstanding. The flight of bruschettas were awesome, but it is something you can very easily make yourself at home with friendly ingredients. Seafood risotto was very good with lots of seafood. The Vongole was ok.. We had a flight of Panna cotta for dessert, it was a great value, but again, something you can sorta make at home. For the price though, definitely worth it. I'd love to come back. Plus, our waitress was so nice and friendly."

"Their restaurant week menu was jam packed with awesome dishes. Great selection, great portions, great ingredients. Some restaurants, not all, but some, reduce down their dishes for restaurant week, be it size or overall goodness, but Enoteca Roma was not one of them. Our server was happy to help us choose a bottle of wine and had a great attitude. Very charming. :)"
