"I have being in this restaurant three times since my birthday on February, 3 months ago. I love the food!! The quality of the ingredients and the richness of the flavors are incredible for the price. It is not cheap but it is definetely your money's worth. The siders are a must, lentils or brussels and bacon. Both steak and salmor tartar are exquisite. The ambience is very amicable: low lights and low music. It feels very cozy without being tacky. The service can be faster, although last time it was much better. The waiters are very friendly and they don't rush you to get out. I recommend it for couples, groups or just to eat delicious and catch-up with a friend."

"The first steak that I ordered came out cold with soggy fries, but the excellent waiter swiftly returned with a hot, juicy steak and crispy fries. It should have been right the first time but I appreciated that they quickly remedied the problem."

"I've been to the restaurant twice now. Once with my girlfriend on a special night & the other night with some friends/colleagues. Both times the service was slow at best, at worst I had to get up several times to get them or fill my glass. Our first glass of champagne was almost warm. The food has tasted very good but this time it took nearly 45 minute to get our entree for 4 people & there weren't many people in the restaurant either. By the time the food got to us my salmon was lukewarm. Everyone was nice, the place is beautiful but it would be hard for me to go back if I had anywhere to be."

"Kind helpful staff, atmospheric, beautiful lighting , great French classics .. But... the one thing I was surprised about was to find salmon in my bouillabaisse. This is a Heresy. Call it soup de poisson Or what you will... But never in a bouillabaisse"

"Casimir knows how to do French cuisine right. This was my third time eating there, and it has never disappointed. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the boeuf bourguignon is the standout. It's homey, comforting and is reminiscent of your childhood (if you had a french grandmother or grew up in France).
While I cannot sing enough praises of the good, the service leaves something to be desired. There never seems to be enough wait staff which delays the food and drinks."

"Easy to get a reservation. The restaurant was empty at 8pm on a Friday which was concerning but got filled around 9pm. Feels like your in Paris great outdoor garden. Mussels and the duck were my favorite! Great brunch and weekday specials!"

"I checked "kid-friendly" because my son loves this place and has loved it since he was 5. His first favorite dish was confit de canard. Went there most recently for his 11th birthday. (These days he likes steak tartar.) The staff was lovely to him; BUT, be warned, this is not a "kid's" restaurant in the typical sense. No children's menu. No bland or processed food. Just good traditional bistro cooking in a mellow atmosphere. If you need smaller portions, appetizers are the way to go. Also, at least early in the evening, it isn't rowdy. I've been there & seen other neighborhood families eating with their children, too, and no one runs between tables. If your child is really active, even between courses, this is not the place for you."

"We came here from Ohio to celebrate my girlfriend's bachelorette party, and they were very accommodating to our party of 9. The restaurant had wonderful ambiance: quaint, exposed brick, vintage wine/champagne bottles, jazz in the background--the feel I want when in a big, new city. The crispy pork belly and salmon tartare appetizer were very tasty and a perfect starter to our meal. The duck confit was superb the and hanger steak left nothing to be desired. The best part--an awesome meal for an even better price--I expected to pay top dollar, as it is NYC, but it was very reasonable and worth every penny! Our party was very pleased and hope to be back when in NYC again."

"There was a very friendly waiter and he was very nice but it wasn't enough to make up for the slow service we received; it's a lovely restaurant if you have some time to kill but don't expect to have a quick meal if you have a time constraint. Ambiance is so fabulous though"

"Very cute, candle-lit interior was packed with groups even for a 10pm reservation time. The waiters could not be more friendly, very energetic, and ours was joking with us from the time we sat down until he held the door for us on our way out. The menu was varied with something for everyone's tastes, the fries that accompany many of the entrees notably superb!"

"Seems to have gone downhill a bit in the years since I last went. One or two servers for the entire restaurant, so everything took extremely long. Side room had no heating. Tunisian eggs were still delicious, but my friend's steak was not cooked rare as it was ordered."

"Casimir was great! I made a reservation for 7 ppl at 1:30pm for Brunch on Sunday. I was a little nervous as you never know how big of a restaurant it will be in East Village. It was spacious and the service was fast and friendly. The price is unbeatable ($20 for brunch and bottomless mimosas) so it was a great spot. CASH ONLY. I definitely plan on going back!"

"It could not have been better! Food was absolutely delicious, service unfailingly courteous and attentive. Only complaint (and it is a very minor complaint) is that the tables are quite small and even with only 3 of us seated at a table for 4, there was barely enough room. A true gem in Alphabet City!"

"The food was served not quite warm enough for the Valentine's Day prix fixe, though it tasted decent. I have been here on other occasions, though, and was happier with the experience. The place is nicely lit and has a good feel. The moules/frites are tasty."

"The food is amazing, very fresh, rich flavors, many options to choose. The salmon tartar and the beef tartar are delicious!! the mussels cooked in a white wine sauce are exquisite. It is a nice place to have dinner with your special other or to share appetizers and vine with friends. Unfortunately, i went on a Tuesday and there was only one waiter running the floor with the help of the bartender/manager. For that reason the service was slow, but they were very nice and tried to do their best."

"We went on Valentine's Day, so we had a Prix Fixe menu and they were not allowing substitutions, because they were so busy. That's fine, as I anticipated that coming in. We had a nice dinner. The restaurant is nice and the service was fine. The only flaw was that the tables are very close together which doesn't make for a romantic evening, particularly on Valentine's Day. We could have easily jumped into the conversations on either side of us."
