The Mantel Wine Bar and Bistro
The Mantel Wine Bar and Bistro is considered a Fine Dining Restaurant. Our cuisine consists of Prime Steaks, Seafood and Pasta's. We offer chef's specials daily both land and sea. Our executive chef creates all of our dishes to order, therefore special dietary requests can be satisfied.
We also offer an extensive wine list, with 36 wines available by the glass and over 100 available by the bottle.
Our staff is well trained in wine knowledge and cuisine, therefore we are happy to answer or suggest selections for our guests.
We offer wonderful desserts, with our Chocolate Gateau, Carnegy Deli New York Cheesecake, and tableside Bananas Foster.

"Mantel Wine Bistro is our favorite Bricktown restaurant. Our family has eaten there numerous times and it has never been less than superb. We have always been happy here but the updated menu has continued to improve everything. We would also say that the chef at Mantel is truly gifted and we would recommend trying some of the new dishes-they are outstanding. I would strongly recommend the steaks and the seared tuna. Also, if you are a fan of mussels-you must have them here!!"

"My wife and I were celebrating a "special" birthday and were not disappointed. I had the roast duck breast and my wife had the halibut . Both dishes were excellent. There was an excellent choice of wines by the glass and we both enjoyed a lovely Pinot Noir. Although the interior was a little dark the overall ambience was very pleasant -- low noise level making conversation easy. The service was excellent -- not hurried but timely, courteous and attentive. The prices were not inexpensive but were reasonable. We highly recommend The Mantel for a special evening dining experience."

"Our waiter (John, I believe) was very quick, knowledgeable and efficient. We had a wonderful dinner and he had great suggestions. It is a bonus that he knew so much about the menu as well as the drink menu. We arrived early and were also seated early with no waiting. We certainly appreciate that! Our food was plentiful - we couldn't eat it all! It was a wonderful visit with very tasty menu items. Fried green tomatoes and New York strip were very well presented and so good."

"Hit the area early in the evening before the crowds came so sat at the bar. Nice glass of Syrah, excellent tenderloin of beef done exactly as ordered and a really good salad. No bread offered but I was watching my carbs so no problem. A pot of decaf coffee was put on for me and weakening, I ordered the Creme Brule. The dessert's consistency suggested that it was made days before and the top was not crackly like a Brule should be. That was the only negative to good meal. I wouldn't hesitate to go back but I'd skip the desserts."

"The food at The Mantel is always great. This wasn't the first time though, that there was a big gap of time between our salads and our main courses arriving. I know they were busy because everyone was trying to get away to go to the Clapton concert, as were we. We made it in time, but felt rushed while eating. And it was too good to rush through! I would still recommend it, but maybe not if you have somewhere to be at a certain time."

"Very accommodating to our group. Delicious food although two in our group ordered the filet and didn't like the mustard flavor in the sauce. Everything I had was super delish! For a wine bar, I've had more choices by the glass although the selections we made were all very good. OKC is fortunate to have this gem. I've dined there a few times and have never not had a great meal and dining experience."

"The hostess was amazing. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation and she was very accomodating to seat us a little early. Unfortunaltly that was the highlight of the evening. Our cocktails took 15-20 minutes to get to our table, with out an appology. We had to ask what the soup of the day was and if there were any specials. Our first, second, and third choice for our entree were sold out. I was asking our waiter a question and he started to walk away, embarassed I just said never mind. My boyfriend asked the waiter to omit the sauce from his order. The waiter insisted on putting it on the side just so he could try it. The steak came out covered in it. The food was good,but will not go back after the horrible service."

"I been here once before and food/service was great. However it was with a group. I made reservations a couple months in advanced to take my girlfriend here Feb 15. That squeezed us a small table between two other tables next to kitchen. The cold air from entrance was blowing right in on us. I asked if we could be moved and the waitress said they had no other tables. Although there were hardly anyone in the place. It did get busy later on but I feel they could have went ahead and moved us. They were sitting many parties of two and bigger tables and even booths. I ordered the swordfish special that came with rice and asparagus as explained. When they brought the food out it was the fish sitting on a bed of cold potatoes."

"My birthday dinner at The Mantle was outstanding! The food was excellent as always, and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and our waiter. He was truly amazing! Sorry, I'm not good at names, but he reminded us of a younger, thinner version of the actor Jack Black. (I'm sure you will know who it is)... he answered all our questions with a smile and listened to our conversation with a genuine enthusiasm. Couldn't ask for more!"

"I went for a late lunch and A movie. The server was very good and efficient. Drinks were brought directly and the server was never intrusive. The steaks were very good and cooked to perfection.I will be back."

"The food was exceptional. We loved the scallops with apples and onions, superb. The risotto was good as well as the Wellington Trio. I expected the beef wellington to be a little better but the other two wellingtons were great. The beef wellington reminded me of something I bought at a street vendor in Jamaica... either the street vendor was really good or this wellington was average. Either way we enjoyed our visit. My wife wasn't overwhelmed with the waitress and her demeanor but it did fit the atmosphere as the decor wasn't exactly first class."
