Looking for a fresh catch on the West Side? Discover Uncle Nick’s! He was one of the first in the 80's to bring fresh, moderately priced Greek food to Manhattan in family sized portions and has been there ever since. "Food was good - the mixed starter for 2 comfortably fed 3 of us and the kebobs were tasty. The service was quick and attentive; the only annoyance was that they didn't register our attendance so I got a follow up email from Opentable saying I had missed a reservation and was on the naughty list.
All in all very good, lively vibe but not rowdy."

"Very nice meal. Ordered the moussaka and shrimp kebob...both were very good. Finished off with creme caramel which was excellent. Would definitely return to try some of their other dishes. Service was friendly and relatively quick so a good place to eat before heading to a show."

"Sorry to say, food was awful, service was awful. Shocking because it's always been a favorite place to eat. The feta cheese/tomato Saganaki is supposed to be hot and sizzling with melted cheese. It was sliced mediocre, cold tomatoes with a slab of feta cheese on top which may have been warmed for a couple minutes, maximum! We had a guest visiting from Canada who seemed underwhelmed! My friend's Greek salad had no dressing and wasn't the usual deliciousness and even the four combo dips were lacking in their usual wonderful flavor. The bus boy was taking plates and drinks off the table before people were finished. It was just not up to par. Very disappointing."

"We had a 6:15 reservation and arrived a little late due to so much traffic coming from New Jersey. We were going to a play at 7:00, so we had to really hurry and eat. "We came as a group of seven after an opera matinee. Our table was waiting for us. The service was outstanding, so was the food. My friend had the halibut and said it was the best she ever had. My partner and I have been here several times and it was never a miss. The other five in the group have been here for the first time and are already planning to come back."

"If you like good Greek food -- and seafood in particular -- this is probably the best place in Manhattan for it. Everything is consistently good. Seafood is clearly fresh, and always perfectly prepared. I strongly recommend the grilled sardines. And you can never go wrong with the Saganaki as an appetizer, or the Moussaka as an entree."

"A group of 12 of us, including one baby, celebrated my sister's birthday at Uncle Nick's on Saturday evening. It was a good venue in every way. The food was great and plentiful. We were seated at the back large booth which worked out well. Special kudos to our server Evie who managed to stay on top of everything, including a special request to bring the birthday cake twice for the baby! We couldn't have asked for a better evening. Thank you, Uncle Nick's!"

"Lively, noisy, old-school Greek restaurant. Very authentic food and atmosphere. It is crowded and the waiters seem hurried, but you will have fun at Uncle Nick's. The tzatziki is not to be missed."

"We arrived a little late due to traffic but that was not a problem. We had to eat quickly due to theater tickets but the staff was wonderful in getting our food out promptly. It was very good and the flaming cheese is Delicious a must have. They even offered to hold our leftovers and we picked them up after our show. Very nice place we will be back for a quieter night."
