Chef José L. Prado is excited to add one more restaurant to his family's collection with Cocina Primavera. After spending the last 25 years as Executive Chef at world renowned, The Ivy, Chef Prado has partnered up with his daughter, Lupe Prado Sanchez, and son, Joe Prado as they continue to grow the family restaurant business into the next generation.
We are a family owned and operated restaurant, serving our signature dishes: Crabcakes, Sweet Corn Tamales, Jerk Chicken Tostadas, Chopped Salad, Oven Roasted Whitefish, and Red Wine Sangria. We have a great selection of beer and wine!
"This is a great find. The atmosphere is great, the service was excellent, and the food was good. I don't think I ordered well and would like to go back to try other dishes. The paella was fairly bland, but the tortilla soup was tasty. The flan was excellent. We will definitely be back."

"The food was so tasty and seafood cooked perfectly. We were a table of 5 and everyone raved about their dishes. The service was prompt, friendly and professional. It's small but cute and cozy place."

"(on noise--we were there very early so it was quiet. don't think it would be later.)
We've been trying to eat here for ages but were waiting too late to make reservations. We really liked every entree very much (there were 4 of us). We all had various shrimp or other seafood dishes The amazing thing is that the prices are much lower than equivalent food elsewhere in West LA and downtown. I had no idea this would be true. What a pleasant surprise. The desserts are great too."

"The food is absolutely, hands down incredible. House made guac and tortilla chips were hard to share! I had the swordfish for dinner - great piece of fish with tasty sides. More plantains please! Others in my party had the chicken and the special, a white fish from the great lakes. Everyone raved. I booked this restaurant for a business dinner with clients who I've known a long time. There were six of us and that's about as big a party as I'd have at Cocina Primavera. The restaurant space is a bit small so it may not be ideal if you're looking for power business dinner ambience. However, if your client is a fan of or from the carribean, you cannot go wrong here."

"I don't get all the hype. This place was just ok. Food was nothing special, it tasted just like your average latin fusion restaurant in the neighborhood. Place is small and service was good, not attentive but good overall as our server was very pleasant. Wine selection is ok."
