"My father has spoken of this restaurant many times and I finally had the opportunity to go with my best friend for my 30th birthday. We enjoyed a beer at the bar while we waited for our table. The bartender was friendly and discussed beer with us. My friend and I opted to split every plate so we can take advantage of trying as much as we could. We ordered Coccio (calamari), then the Del Chianti (thinly sliced filet with gorganzola fondue, then the risotto carciofi e gorganzola and salmon special. While the calamari was nothing to brag about, we tore into the hot (yes it was steaming) bread and dipped it into every sauce that was left over. The filet was AMAZING as was the risotto and salmon. And our server was so attentive."

"My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at Chianti II. The owner came to our table to greet us while we were having our before dinner drink, our wait staff was excellent and the food remarkable. Best of all the prices on the menu were a pleasant surprise. The next time we are in Saratoga Springs we will most certainly return for another dining experience. Whatever you do be sure and have a cup of coffee after your meal, even the decaf. It is delicious!"

"This was our first visit to Chianti for dinner, having previously been there twice for enjoyable Happy Hour experiences. We chose to dine outdoors on this occasion and were seated in their canvas enclosed area which housed a number of tables. It was a very comfortable setting, and we felt well taken care of by our servers. We opted for Chianti's Sunday A Cena Per Primi, which offers a selection of 3 course dinners before 5:30 PM for only $19. My wife chose grilled asparagus with prociutto and egg for her antipasti, while I selected calamari in spiced tomato broth. For our main courses, we both chose Penne Alla Norma. Everything was delicious. For dessert, we both chose excellent Tiramisu. Service was efficient, yet friendly. We'll return."

"Food and service were very good. Took us right on time. But the seating was suspect. Hardly anyone in the room as we had 5:15 reservations but we were sat practically right on top of the only other people in the room. I can understand when it's busy but being my wife and I and this other couple were the only ones there I would have thought we could have been spread out a little better. Hard to have privacy when you're a few feet away and no one else in the room for at least a good 20-30 minutes."

"We had to ask for the $19 special menu that was advertised on their website for Sundays. There were several vegetarian options, mainly in the pasta category. Our penne with spinach and almonds was enjoyable with perfectly cooked penne but was a bit salty. Wine was overpriced with the least expensive at $8 per glass. Otherwise the three course Sunday special was a good value. Don't expect particularly creative vegetarian cooking, however. Service was friendly and attentive."

"Chianti never fails to live up to high expectations. Service is friendly and professional from the moment one walks in. On this particular night, I was bringing a friend, to whom I had given very high expectations of this restaurant. Not only did the food and service live up to expectations, it far exceeded it! The timing of the courses were perfection. One never waited for, or wondered when the next course was arriving. The waitress was very attentive and answered any questions thoroughly regarding wine or menu choices. Chianti is always the perfect choice for outstanding food and service!!"

"We were disappointed with our experience here. Our waiter never read us the specials. He did not know the wine list at all and never offered to send over a sommelier or at least someone who was familiar with the wines. I asked how he would characterize the three different Barbera D'Asti selections, and he said he didn't know and would ask. He came back and said, "they're all the same wine, just different wineries." In hindsight, that's kinda funny. Obviously, I had figured that one out on my own.. We ended up going with wines by the glass because we were afraid to commit to a bottle without any descripton. We found the food a little uninspiring and not very unique, though everything was prepared well. Glad to see farro on the menu."

"food overpriced for quality. meat was overdone and dessert was like a stale cupcake with some stale whipped cream on it. Meat was served with overcooked spinach and the potatoes were not anything special. Still felt hungry when I finished."

"we had some trouble when we arrived and the restaurant did NOT have our open table reservation in their computer despite our getting an email confirmation. They scrambled and seated us after a little wait at a small table until an adequate table opened up. Food was awesome as always and so was the service. would definitely recommend."

"Not from the area but tried this on recommendation from a local. Ambitious menu with some items not often seen in regular Italian restaurants. Unfortunately, my penne alla vodka was too salty but our anti-pasta was delicious and very different from the regular fare of marinated vegetables, This one had hot items but could have been better with some cheese added. Don't miss the biscotti after your meal....they are the real deal!"

"Although the company of what we refer to as our "Dinner Club" always have a spectacular time, the entire staff was very accomodating, witty, and fun. The food was great, far better than most other Italian restaurants.They do not rush you out the door. Our waiter David made the entire experience even better. We can't wait to return"

"Chianti has become one of our favorite restaurants when visiting Saratoga (we are there about 6 x/ year!). The service is always spot on- have always had friendly and knowledgable waiters. A little funny is that we almost always get the same table !!! The food is consistently delicious and they always have some interesting specials. My only complaint is that the tables are too close together. I hate having to get contortionistic to sit at a table-- they really squish in a few tables for 2!!"

"First time at CHiantis. Could not have been more relaxed, great atmosphere. Hint if you want a quiet dining experience, ask to be seated in dining room. We were near the bar, it was a busy bar evening and a little noisy and people very close to our table from the overflow at bar. Goof delicious and many different selections to choose from."

"Our second visit in about 6 weeks. The food was great the first time and even better the second time.
