"I have been to Harborside many times and it never fails to be a fabulous dining experience. I would give the wait staff AAAAA++++, they are fantastic. Food is great as well. Love watching the planes take off and land and the boats sail by. Always something to watch. The Harborside's remodel is beautiful. A restaurant well worth dining in."

"This place is a regular stop for us when we want to celebrate one of life's midsize moments (e.g., not Canlis-sized, or by any means Canlis-priced either!). Harborside feels like an independent restaurant, not like a cog in McCormick & Schmick's chain. Expansive views, tons of room between tables, in a low-traffic area, etc. The food is always quite good - maybe not Canlis or Rover's, but without their prices either. As a family of four we got out for under $200 including tax and tip (and no one ordering off the kid's menu, a couple of drinks, a couple of desserts)."

"We had a reservation, it was honored either up or downstairs. We arrived on time, and were seated downstairs immediately. Waitress was fast and attentive. Food was timely. We had the mussels and clam dish, and it was fabulous! We each had the steak and lobster, and agreed that while the lobster was scrumptious, and the steak was prepared to specs, the flavor was lacking. Sorry. It was a special evening for us, and the restaurant made it special. Thank you"

"We celebrated a graduation celebration dinner for 11, and the staff was very accomodating in getting us a nice table, after we changed the headcount 3 times. Food was good, view was fantastic, service is excellent."

"After making a reservation online and receiving a confirmation we arrived to discover they didn't have our reservation on file at all. We were still able to be seated outside (as I had requested) on a nice warm night only to discover it is really really windy right there and very cold. Maybe they should get some of those outdoor heaters or offer blankets, we all had to return to the car for jackets and blankets. Our server was great we really liked him and he was very attentive and timely with anything we asked for except for drinks. Maybe the bar was overwhelmed or backed up. Food was great. 4 of us ordered the Mac and Cheese and 1 of us ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was all very good. We will be back! Next time we will wear coats."

"We love McCormick and Schmick's Harborside restaurant. The food is so good. The wait staff always friendly and helpful. Whether for big groups or just a quiet intimate place to dine, it is our favorite. There is a separate dining room that you can use if you have a very large group, such as a celebration of life or rehearsal dinner party. I love that you can either order the seafood with sauce etc, or you can order it cooked simply. For example, either trout amandine, or baked trout.You can see the city, including the Space Needle from one set of windows and also The Episcopal Cathedral and Cornish school of arts out another set. The scenery just blends like a panorama. Seaplanes take off and land, on Lake Union, which is fun to watch."

"My salmon dish was not as good, as I was hoping it would be. I ordered the "Alaskan Sockeye Salmon
Fingerling Potato, Sun Dried Tomato, Pea Vine Sauté, Huckleberry Butter Sauce" and it just didn't have much flavor. I was really expecting a "WOW" kind of dish, and this just wasn't. The crabcake appetizer was wonderful and the wine was amazing, but I was disappointed in the dinner dish. :("

"Four of us had lunch on Tuesday to celebrate a birthday and in my opinion McCormicks was an average experience. I chose the fish tacos and they were fried pieces of flounder. Could not eat the entire tortilla shell as it was very dry. I have had much better fish tacos at the Beach Café in Edmonds. Can't finish them and they are stuffed with salsa and veggies.
I doubt that I will recommend McCormicks in the future. Let the frequent out of town travelers support this high end establishment."

"The Mother's Day Brunch was okay. I did not realize it was a buffet, never would have gone there as I am not a fan of Buffet Brunches where the food is all laid out for the taking...yeesh. In addition it felt like you had to walk to the next building to get your food. It felt very cold and just unappealing in the ambiance department. At least there was a nice view of Lake Union. BUT my MIL had a good time and that is what is was all about. I waited too long to make reservations. Learned my lesson. I have enjoyed dinner below in the bar on several occassions and will give that food 3 stars. The 2 stars was meant for Mothers Day only.

"This turned out to be a disappointment. Brunch or Dinner on Mothers day is usually not the best experience. The restaurant had opened up some additional dining space for the occasionbut, they didn't add the usual table or room decorations so the room ambience was plain at best.
The food was served from a buffet. and they had a very wide selection of food selections. That was fine except most of the food all looked to be overcooked. That was hard to understand because we got to the restaurant only 45 minutes after they started serving.
The service was fine, they actually seated us a few minutes early.
The price of $ 36.00 per person was excessive given the condition of the food. Guess we'll not try to go out for Mothers day here again."

"We had a quiet dinner for three on the remodeled second level, which has a spectacular view of south Lake Union and downtown. The wait staff is perfectly friendly, and there are elements of fine dinning in their presentation, but our waitress took an order for an appetizer and completely forgot about entrees until we grabbed her after the appetizer had been cleared. Also, she forgot to check back on wine selection. And, she was, frankly, slovenly. The "Chef's Recommendation" was King Salmon, grilled with the trademark chuck wagon grill marks on the filet. The fish was properly cooked on the interior, but the grill marks dry the outer third of the filet. It was a mediocre piece of fish, and an uninspired preparation for the salmon."

"I usually do not write reviews. This is an exception. I was very disappointed by McCormick and Schmick's Harborside. The door were locked whenwe arrived at 11 am for our brunch reservation. We were given the lunch menu and had to ask for the brunch menu. We only figured our that there was a brunch menu when another table ordered an item not on our menu. The service was more than poor. Our server also was stationed at the bar. She was obviously more interested in serving at the bar than serving our table. We went to the bar twice to request service, like coffee refill.
Our table had a beautiful view in the corner. This did not makeup for our poor experience."

"We went in the afternoon & there was only 1 other table there. Everyone was friendly, but the server was never around. She forgot the bread that we ordered to receive before the meal. We weren't offered drink refills until the meal was almost over. I had to ask for additional tartar sauce, and then she brought me another small tartar so I ran out again. She offered my sister a to go box, but not me so I had to ask for one (and I had more food on my plate than she did).
It was a nice restaurant, the food was fine but not anything to write home about. We went there since it was close to our doctor's office, but probably won't go back."

"We went during restaurant week, and it seemed like we were a burden on the staff. We asked for the restaurant week menu, but only received half as many as people in our group. Later, we wanted to split the bill, but were warned that it would take a while.
The food was great, and the view on South Lake Union was pleasing."

"The service from our waitress Casey was very good with the caveat, when she was

The host brought with him black linen napkins to the table for my guests that were
wearing black. Often times, lint or starch from a white linen napkin will find its way
on to a black garment. This was an attentive touch.
The restaurant signage was somewhat confusing for a first time visitor. The canopy
with the restaurant's name actual let the the bar on the ground level. There was a
sign to inform guests that the restaurant was on the second floor but there was no

"M & S has been 1 of our favorite restaurants for over a decade. It was the #1 place we took out-of-towners to wow them with the food, the service & the view & the place we went for special meals of outstanding seafood. The view remains. The food, since the restaurant became part of the Landry's group, has become uninspired and lower in quality ... its still OK but not special. The service has lost its sparkle, too. Our last visit was for Easter Brunch and we were there between the rushes of guests, when we were surrounded by empty, clean tables. Still, our wait staff was in our area 3 times before we could catch her eye to request water with our meal (and our already-delivered cocktails). $100+ for a party of 2 and not much to brag abt."

"I have been to this restaurant in the past and really liked the food. We were VERY disappointed. The fish was greasy and over cooked. One of our group coule only eat a couple of bites of her food. The waitress was very intrusive. Overall, I will not go back to this location of McCormicks and Schmicks. Which is very disappointing as we live on Lake Union and love the location. We just had a very poor experience. We booked this because we had out of town guests and wanted them to see the lake and enjoy some great food. BAD!! Never again."

"My wife and I went for valentines day expecting something special. It seemed they packed the dining room as tight as they could with little 2 person tables to where there was no view at all where we sat. 14 dollars for a quarter glass of basic zinfandel was ridiculous. Then I ordered a steak medium rare. A nice thick steak showed up at my table but when I cut into it it was raw. My waiter even said it looked like steak tartar. I was not given the option of any financial compensation. So I sent my steak back. When my new steak arrived it was half the size of the original one and my wife was already done eating by then. So I had to get my meal to go. My 16 year old got to enjoy my refrigerated left over steak the next day."

"We have been to the Harborside several times before. We went on Valentine's day as a special treat for my wife. I was disappointed by the food this time primarily because the salmon was quite dry and the optional crab & lemon topping was totally unsatisfactory. It was tasteless and unappetizing in appearance.

"I have ate at this Mccormicks at harborside many times using open table so when booking my fiance and I's valentines
Night dinner I didn't think anything of it. I booked a reservation days in advance we were 10 min early i requested to have a table for two overlooking The water we didn't get that they stuck us in the back with absolutely no view and didn't even bother to say It's not avail. The
waiter was horrible we only seen him twice had to wait 35 min just to get our check. They made a special valentines menu that we had to choose from when we picked a meal on the menu we were told the food was not in season which makes no sense, why put it on the special made menu in the first place . We will not be dining there ever agai"

"The location is very good as it has good views of the water ,the Seattle skyline and spcae needle. We went to this restaurant on Valentine's day and the food was poor at best. We had reserved our table for 9PM and we got seated at 9:30. Both our entrees had sauce which was salty. We were really hungry and were waiting for some bread and they gave it to us with our entrees!"
