McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Seattle
Considered to be one of Seattle's best restaurants, McCormick & Schmick's features an extensive Pacific Northwest seafood and fresh fish menu. The handsome interior of rich mahogany wood, brass and stained glass creates an inviting, upscale, yet unpretentious environment. The full service bar is always bustling with locals and visitors from out of town. Located two blocks from the waterfront at 1st and Spring Streets, just down the street from the famed Pike Street Market.
McCormick's prepares fresh seafood in a traditional manner with a contemporary twist, as well as many other original favorites such as sirloin steak, and McCormick and Schmick's classics.

"Many great choices on the menu. We had a party of six so were able to try a variety of items and everything was outstanding. Service was good but could be better; had to wait longer than expected several times. All things considered (food, service, ambience, location, etc), prices were a bit on the high side. An enjoyable dining experience but will probably try one of the other locations next time."

"Thanks to Mccormicks we had the best Mother's Day yet! They reserved a special space for us without our knowledge, our Server did an amazing job with our group. This was our first Mother's Day without my grandmother so itvwas important to us that our moms enjoyed themselves. Both my Mom and Aunt let us know they really enjoyed themselves and everything from the choice of restaurant to the service was on point! Thank you!"

"We arrived much earlier than are scheduled reservation. Were greated by Nick, who also ended up being our waiter, and I believe the Manager. Both were friendly and made us feel welcome. Our menus were personallized with husband's name and a Happy Birthday wish. Wow! The location, service and food were lovely. So many food choices and all good. Nick took the time to make us feel welcome and facilitate a lovely dinner and celebration."

"I used to come to mccormicks for lunch often for great food and service. That has now changed. A group of us went for lunch and it took 1 hour to get our order! The waiter was basically MIA during this whole time as well. What was really strange is when I ordered the Sea Bass special and I was told they were sold out. This was at noon in an virtually empty restaurant. The manager eventually came over and apologized for the delay, but did not offer a free dessert or anything like that. The whole experience was disappointing."

"Having been here for many St. Patrick's Days, this one was quieter, probably because it was on a Sunday this year. However, the food was excellent--I had the Irish Whiskey salmon and spinach. My daughter had chicken and pasta. We kept oohing and awing about how good it tasted. The service was there when we need it and not there when we were talking and didn't want to be bothered. One downside was there was no valet parking on Sunday. Being handicapped, that was troublesome."

"Good experience overall. Good food. Went there for my birthday celebration and was brought out desert with a candle & then charged $10 for it without even being asked. Half my dinner was put on the wrong end of the table by our server & was half gone before I was able to eat some. I ended up buying 2 drinks that weren't mine due mix ups with the bill from the server. I expected a lot more for $75 per person."

"My wife and I had a Valentine's day lunch reservation at 1:00pm. The hostess was extremely friendly, was ready for our arrival. The waiters were professional, knowledgeable, yet casual "non stuffy" at the same time. My wife enjoyed her Asian chicken salad with potatoes gruyere on the side, which were marvelous. "Wonderful menu- hard to decide!
Cold spots because of air conditioning. The first table we sat at was freezing becaue cold air blew directly on the table. We commented on it so we were given a different table. We watch the next couple who was sat there given a dfferent table too. In hindsight, there was likely someone who sat at the same table prior to us, who also requesed to be moved because there was water rings from their glasses on the table when we initially sat down."

"The dining experience was disappointing. The food did not seem fresh--the crab and papaya in the "crab tower" seemed canned and the portion was very small. It did not compare to the food at the Bellevue location. The server was lovely, replaced the crab tower with a spinach salad which was also warm and didn't seem fresh. This restaurant used to be very good and was very well regarded. I don't know what happened."

"This is a great place to take clients to for lunch and dinner. I had lunch there and my clients enjoyed their meals. The entree I chose was one of the specials of the day. It was okay and if I had spent more time looking at the menu instead of talking business with my clients, I probably would have chosen something more to my liking. "Overall the food was amazing. I ordered a Top Sirloin and my wife ordered Stuffed Salmon. The only thing we didn't like was that her salmon arrived under cooked in the middle. We were told that sometimes the Chefs make them medium-rare, but in my experience all fish should be fully cooked unless the customer requests."

"My sister and I took our niece out to celebrate her 30th birthday, we noticed that on the top of our menus said "Happy 30th Birthday", that was really cool and made it special. The food and atmosphere was excellent, would absolutely recommend this restaurant for any occasion. They made our night a very special one...Thank you"

"McCormick & Schmick's is my favorite restaurant in Seattle, but this time we were seated in the bar area, in a not too pleasant area. Not so sure why this was the case. As a result this wasn't the best time we have had here. However, for the most part, I do like this restaurant very much and would recommend it to others."

"Seated in a comfortable "back corner" booth early on a Friday evening, the restaurant was not yet packed and there wasn't much traffic or noise in the area. The wine-by-the-glass list was reasonable variety/quality at reasonable prices. One person had the crab and brie stuffed Atlantic salmon which came with garlic mashed potatoes and broccolini and the other had the crab-stuffed shrimp with red pepper white cheddar mashed potatoes and broccolini. Both entrees were excellent and portion size was very adequate but not huge. We finished with one scoop each of very good cinnamon ice cream. Overall a very nice dining experience,though we did feel the service, while nicely done, was a little slow, particularly in bringing/completing check."
