"They have changed their menu recently and it is excellent. They went through a period where the menu items were not up to par. I must say that their food and their service has improved so much. Our latest group to eat there totalled about 30 people. The waiter was fantastic and was able to "keep up" with all of our attorneys."

Review 2 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"I have to eat gluten free (Celiac). There is no gluten free menu, but our waiter told me the gluten free options after conferring with the chef. I had a south-westerny steak salad (don't remember the name, sorry) and it was delicious and very filling. Loved the atmosphere, good service, good food, and they did NOT gluten me, so I'd love to go back."

Review 3 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"Service was a little shakey, however the food perfect. The band thay friday night was a little to loud i could hardly keep a conversation going and the mike was a little to high making it harder to understand. Everything was clean, bathrooms, floor, tables and i look foward to my next visit."

Review 7 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"Food was not good. We had the citrus grilled chicken, chicken wings and lobster mac and cheese. Not one of us at the table enjoyed our meal. There was a band which I would normally enjoy, but since we were seated at the table directly in front of it, we could not even had a conversation. Would not recommend."

Review 8 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"The pictures were a little misleading online, and I took a client to this restaurant. It was a little too casual for a professional lunch appointment, BUT the food was great, and we had a great waiter. Just be aware that this is more appropriate for dining with a peer or a coworker rather than trying to impress a client."

Review 9 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"We all loved our dinners and had a great time just being able to relax and talk. The waiter was great and attentive. Kind of glad we left before the band started to play because it gets a bit loud when you are trying to talk. I do not think there is a bad thing on the whole menu!"

Review 10 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"Went to House of Blues restaurant because we had tickets to a concert upstairs. If you don't mind a loud restaurant the food was above average and the pricing was great. I've heard complaints that it is overpriced but not for the quality and the atmosphere. Food presentation was way above average - clearly done by an above average chef. Everything we had was really good. I would definitely recommend it to friends who like a loud vibrant atmosphere. The sound system for the live music was not great and the musicians were completely drowned out by the diners. But this was what I expected. Don't go for the music in the restaurant - go for the food. The concert venue upstairs was AWESOME! Didn't have to wait in line since we ate there."

Review 11 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"I was very pleased with everything including the service, food and atmosphere. We were there celebrating a birthday so there were 7 of us at the table. The waitress took care of all of us and always was on top of things when glasses were low or felt we might need something. All in all it was a very enjoyable lunch and I am very appreciative."

"Live music was far too loud to enjoy the dining experience. Most of us were shouting at those sitting next to us...as our voices could not compete with the music. Recommend better volume control."

"The atmosphere is really cool, much like any other House of Blues, with the folk art and entertainment. The food was good, but nothing to get excited about. If you are looking for a place to dine before a concert at House of Blues this is the perfect place."

"I brought a group of 10 for lunch on a Friday. We were greeted and seated promptly, served quickly and professionally and enjoyed the lunch. The salads and cornbread were very good. The waitress brought our check promptly and was very friendly. What more could you ask for? I'll be back. Good for work groups."

Review 16 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"Spiral downward as “the place to eat”. Sent the drink back .The fish dish was very subpar! The fish very dry, very small portion and could have been frozen . The string beans were hard and uncooked. The real surprise the check, $60 for a burger, special, and 2 drinks!!! The pass the line benefit is not required when seating is purchased therefore eating and shopping are becoming less attractive. The venue has great bands for a reasonable price. The addition of “FOOD” in the venue is a GREAT addition! Keep the Stella coming! I keep wondering why I keep coming back! maybe this is the last?"

Review 17 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"I went with a friend last Sat for dinner. Due to traffic/event going on downtown, I was late for my reservation. The restaurant was very accommodating. Our waiter, John, was very engaging, friendly and always smiling. We ordered the chicken wings, shrimp and grits and bread pudding. The food was good. We sat right in front of the big screen TV but it was not too loud. We were able to carry on conversation with no problem. The waiter came back to re-fill our drinks frequently. In addition, there was some confusion with my open table reservation. The manager, David, was very understanding and go out of his way to make sure that I got my points. He has a great attitude and evidently very experienced in handling customer concerns."

Review 19 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"I have been to HOB / Houston many times and have always been very pleased. I recently made reservations online as I usually do. Everything was great as usual with a few minor exceptions. My reservation was made for 6:15pm. We were seated right next to a loud group who stood beside their table and continually bumped into my guest and I. there were notably several vacant tables throughout the restaurant. I was also slightly disappointed with the wine selection. Was looking for a Shiraz but it was not available. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the food and service."

"My wife and I attended the Scott Weiland show, but not before eating at Crossroads. The service was excellent. Travis was very attentive and helpful in helping with our food choices. The food was very good and came out in a timely manner. And eating with live music playing was very enjoyable too. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great night. Oh and by the way, thinking of applying for a job as a server or bartender. It just looks like a cool place to work as well. Thanks again!"

Review 23 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"WOW, I never knew there was such a gem within an hours drive of my residence. This was a FABULOUS date night. The food was good, the drinks were good. The band playing in the dining room was good. The ambiance was great. It is not a place to talk because the music is loud but that is what you are there for. The concert upstairs was awesome, a nice size but not too big."

"Food was fabulous and service was stellar. Great for a quick bite before a concert and could be a hoot with the right group of friends. Parking is not fun, but easily overlooked by the great food! You must try the maple butter cornbread, it's melt-in-your-mouth good."

"Went to grab a bite before a concert. Food was good, but felt a little rushed. We were in and out within 40 minutes, though we were trying to have a leisurely dinner. Fast service is good, but I guess not when you want to take your time"

Review 32 for Crossroads at House of Blues - Houston
"Expected more from a 1000 point restaurant. Food was "ok" at best, very overpriced for the type of ultra-casual place that Crossroads is. Service was good, but that was the only good quality. Felt like a Chili's or Applebee's if they had price increases on their food. Quality of food was on par or lower than either of those establishments. Won't be going back. Why anyone would recommend this place when there are literally hundreds that are significantly better within a 5 to 10 min car ride, I'll never understand."

"We went on a friday during the NBA allstar weekend. It was a nice place, didn't get the live entertainment I was hoping for, and they were kicking everyone out at 9 to convert the place into a club. But besides that, the service was very good and I would go back when there isn't a big event in town.and its best to make reservations before going."
