"It's been a while since I've eaten here, but one of the previous highlights was well prepared escargot. Generally speaking, people order this delicacy more for the garlic butter than the arthropod, but for some reason the snails here were actually tasty. The food was reasonably well prepared with no complaints. The mousse in a chocolate bag however, was a standout dessert."

"Evert time we had dinner at this location, we always had a wonderful time. The foor, waiters and hostesses are very plesent and helpful. Enjoy the last time, which was Mothers day. Had a table in a secluded section with curtains. Loved the extra attention we received."

"We had a party of 7 and a reservation at 4 on Mother's Day. We waited a few minutes while they set the table up, not long. We were in a semi-private room with a curtain you could pull closed. It made the noise level very low and we could all talk and hear just fine. The food was exceptional - everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We will definitely return for another special occasion - this was our second, we had Thanksgiving there last year and it was great too!"

"Everything was great up until I was wrapping up with my dinner, I was happy with the environment, my server, my table, and food. But as I was eating my desert, there was a young lady with a guy that seemed like the manager that were pointing and looking at my table and then they would whisper to each other. It made me feel very uncomfortable and I felt rushed like if I had to leave so I have to admit that they made me very upset to the point where I don't want to go back and dine at that restaurant anymore because I felt like I was timed when I was trying to enjoy dinner with my wife for mother's day."

"My reservations were for 8pm. We got there at about 7:55. They told us our private booth would be ready " in a few minutes". We ended up waiting 40 minutes for a booth and I had to check with the staff a few times to make sure they hadn't forgotten me. Once we were seated it took about 10 minutes to get our bread and water. And the waiter didn't care to check on us often.
The shrimp kisses were an excellent appetizer as always we had two orders of them.
My main course was the blackened chicken pasta. That was excellent as well.
I can't complain about the food it was great. As far as the service though it has went to the dumps since they were bought out by Landry's."

"Had a res for 6:45pm. Trying to join 2 out of town Canadian guests. Show up 6:40. ask the receptionist- "anyone here for my reservation? answer-"You're the first to arrive" OK I'll just stand by the front door -10ft away- and wait. After, 25 min, I think my party can't locate the McCormick's and am about to leave. I step over to the receptionist and ask. Anyone ever show up for my reservation? this time YES THEY HAVE BEEN SEATED. Frankly I'm now angry. Go to table. After ANTOHER 15 TO 20 MINUTES I FLAG DOWN A WAITER AND ASK- Is anyone waiting on this table. We'd like to order a drink. It goes on from there.

"The food was excellent! The hostess was really nice. Everyone at the front were nice. The only problem that occurred was that the waiter had a bad attitude. Not really sure if he was having a bad day or what but he was really rude. The other waiters that I encountered were nice and respectful. But this specific waiter was just rude. Besides him, I loved the restaurant and I plan to come back."

"The ambience, service, and most of all food at McCormick's has, if anything, improved since acquired by Landry's. Perhaps a little less emphasis on the "fresh today" menu, but positively replaced with special items that your taste buds can savor. Always a favorite, never disappointing, and sometimes even surpassing already expectations. Particularly nice for "upscale" business dining--lunch or dinner."

"My husband ordered steak and it wasn't cooked correctly. He isn't one to complain though. He asked for med. well and it was med. rare. I don't think the waiter heard him correctly with all the loud noise. My food was great and I enjoyed it. He on the other hand took his to go and he cooked it more when we got back to the hotel."

"Although the food was delicious, the amount of roasted potatoes and vegetables given with my tilapia fish was not enough compared to other restaurants, and amount paid. I had to order an extra order of roasted potatoes. My tilapia fish came with about 5 little potatoes, and barely any vegetables which was equivalent to enough food for a child.
The food was delicious and service was good. The amount of food given was not good."

"Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere...equals one excellent anniversary celebration. I love that the menu is also posted online. That allows one to make some very good choices if you are trying to pay attention to calories. My husband and I both had delicious meals without consuming 3 days worth of calories in one sitting! His Parmesan crusted flounder was tender and buttery. I had the cashew crusted tilapia and it was equally good. I especially liked the sweet potato couscous side dish with this. The steamed veggies were tender crisp and perfect. Saving room for dessert, I chose the chocolate bag, and was advised by our server that it was large enough to share. A nice suggestion, and an amazing dessert!"

"I was recommended this place by a limo driver. Was told it is pricy but will be a great place to have a business dinner with clients.The price was high as noted, the atmosphere was great, but the service was too casual and the quality of the food did not match the asking price. "This was not the first time that I had dined at McC&Smick, and the experience has never been disappointing. My only complaint this time is that the vegetables (string-beans and carrots) were so undercooked as to be uneatable. I agree that most vegetables one encounters are lamently overcooked, but this was stretching a point too far in the other direction. The waiter quickly offered to return the dish to the kitchen. But my friend and I decided simply to take the veggies home and render them eatable there.As for the background music, the volume probably had to do with earlier large crowds (the day was Easter) and simply hadn't been reduced as crowds dwindled."

"Fabulous dinner, excellent ambiance just a slight pause in our waiters step. Would definitely take our 3 children ages 4-13 back for the best dinner in town. The steak was cooked to our request and the lobster mashed potatoes were divine. The kids chicken strips were not pretentious, but the perfect proportion and desired consistency to his liking. Our 13 year old was treated with respect and even given a little smile when she confidently ordered lobster tail on the side.... we enjoyed our evening even though we were never offered dessert and our waiter was not in the least bit of a hurry. We normally don't want to be rushed, but waiting for our drink order was not acceptable."

"We have dined at M&S many times. At this price-point we expect excellent everything! Our service was incredibly slow, the rainbow trout was over-cooked so much so that the skin was difficult to separate from the meat. It just seems that this restaurant has been going downhill over the past year. I'll try the Town & Country location next time as a final opportunity for M&S to earn my business back."

"I am torn in writing this review because I am a fan of this establishment. The disappointed started when we were seated up by the entrance on a very cold night where it was hard not to catch a chill every time the door opened. When being seated we asked if another table could be had with no help from the hostess. Then the fun really kicked in when we ended up with the waitress from Russia. You could tell she didn't want to be here and added nothing to our dinning experience except we were happy to get out of there without troubling her more than we had to.
But really why should we make a fuss over getting out to enjoy family at a restaurant we like, paying more than a fair price. Only to wonder why we would come back here again."
