"I cannot believe what a bad experience I had dining at this place. There was a not so funny 'comedy of errors' throughout my meal, starting with it taking 20 minutes or so just to get a drink. Then, the salad was different from what I requested. Despite my request to have it changed, the entree came out without the salad fix. I had to ask for bread, remind them about another drink order, etc, etc. this despite a trainee and a manager helping out. This isn't rocket science, folks! The Baltimore Harbor M&S is an embarrassment to the brand."

"We arrived early to a very hectic, crowded reception area. We were promptly attended too and given that we were so early, offered the choice to use the lounge bar seating. We were seated right away, drink and food orders processed timely and considering the Day, the food and service were good."

"We had Mother's Day lunch there. To start, the food was excellent! However, the parking lot was overfull and they were stacking cars, so we had to leave our keys with attendant in case they had to move our car so another could get out. When it was our time to leave, we had to squeeze our way out around cars, just about didn't get out, and the attendant would not help us. I had requested a water view table, but the hostess tried to put us at an interior table next to the hot, crowded buffet line. I asked for a different table by the window, and luckily got it. We then waited 15 minutes for a server, who didn't know that all Moms got a free truffle, so I had to wait for him to check. The food was delicious though."

"Eating here provides a great view of the harbor and the boats/ships that come in and out. The only issue we had was that our waiter was extremely slow and often left us waiting for his return. Dinner was over two hours long when in most places it would not be. They did a nice special for Mother's Day by providing chocolate truffles to all of the ladies."

"This was my 1st time at the restaurant. We made reservations, but needless to say we arrived 45 min earlier than expected. However we still weren't seated until our reservation time. Very frustrating when you see tables available. When seated we had to ask for bread and water until our starters came out, but the other tables around us got those things as soon as they sat down. The food from the appetizer to the entrée was superb! My waitress offered dessert but never told me that for Mother's day I was to receive free truffles. She made me feel that she was only offering things with a price to increase her tip. So I missed out on the truffles, but all and all I will come back for the food. I'll just be sure to not have the same waitress."

"I came here on Mothers Day for the first time. Sad to say my experience was terrible. My family was stuck at a table that seemed to be misplaced. It was busy and servers were flying by the corner ever five seconds. Our service was less than stellar. We were ignored for quite a while, and when we finally did get our server to come over he seemed annoyed with us. I'm not sure if the service is always bad here, or if they were so busy that the service suffered. Also, the food was nothing to write home about. Had all the potential to be good but was first lacking heat, and second had too many over powering flavors. The lobster bisque was bad.

"If you are looking to spend a lot of time waiting for your food, then this is the place for you. While the food is very good, the service is horrible. The servers are friendly and check on you often, so I guess it isn't their fault it may take more than 30 - 45 minutes to get your order. We waited 30 minutes for our appetizer and another 30 minutes for our main course. We waited longer than it took us to eat. They used to be much better than this. Doubt that I'll be going back anytime soon. Too bad. This used to be a regular eat out spot for us."

"Went for Mother's day a and was seated pretty quickly despite the large crowd. Once seated however server took considerable time to engage with us. Noise level was a bit high but tolarable. Finally, about an hour after our initial arrival our order arrived. The meal was fine though one may have been sitting for a bit. Overall a nice place to go on a non holiday night."

"We went to Sunday Brunch for Mothers Day . We sat outside and the setting was really Nice ! Food was excellent , Service was very good although drink service was a little slow . It dis cost $43 per person for brunch and drinks were Cash Bar . It would be impossible to consume that amount of food unless you had an incredible appetite . No one at our table was able to eat more than one plate so I dont think it was a very good value . It would be nice if Bloody mary's and Mimosa's were included . I don't think I would return more than 1 X per yr due to the cost . I recommend a Lower price or Bloody's and Mimosa's included ."

"Landry's has ruined a wonderful restaurant. What was a well done affair now tastes like food sat too long in hot water tubs. Glasses were not all the same on the table. Food delivered was not what was ordered. Arrangements were thrown together and none of the fine old decorre was in place. More tables less room and a cafeteria like atmosphere has certainly ruined one of Baltimore's best restaurants.
We will never go back. We were regulars under the old management."

"My family had a very nice lunch on the patio for Mother's Day. It was a little windy at first, but died down as we went on.
Our waiter was friendly with a dry sense of humor. He made all attemps to accomodate our needs and wishes.
The setting was beautiful, overlooking the Inner Harbor. The meal was a bit slow coming out, but was worth the wait.
We left satisfied!"

"One of my favorite restaurants had a bad night. Everything was disappointing. My Mahi Mahi was overdone and my wife's ahi tuna was served without the traditional sticky rice - they ran out of sticky rice on a saturday night. To make matters worse, they also ran out of Bailey's, so my wife's after dinner Bailey's and coffee was a no go.
The waiter, who did everything possible to make this night work out, was beside himself. The kitchen and bar staff let him down big time. Do we trust taking out-of-town friends to McCormick & Schmicks? I'm not so sure anymore."

"We recently ate here for lunch. The view and ambience were wonderful. The decor was modern and sleek and the front desk staff very curteous. The service, however, was average. Our waitress looked annoyed when we asked for bread. We ordered the almond crusted brook trout which was very good, along with the tasty orzo and butternut squash side dish except both were drenched in butter. The coffee was very good, but not hot enough. I would give it another try."

"We eat at this restaurant once or twice a year. I love sitting near the windows for a view of the Harber and lighthouse. The food is a bit pricy so it's a nice excuse to leave the kids home and enjoy adult time; dress up a little and enjoy a romantic dinner."

"Came to M&S for my birthday since I love seafood and so does my wife. Service was fantastic - attentive but not overbearing. Starters were 50/50 - steamed shrimp were great, lump crab tower had no lump crab and was underseasoned. Caesar and chopped salads were very good, and large portions that could be shared. Entrees (crusted tilapia and king salmon) were top notch, and I enjoyed the fact that there was no starch with my entree. The only drawback with the meal was the timing of the courses - starters and salads came simultaneously (which was OK since we were hungry), but then the entrees came too soon - we sent them back and waited until we were hungry again."

"ordered the ahi tuna. presentation was great, the rest was amateur. raw rice grains mixed in with the cooked, really? you can't get the rice cooked evenly? pepper spice rub on raw tuna? spice rub fought with the wasabi and ginger. what a joke.
my wife ordered the caesar salad. romaine was drowned in dressing. real two star diner stuff.
we enjoyed the sour dough, must have been made elsewhere given the rest of he menu.

"It was a beautiful evening for outside dining with the scenic view of the harbor. Everything went downhill from there. The service was terrible. It was 30 minutes before our drinks came and another hour before our dinner came, and we had to flag down the waiter to ask if our order was coming. The bill was wrong, in that it showed the gift cards we put in, but not the $40.00 cash we left, which was plenty to cover the bill and the tip (which he didn't deserve). It said we still owed."

"Went here for Easter lunch. I loved my meal. It was delicious. The service was kind of slow but it's understandable as it was very crowded that day. The waitress was very nice and thanked us repeatedly for our patience. The only fault I have with the restaurant is the over-priced menu but I would still return."

"First Impressions are everything:
Hostess at first could not find our reservation and asked if I had the right date, had to show her my open table confirmation only then did she made the extra effort to relook at the reservations and found mine.
20 minutes for drinks to be delivered
No bread delivered even though we asked for it
45 minutes for appetizers
45 minutes later dinner was served
We were one table of approximately six in the dining room that all had to complain to our waiters for the slow service. At no time did the manager come out nor were we offered a drink or some type of compensation.
Food was fair at best but I am sure I am basing this on the overall bad experience"

"Took my wife out on Saturday 4/27/13. We had reservations for 7:30 p.m. Arrived @ 7:15 and checked in at host stand. Hostess told us " I will seat you in a minute ". 20-25 minutes later we were sat. The servers and bus folks enter the kitchen by cutting thru the waiting area & host stand. This was very annoying and it seamed like an accident waiting to happen. Too busy of an area for that set up. After we sat we were ready to order an appetizer. My wife asked about the crab dip, which the server said was new and did not know how to handle my wife's question. We tried it and it was good. We asked for bread after the server offered it and it never came. The dining room was very uncomfortable the entire evening. It was very cold."

"Although I have been to M&S before, this visit left quite a bit to be desired. The room was quite cold. We requested to reduce the air flow blasting for the vents, and the waiter acommodated, but after about 15 minutes, it was quite chilly once again.
The food was ok, but I would have to say, I do not have plans to return to M&S."

"After we were seated, we waited for 20+ minutes before anyone came to our table. Then an observant and friendly waitress noticed and a waiter was called over from another section to take care of us. I think he may have been purposely selected because he was fantastic and very attentive to us, as was the rest of the staff. All the food was great, including one of the best Maryland Crab soups we have had in a long time!"

"I've been to McCormick & Schmick's in Boston before and had a great experience so I didn't hesitate to arrange a business dinner here. I was very disappointed with this particular location. We had a very inexperienced waiter who was in training and had to be given the hook. Food was good but not great, certainly not worth the price. Down the street Sullivans was a little more expensive but 10X better."

"We had a great time at this restaurant. We actually called the manager on duty after we left to tell her how impressed we were with the gentlemen doing the valet parking. He noticed we came in with a taxi, when we were finished and leaving not only did he offer to call us a taxi, but he waited outside with us and walked us to the taxi holding the door for us. What excellent service. He made such a difference in our night!"

"Overall it was a disappointing night. While the food was of good quality and the waiter was friendly, the service was incredibly slow. I won't go into all of the little things but just know that we were there for almost 90 minutes before our first course was served. It came out hot and as I said it was good but that is too long to wait especially with kids. Also there were long stretches of time when there was not a single waiter or other staffer in site. I would recommend this place for a Restaurant Stakeout episode but not for a night out."

"It took about 10 minutes for a waiter to come to our table and almost 15 until we saw water. I heard the specials from the neighboring waiter as our waitress never offered to give them to us. The halibut I got was relatively dry. Appetizers and salads were fantastic and good sized portion. Not bad to get out of there spending $130 (tip incl. for 2) on apps, salads, entrees, and two drinks each.
Not a terrible experience, but this time around it wasn't worth the price of admission."

"I rated two stars overall because on that night there was a reception/party in the adjacient room and the music was load! My wife and I were seated directly on the windowed wall separating the rooms. The music was so load, it was if we were at a club. We also requested the blinds be lowered so we would not be distracted by the people dancing and the commotion in the room. The party lasted the entire two hours we were there. What surprised me the most, was at the end of our dinner the restaurant manager came to the table and asked if everything was fine with our evening. We talked about the load music and the manager even agreed with us in the music being disturbing to us and other guests. After that the manager just walked off."
