Rojo Mexican Grill serves new culinary creations and many traditional dishes, such as quesadillas, tacos and enchiladas, but with bold new flavors or in unique presentations. Ingredients, such as the tortillas, guacamole, and salsas, are made fresh from scratch each day. And Rojo uses special proprietary blends of Mexican spices to create the unique recipes.
The stylish restaurant seats more than 280 guests and was designed to evoke traditional Mexican décor, but with a modern influence. Warm woods and soft red upholstery are offset by accents of leather, stone and steel. The dining room offers traditional table service and a generous view of the kitchen where diners can watch food prepared throughout the process. Three centrally located tables are dedicated to preparing hand-rolled tortillas, fresh guacamole and salsa in full view each day.
"We went for an early mothers day dinner on Sunday evening. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. Jess was our server and she was so nice, fast, friendly and sweet to my 3 year daughter. Rojo really made my mothers day nice. And the sticky rice?!?! Let's just say If they had poked us with a pin, sticky rice would've come flying out!"

"We all loved our meals at brunch and will definately return and also recommend. Even the sticky rice was amazing. I'm excited for the new location at Southdale mall since it is closer to where I live."

"We had a group of five and had a great time. Food was excellent, noise level was very acceptable, and the booth we sat in had plenty of room for all of us. I would like to go back and try some more of the entrees since they all looked fantastic. Seemed like a great location for both a large group and just for two. There were plenty of intimate, small tables."

"The food is great! I love the rice - it is sweet and creamy not like rice at other meican restaurants that have red dry rice. The portions look small when they are served but it is more than enough - especially with the awesome chips and salsa. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to everyone. We do see children there. It is so loud people probably wouldn't notice if the kids were being loud."

"I've been to Rojo a number of times but never for lunch. Every time the food is good - just not great. I wanted to order my dish with flour tortillas instead of corn but I was told that they were made ahead of time... Well, I guess cooking ahead is a great idea, we all try to do it at home, but just didn't seem right at this resturant. Also, it's really hard to get hot/spicy. I think I will stick with El Loro in Crystal or El Toro in Robbinsdale. I can get spicy food made just the way I like it. So...overall it's good...just not great.I"
