"Service was outstanding and personal. The green beans are a must. My negative feedback would be more around the steaks having a bit more fat than I feel is acceptable. While the steaks had great flavor all the extra fat wasn’t appetizing. I didn’t bring it to the waitress’s attention but probably should have. Pretty sure they figured it out when they removed the extra plate of “bubble gum” from our table as it wasn't just mine. Not exactly what I’d expect from Cameron's Steakhouse. Hope to have a better food experience if I decide to go back."

"Came to Cameron's for our anniversary and it was very good overall. My wife had salmon which she rates very highly. I had the bone in ribeye and thought it would be a bit more tender, was surprised that it wasn't. It was cooked perfectly to order though and overall taste was good. We weren't in a rush and enjoyed the relaxed pace."

"Once again my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we'll as the food . As usually the service is fantastic from the valet parking to a hostess greeting you as they open the doors to welcome you in. We had reservations so there was no wait. Was seated immediately to excellent professional service. Our waiter made excellent suggestions which we took, and our meal was just as good as suggested."

"I must say that from the time I walk through the door, to the time I'm seated I'm greater by everyone. Very classy, not only is the service great but the wine list is great as well. The food was cooked to my liking, the salad was fresh, and the dinner setting was very good, I had a party of ten and everyone could hear each other. I would recommend this place and enjoy it they don't rush you out the door like most places."

"A long-stemmed red rose for each mother; a prix fixee menu ; crowded after 5:30; narrow walkways between tables. We ordered the 7- and 11-ounce filets on the prix fixee menu, one medium and one medium-rare. The doneness of each steak was reversed from what was ordered for the size. We did not complain but when the waiter asked if everything was all right we mentioned that we had traded steaks because of the doneness problem. He offered to do our complete meals all over again. We declined - too much trouble and time. They were very apologetic and ended up comping us one entire meal. The rest of the food was delicious, especially the potato and spinach sides, and both desserts were outstanding. A great special occasion place!"

"Took my mom for Mother's Day. Very impressive with one exception. The baked potato was cooked and re-heated; not very good but our waitress was gracious enough to remove it from my bill with no questions asked. I look forward to going back. The steaks were cooked to perfection."

"We went for a special occasion, and it was very nice. The steaks were cooked to order, the pace was relaxed, the drinks good. Dessert was particularly good. My only complaints were the weak decaf with dessert and the fact that the front did not tell the waiter that this was a birthday celebration."

"Food was fantastic. Had the bacon-wrapped filet and my wife had the filet Oscar as main course. The Rockefeller appetizer was just the right size for two people - not too much, not too little. I had the Bisque and it was perfect...
The wine selection is great, the drink list is really extensive, and the wine list is really impressive."

"Very enjoyable environment. Went on a Sunday evening so there were just a few diners because of the early closing hour, (9 PM).
The steaks and the lamb were especially tasty and I highly recommend them. The calamari served did not meet my expectations of those experienced in Italian restaurants.
All in all an excellent dining experience for our party of five.

"I went for my birthday and I was very disappointed. I had the filet and I thought it was tough. The corn was sweet and tough. The broccoli was bland and the creamed spinach was mediocre. The Chop House salad was great. All the veggies were crisp and fresh. The crab stuffed mushrooms contained too much cheese. I would go back to sit at the bar and have drinks. Great atmosphere. I liked the bread too."

"The service was very good, but the food was mediocre. I had a New York strip, and about 1/2 of it was chewy and grisly. Very poor quality--I should have sent it back but didn't as I didn't feel like making my group, which included my elderly mother, wait. My sister was brought a bowl of soup which was cold--the waiter noticed this when he placed it on the table as he didn't see any steam coming from the bowl, and asked my sister to taste the soup, and it was indeed cold. The waiter took the soup back and brought it back steaming, which was good, but who wants to spend top dollar at a restaurant and have soup microwaved?
In all, the service was excellent, but the food was mediocre at best. Not on a par with Fleming's or Ruth's Chris."

"This was the second time my fiancé and I had been to Cameron's. The first time we came I would say our experience on a scale of 1-10 was 10! We absolutely loved the place which is the reason we came back. This time our experience was a 7.5. We ordered the exact same thing we ordered the first time we came, but this time my steak was a little burnt. The steak still had very good flavor, but there was some parts of the steak that was bad. But overall we still had a great time and we will probably come back."

"Food was good. Filet was cooked perfectly. Lobster was a bit rubbery. Lobster Mac-n-cheese was good, but very rich. Sat at table for 10 minutes before we were waited on. A table seated after us was waited on by another server (within seconds of them being seated) and he stopped to check on us. He went to hunt down our waitress. Wine list was extensive. Pear juilip was amazing. Did not have dessert, but noticed a table near us had. If you like carrot cake it looked wonderful."

"There are better restaurants in Birmingham for the price. Perhaps because it was Valentines day but the servers kept trying to bus our table before we were finished with our plates. Neither entree was worth a return visit however the sides and dessert helped compensate. Would not return when there are so many other choices in the area."
