"Mitchell's is one of our seafood restaurant favorites. The food is excellent. However, on this occasion (Sat. before Mother's Day), the entrees were lukewarm when served. The waitress corrected this promptly. The restaurant is always busy on weekends and the noise levels can interfere with conversation. The background music was too loud. Nonetheless, a favorite seafood spot."

"2 star for 2 reasons. As a party of 7 (w/ rez), our wait staff was pretty shoddy; pleasant, but definitely NOT on top of refills, checking back, etc. Secondly, I ordered the Fruitti di Mare Pasta (a pasta dish w/ a seafood in white wine sauce). While there were 6 mussels in big shells making a big display on top of the pasta, there was virtually NO seafood otherwise. There were exactly 2 scallops, and 2 dime sized shrimp in the dish, and maybe a TBS of calamari. The wine sauce was so scarce, as to add no taste to the dish. So we paid $$$ for a dollars worth of pasta. I didn't complain, but I won't return. The table shared fried calamari appetizers and barbecued shrimp. They liked that."

"This was our 2nd time their and Mother's Day. They have added a 3-course special and 2 of the 4 of us had them and enjoyed shrimp & lobster with pasta as the entree. Personal size deserts were included; regular deserts would easily feed 4. Both fish and the scallops in the market trio were deliciious. The only negatives were too much garlic in the Caesar salad and a very long time between finishing soup or salad and receiving the entrees. As a nice touch they gave a rose and a coupon for future visit to the mothers."

"Mitchell's advertised on Open Table that they would do something special for Mother's Day but all I noticed was roses (which they didn't give to any of the mother's in my party - there were 4 of us) and a chef special (surf and turf) which was really more appropriate for Father's day than for mothers. Also, the dishes came with HUGE portions of the rice or potato. Way more than anyone should really eat and so large it seemed distracting."

"We were seated in teh Bar area, so it was not the atmosphere we wanted. byt the time we realized the surrounding noise was to much our food was on its way. It wasn't worht the fuss to move all our stuff into the dining room...BUT it was anoying we were placed in the bar area with out being asked. Service was alright. had to ask 3 times for bread but they kept the glasses full."

"Visited the restaurant on Mother's Day. Appeared to be short staffed as customers were waiting to be seated and there were several tables empty. We had reservations so we were seated immediately; however, a server didn't appear for several minutes. A manager finally came to get our drink orders. Once the food orders were taken it again took quite some time for the meal to arrive, with the food being served at the same time as other tables around us who had arrived quite some time after our arrival. The food was very good, though portions seemed small."

"I have not been here in some time. While the food was good, the service was fair. Having been in the industry for years in the past, I generally find my self easy on the staff. Our server, however, just didn't seem to be attentive. When he did stop by, he seemed to be just replying every thing as a routine without adjusting for variance, or talking to himself. I was going to order another glass of wine yet he never asked. Our water glasses were more often empty than full. He would occasionally stop by and ask a question, but either not wait for a response or seemed to not be listening. It truly made the whole experience awkward. Unfortunately, we will not be returning anytime soon."

A person, who did not identify himself, brought out he plate and placed it on the table, saying this seems to be yours with no other comments. "We chose Mitchell's for our anniversary dinner before going to a concert. We were glad we made reservations because it was packed, including a fair number of local prom-goers. After a brief snafu with wait staff not sure who was appointed our table, the rest of the experience was great. Great food (I had King crab legs, and wife had cedar plank salmon, great appetizers and salad too) and great service and good atmosphere. We will definitely be back."

"We set this dinner reservation same day for a Friday night. I did an add to the reservation a couple minutes after the initial one hoping we could recognize a special event for my In-laws. To our surprise, Mitchell’s had a separate room set aside for us. The staff was engaging and attentive. We had a wonderful time and the folks at Mitchell's were outstanding. Most in our group ordered lobster and no complaints were heard. Even the pickiest eater in the group, our nine year old, found a number of items to choose from. It was an excellent evening and I look forward to our return."

"The food at Mitchell's is always great! Everyone offers a "taste" to the table when they find just how good it is - hoping no one accepts. The restaurant was full the night we went, but somehow you get the feeling the patrons are just sitting and relaxing, and the staff manage to pay attention to you, without seeming to be bustling, or hovering. All in all a wonderful experience!"

"We "always" enjoy our meal @ Mitchells' Fish Market....lunch/dinner/just for drink & appetizers, never disappointed. Service is always wonderful!! Very accommodating and eager to please their customers. In the summer we enjoy sitting outside and watching the shoppers @ the Clay Terrace Mall. We also enjoy eating in the bar area when it is just a small group of us. My husband enjoys keeping up with the Sports Channel on their TV's in the bar area. When we celebrate with a larger group of us or we want more intimate dining the dining room is always very pleasant, fairly quiet, and again service is top notch trying to please us."

"We are never disappointed when we go to Mitchells. The food is always excellent. I usually always get the same thing but this time we tried their 3 course special - consisting of a salad or soup appetizer, a lobster style entree and then a choice of desserts. The Caesar salad was standard and I was a bit disappointed that there were no anchovies although I notice fewer and fewer restaurants including them. We both had the lobster and shrimp penne pasta in an alfredo sauce. It was quite good with good size pieces of lobster and a lot of shrimp- it was quite rich. The creme brule dessert and the sharkfin pie were both good."

"We had a reservation, which I would highly recommend especially on weekends, and were seated immediately. All 4 of us had something from the Northside Indy Nights special.
