"My waitress was absolutely fantastic. She was available when she needed to be and made sure that everything went smoothly. She even threw in a complimentary dessert for our special occasion! We were there for a proper amount of time; we weren't rushed out but we weren't waiting for our food forever either. The overall atmosphere and timeliness allowed us to fully enjoy our dining experience."

"We ran the Columbus Half Marathon and have made this our post run dinner choice. However, this year both of our steaks were cooked incorrectly. It is kind of disappointing when you spend that much money. But we had a good time otherwise. Will look for an alternative for next years post race dinner."

"Mitchell's was so prepared for my birthday celebration. Made the restaurant aware that my two younger daughters and I were celebrating my birthday. The kid menu was affordable and with good selections. The server was kind and attentive to our table. Even though Cameron Mitchell no longer owns Mitchell's, the level of service and quality of food haven't changed."

The Sea Bass was good but how can you ruin that unless overcooked.
Husband liked the steak, said mashed potatoes amount way too small for $8.00
And most importantly paid $10 for a glass of Malbec and it was BARELY three fingers high! That right there will be a reason not to go back!"

"While the food was good, I was a bit disappointed in my most recent visit. My 10-ounce filet wasn't as flavorful as in past visits or compared with other high-end steakhouses. The $4 gorganzola "crust" was a joke -- a few pieces of cheese sprinkled on top. There was no crust and it certainly wasn't worth $4.
The service was very attentive, but took a long time for entrees to arrive once we ordered. My cocktail was just so-so."

"Our party of 4 was seated right at our reservation time. Waiter was initially very attentive but after we requested a few more minutes to visit and look over the menu, he dissapeared and we finally had to flag him down to order. Two of us ordered the surf & truf with steaks cooked to differnt tempeatures. The plates were delived incorrectly and even after we determined what was the medium rare steak, I was way more to medium."

"Went for restaurant week as we haven't been in a number of years. If you are going to Mitchell's the downtown location is a must. The 2 story ceiling and vibe make this restaurant. Meat was to perfection and two people who usually take food home when having 1 course destroyed all 3 courses (although they were slightly downsized due to restaurant week). As someone who has been on the Hyde Park train for a couple years, we will definitely put Mitchell's back into the rotation. Best steak I have had in years."

"I would recommend the Mitchell's if you are not in a hurry and you don't mind you waitress ignoring you. I have been there several times and I'm not sure if they don't staff enough people or if they staff with the wrong people. What waitress serves your food and runs from the table without asking you if you need anything else. The food is always outstanding but this is the second time we have experienced this and I am not sure if we will go back."

"Service was great as always but our steaks were not cooked to the correct temperature and were very tough. At first , I thought my knife was just dull but I found my ribeye tough to chew as well. Our server was great and offered to get us new steaks but we were running late on time and said not to worry about it. The manager did give us a gift certificate to use on our next visit which we were very happy about. We will definitely go back its normaly very good, I think we just got steaks that were below their normal high standards."

"Cameron Mitchell should renegotiate his deal with Ruth Chris's before his reputation is affected. As a party of 8 at a bar with only 4 other patrons, one would not expect to have to constantly page one of the 2 Bartenders. Especially considering the dining room was empty. That was the sign we shouldn't have ignored. They were out of the first wine we ordered- our replacement didn't match the wine list vintage. Ok, I get that it can be hard to keep it all up to date. Two entrees were not what we ordered. (That's 25%!) The mac & cheese side was bland and unappetizing. The sweet potato side was 0.25-in.thick sweet potato paste spread across a ramiken topped with 0.5-in. of brown sugar. They brought out chocolate cake- only we ordered carrot."

"We went for Restaurant Week because we were looking to try something new. Food was not on par with Ruth's Chris quality. Filet was so peppered that it was difficult to eat. Sides were ok but nothing great. Service was ok but not your typical fine dining service. On the up side, one member of our party ordered the salmon steak and reported it was wonderful."
