"This is a beautiful experience, with well designed dining room, area of quiet for thiose of usd who do not hear so well, and a larger open area, and everything looks out on the landscaped hill. The waiter tried to put on a bit of a big city arrogance but everyone else, everyone else, worked their tails off making sure that everything was superb. Each of the 4 courses was delicious. Would go back in a heartbeat!"

"There was a special fixed price ($69) Mother's Day menu with great options. We enjoyed the duck 1st course a lot. I had the halibut with bacon wrapped asparagus - delicious. My wife had the filet - also great. Service was excellent. The place was quiet even with children around. Tables were not right on top of each other. The wine suggested (dry Riesling) was great. Could not have asked for more. I will definetly be coming back. I think they are usually a dinner only place."

"This was our first visit to this Michelin rated restaurant in the southwest suburbs. Food was excellently prepared and service superb. There is a nice view into the outer courtyard which will even look better when the temperature warms up and flowers begin to grow. Wine list is overwhelming with over 14,000 bottles. The sommelier even gave us a private tour of the wine cellar. Expect to pay high prices for the food. This was our only regret as menu items are overpriced. The restaurant was quite empty the afternoon we went with only three patrons remaining when we left."

"We had the anniversary menu and although good was not really up to the standards that we normally expect. Things just didn't seem to always go well together on the plate. Maybe the chef was trying a bit too hard to offer something complex. Timing of service also seemed a bit off. The table next to us waited an extended period of time for their entrée and staff seemed frustrated at to why they could get the dish to come up in the kitchen. Saying all that it is still Courtrights and well deserving of its Michelin star."

Service was pretty poor - servers could not speak to menu items beyond what was written in the menu and actually read off the menu on our table when asked about specific items. There was no ownership of the menu by the staff or enthusiasm in describing or presenting. There are far too many other options for great food and service for better value. Decor was outdated and reminiscent of a Wisconsin supper club. We would not go back."

"Sometimes Restaurant Week ends up highlighting cheaper meals dues to the cheaper prices--Courtright's did not. The goat cheese/brioche salad was sublime. The combination of brussel sprouts, candied walnuts, vinaigrette, bread and warm cheese was reminiscent of eating Christmas--in a good way! The filet, smoky yukons, and fried greens were delish. And the gingerbread/pear trifle cake was one of the most delicious desserts ever. Paired with a nice Pinot, it was a meal to be long cherished. Thank you!"

"We went for restaurant week. Great food! I'm vegetarian & they still provided the sPecial menu option. Which I really appreciated given my partner is a meat eater. The food - beautiful presentation, great overall menu & in keeping with dining trends. Wine list is to die for - good sommelier service. Location is fairytale - wooded cottage & yet tastefully maintained. I would recommend & will return."

"While the food was very good, the service was so bad, it ruined the experience. The waiter ranged from indifferent to rude. Because of this, I can't imagine going back."

"As a 30 year old couple, Courtrights was not a good fit. It was geared towards an older crowd and also seems like a place that is more comfortable for "regulars." Which is interesting because the owner was having multiple conversations at the bar with patrons about personal matters, including the fact that business was down, her husband was at home on medication, she fired a bad employee after an altercation that she repeated word for word, and she even shared the cost of her home, it's current value, and how much she pays in realestate taxes. All very entertaining but really ruined the quiet meal that my husband and I were trying to have as she was speaking over us to the table beside us. Needless to say, we won't be back."

"It took 20 minutes for our waitress to acknowledge us. When we brought this to her attention, she stated, "The sommelier greeted you, and now I am here." This was probably due to the fact they seated us next to a large, incredibly loud party, which the waitress was also servicing. It was great food, but the experience could not have been worse. Dinner took about 3 hours."

"Courtrights remains one of our favorite places. The meal was excellent with some interesting surprises...foie gras with onion marmalade, excellent combination. We love the inventiveness of the kitchen and the depth of the wine cellar. Courtrights is a can't miss destination and not just for those of us living in the burbs!"
