"This is a great roof-top bar and resturant hidden away to most. The food was great, a little pricey, but a great outdoor experience for hotel resturant/bar. Next time we are in Chicago we'll make a stop at the Conrad, even if it is only for drinks."

"We came again specifically for the Bourbon Chicken & Waffles, but we swear that it was different. It was breast meat instead of thighs and it was missing the scrumptious bourbon glaze. Oh well. It was still good but we would have preferred it the way we had it the first time. We also got the Lobster Roll. I liked it a lot but my guest did not. They are doing construction on their bar area now so the bar (and tv) are moved into the main dining area."

"The meal was good, but for a breakfast (Easter Brunch) the a la carte menu not buffet (I did not want/or expect a buffet) was overpriced. The menu was not published in advance, so I had no idea when I made the reservation. My tab was $106.00 with tip for two for breakfast. I would not recommend this spot. A better priced or more bountiful brunch can be found for that tab.
I frequently dine out, enjoy a great meal and expect to pay for this, but in this case it was not a good value."

"When reserving for Easter Brunch at the Conrad, it was clear on the hotel website that there was an Easter Brunch buffet ($70 pp)...even a menu of what was on offer. (I typed in "Easter Brunch" into the search engine ) When we arrived at the restaurant , we were told that there was no Easter Brunch buffet ...when I said that it had been very clear on the website , I was told that "it must have been from 2012 buffet brunch and the website was not updated ". So I feel we were mislead by this advertising on the website. The eventual brunch which we ordered a la carte style was OK , but a big disappointment overall. How is it possible that a hotel like the Conrad would not have their website continuously updated?"

"This is the spot to go if you don't like crowds. I mean, it's so hidden that there's hardly anyone there. We had to find an employee to check us in and seat us. There were some minutes when we were the only people in the dining room. The decor of the space was elegant if not a bit old. The furniture was sturdy and high quality. Our server was attentive and appropriately friendly. The food and cocktail were exceptionally good. We enjoyed a Hibiscus Martini, Bourbon Chicken & Waffles, and a curry chicken Jibarito. Wowza! We loved all of that and highly recommend those things."

"We did not have avery good experience at the Conrad.
The service was very slow,the food was mediocre. I had to ask for straws 2 times and a coke came half an hr later with a straw in the ice glass which I had to use instead as my request for a straw was not fulfilled! The waitress did not deserve a tip but the manager seemed ready to please.
The birthday cake for my daughter came as 4 pieces of dessert that they charged me for.
I had requested for a small chocolate cake when I made the reservation a few days ago.
All in all, it was not a very enjoyable lunch and by the time the check came (that too took forever) we were so ready to leave!"
