"My boyfriend and I went this weekend. I had a living social voucher I purchased months ago and the experience was wonderful. I would highly recommend checking this place put. The oysters were amazing and so was the shrimp cocktail. My boyfriend enjoyed the clams. Try the mango skinny Martinis."

"If you like Kale, you have to try their kale salad with pears, pecorino chesse, slivered almonds and some raisins thrown in. I cannot go there and not have it. I've been enjoying their steak burgers as well. Service is friendly and was good tonight."

"I'm stuck on their Kale with pear salad and their steakburgers are very flavorful. Had both tonight. Our waitress tonight was very sweet and friendly."

"Our group (6 in total) was 45 minutes early for our 8:30 reservation on a Wednesday night. EATS was packed! However, the staff was gracious, the bartender (who we found out later is also an owner) bought us a round on the house, and a table was created for us with a minimal wait. (We sat down around 8:10.) At first we were put off by the crowd, but the lovely reception we received from the staff made us want to stay. Our waitress, Jennifer, really likes her job. She knew the food, was friendly, and had great timing. We ordered every dessert, the salmon burger rocked, the brussel sprouts were yummy, great moule & frites appetizer (enough to share with 6 people). The owner (Mike) is old school - he knows how to run a resturant."

"This restaurant has the worst service I've ever experienced in New York. There were only 3 waitpersons and we never had a specific server. we had to ask several times for our drinks, and never received knives for our meals. The poor service broke this meal even though the food is pretty good and they had a great jazz trio. If I ever return, it will only be for drinks and to hear the band."

"I think the best item on their menu is the Kale salad with pear, sliced almonds and pecorino cheese. I wouldn't eat there without ordering it. Tonight I had a delicious meal. I ordered their steakburger with the kale salad and it was soooo good. Can't wait to go back and get the same thing!"

"Easts was great! I had a perfect martini, Happy Hour oysters at $1 a pop, and a very good hamburger - all that they specialize in. Our waitress Hazel was excellent - informative and accommodating. The live jazz was a nice touch. We will definitely return to this lively place."

"Unfortunately, we had a table on the back on the side and it felt very crowded. Also, they hadn't bussed a few of the near by tables which didn't feel very tidy--or appetizing!"

"the service was extremely poor. we ordered drinks and they didn't arrive until after our meals were served. never saw our waiter. The food is nothing to write home about either. the burger is almost the size of a mini, the herbed potatos were whole potatoes cut in half and deep fried- no herbs or salt. maybe the chef and servers had an off day but will never return with so many better options in nyc for brunch."

"If you like kale, their kale with pear salad, cheese, almonds, and raisins is delicious! Then we both ordered the Arctic char with quinoa. Although the fish was tasty, the portion was too small for the price they charge and the quinoa was bland. The dessert we ordered was sugary and not recommended. There was supposed to be custard inside but it was mostly made of the pastry puff shell and a bit soggy. The service was slow."

"This was my second time at EATS. Tonight I had their steakburger, medium rare with kale salad instead of fries and no bun. I also ordered the Kale salad with pears and slivered almonds beforehand, but they forgot to add the shaved cheese slices so I had to ask a busboy to bring that to me. The burger was juicy but could have been bigger. It didn't look like an 8 oz burger to me. My friend had the parpadella noodles in veal ragu which was good. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy. Next time we'll try to find a quieter area of the restaurant to sit in. The waitress was busy and never seemed to hear us calling her when we needed something but the busboys turned out to be efficient so we got what we needed anyway."

"Came here for brunch expecting their bottomless drinks only to find out they didn't get their shipment of champagne - no sign whatsoever on the door or anywhere. When we asked them, they seemed disoriented. We decided to stay as half our group was hungry and we couldn't be bothered to look for another place during prime brunch hour. The prices were a bit steep given mediocre food. Overall was disappointed and would not be back"

"A simple Sunday brunch. We didn't get the prix-fixe, but ordered a la carte. The breakfast burrito was huge and tasty, hamburgers were excellent. The huevos rancheros were low on beans, and not the best ever, but good. Service was excellent. Tables are close together here, and if you are seated by the wall your chair will be right against the wall."

"We went to Eats following the St Pats parade, its location close to the 4/5/6 subway line was very convenient both from the end point of the parade and our return to Grand Central. We arrived quite a bit earlier than our reservation time, and the friendly staff accommodated our party immediately. The seating is right in the bar area so it was noisy, but it was a holiday and as groups went on their way the noise died down. The menu offered a variety of appetizers and meals, and the service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our experience at Eats and would definitely return."

"This place is great! Really had a great time there. Waitstaff attentive and listened to every need! Food was amazing! From the drinks to the main course...Chocolate martini lovers, UNITE! Succulent grilled shrimp in garlic, but not conventional by any means... They have this steak with fig sauce that is to DIE for! Was my first time, but won't be my last! We were too full to even consider dessert, but the menu was quite tempting! Nicely placed on a somewhat quiet, accessible part of town!"

"This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. I had their kale salad with pear, pecorino cheese, and some raisins in a light lemon dressing. It was delicious! I then tried their risotto made with barley and it was my first risotto ever. It was made well and tasted good but got a bit boring for me. My friend had their steak burger with all the trimmings and said it was delicious. I would definitely go back again."

"Went with a groupon for oysters and martinis for 2...the oysters were fresh and quite large. But since oysters are not my thing will not be returning. A bit expensive...$20 for a salmon burger?! No thanks. Nice ambiance. Mature clientele: 40+, seemed to be majority of the crowd. Happy hr only at the bar"

"Have had the groupon oyster/martini deal more than once and it is an absolute steal. The oysters are always fresh and the martinis are awesome. Always order some food from the menu as well and it is always very good. Wait staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly, unlike many places you will come across when you present a "deal" and get treated like a second-class citizen."

"The food here is mediocre at best. The tap water tasted weird; like bad bar water. The waiter was lackluster. When we asked about the items on the brunch menu, he replied "I've never worked brunch here before". I wouldn't recommend this place."
