"Service was good, but food was not. Do not bother with the steak - they cannot cook it correctly, and doesn't taste great. I requested my steak medium, it came well done, I sent it back, they brought me another one that was very rare, then I sent that one back, and then it came back medium rare. I settled for medium rare. The wings were very spicy, but edible. The scallops my lady ordered were burnt to a crisp. You can do better elsewhere. Don't bother."

"We were attending a musical a couple blocks away and this gem was recommended to us to check out. Walked in, gave our name and we were seen quickly. The table we were originally taken too, and seeing a both opened we asked if it was available. After the hostess checked she allowed to us move to the more romantic and cozy seats in a corner. Both meals were top notch and choosing between a special and a normal, the waitress without delay said the special - well worth it and WOW!
We had just over an hour to eat, drink a cocktail and make the musical and the staff has to be aware as things moved smoothly and we even had extra time after eating."

"I have been coming here for years. It is my go to for pre or post theatre dining. The hostess always inquires about your plans so that your experience is tailored to your needs. The specials are exceptional and the staff is on point. Thanks for another great evening"

"Really love this place. It's reasonably priced, has bar specials and great energy. Staff is very friendly and professional. This is a regular go to for anyone dining out in NYC not wanting to drop a lot of $ but still wants a great experience."

"The only positive experience was upon arrival. The hostess accommodated our table choice without a problem. However, 15 mins after being seated, we were told by our server she was going on break and introduced to someone else. Approx. 15 mins after that we were told she was going on break and introduced to a third server which resulted in virtually no service at all. The shepherds pie was dry/tasteless and the fries served to my husband were burned and not "complete pieces" which left us questioning their origins. They were taken back without a problem but second batch not much better. We were overcharged on the bill then told it was "St Pat's Day prices". When we pointed out the menu price, they honored it. Terrible experience."

"Pub food - nice atmosphere - food is average - good for friends to gather for an inexpensive meal - I had their burger which was fine, but the accompanying fries were undercooked and a bit raw. Have had their Shepards pie in past which is always hearty and tasty.
Simple food at reasonable prices."

"Our food was excellent but it was disappointing to have a server in an IRISH pub who's spanish accent was so thick and our bus boy's was Irish ... should have been reversed. Also noise from bar was VERY distracting and at times more than boisterous."

"I'm always happy to go back to Langan's. the food is good, dependable, and nicely presented. While the bar area is too noisy for me, the dining is much quieter. Though its proximity to the theater district means dinner is always crowded, the noise level is much more manageable than the bar, even though they're next to each other."

"This was my 3rd time at Langan's. Love this restaurant. Food was terrific as was the service. However, when we ordered the house Pinot Grigio we were told they were out of it and could order Santa Margherita at $15 a glass (HOUSE WAS ONLY $7.50). Or we could order a bottle of wine - they were having a special - $60 bottle for $30. I felt that since they were out of the House P.G. they could have offered us whatever they had on hand at the cheaper price."
