"Usually the best part of a meal at a steakhouse is the steak. Our steaks, one a 24 oz bone in ribeye, done au poivre, and medium rare, the other a 14 oz tenderloin, with gorgonzola crust, also medium rare, were done perfectly. They were generous cuts, dry aged. As great as the steaks were, the side dishes made the meal unforgetable. The mac and cheese with truffles is sinful. The perfect comfort food. But the real star of the meal was suggested by our waiter, the creamed corn. If it sounds ordinary, it wasn't. It was as close to addictive as any food I have had, save chocolate. I will not visit Las Vegas again without a trip here! The overall experience was memorable and this establishment will definitely be revisited."

"Prior to our last holiday in Las Vegas (2012) we were fortunate enough to learn about Smith and Wollensky via google. My family party of 6 adults enjoyed a truly memorable birthday dinner with great food, wine and service. On our return to Vegas this year dinner at Smith and Wolllensky was the first request from all 6 when planning the holiday and having just enjoyed another great evening there my family are already talking about next years trip and our favourite dinner spot.
Whenever we talk with people who are planning a trip to Vegas we include dinner at S & W in the to do list alongside the Grand Canyon, something every visitor should do."

More than disappointing.
4 persons, 4 steaks - but S&W was not able to give us the steak the way we like it.

"While in town for a trade show had dinner at S/W my steak was fine but my buddy's steak same cut and temperature as mine came out well done instead of medium rare. Next time I go to S/W it will be in NYC."

"Besides steaks, salmon & mac & cheese side were excellent. Boring salads. Little embarassment when listed feature pinot noir was not in stock. Took too many minutes after ordering for this to be discovered by wait staff. Seems to be a favorite spot for large business gatherings based on number of large boisterous groups that came in. Fortunately, our table this time was in main dining room away from groups. Nice complimentary birthday desert and birthday card topped off nice dinner. Really nice recognition of birthday celebration. Very attentive waiters, but not overly so."

"Loved the ambience of the restaurant and the service was great. I ordered the 14oz sirloin which was terrific and my daughter had the three mini steaks which she loved and we both had the most fantastic macaroni and cheese. "We made reservations for our first anniversary at the chefs table. It should have been a great dinner but I never got to eat. After sending my steak back twice (once because it was so over cooked you had to saw through it with your knife and the second time it was so rubbery it was hard to chew) I finally decided to eat only side. The fact that a steak house does not know how to cook a medium well steak without sawing it in half and destroying it is baffling to me. My server actually told me its not possible to cook a medium well filet without cutting it in half. Interesting since no other steak house in Vegas does that"

"Every year we visit Las Vegas with a group of friends. This year there were 10 of us and dining is all about sharing, laughing, cocktails and food. We like to take our time and enjoy the company. "Smith & Wollensky's was recommended to us by a friend and it did not disappoint. WOW...great filet minion and the dessert was incredible. It was the largest chocolate cake I have ever eaten. Even though the food was delicious, the service was even better!! Our waiter took time to find out where we were from and made recommendations for things to see in Vegas."

"I had the regular rib eye and my wife had the Gorgonzola crusted fillet mignon. She said her meat was very good and very tasty. The ribeye was okay, but nothing to rave about. It was a nice portion although I'm not sure it was actually anywhere near 24 ounces, and regrettably there wasn't a lot of flavor to it. So that was a little disappointing since the TV shows featuring Smith and Wilensky showed ribeye steaks About 2 inches thick and this one was about a half an inch.
The Caesar salad was very good and the pea soup was excellent. The service was outstanding. All in all it was a nice meal by very attentive servers."

"Thank you for a great experience at Smith and Wollensky's!! There were five of us men together for a reunion from University days. It was decided that a steak dinner was in order. Conveniently, Smith and Wollensky's was recommended to us by tourist who frequented Las Vegas and the restaurant was conveniently located close to our hotel. Smith & Wollensky's courteously received a last minute reservation (within two hours) and were warm and welcoming upon our arrival. Enter Jason, our server. Jason made our night! The food (steaks and accompaniments) were delicious, the wine was great, but the service was excellent. Jason knew the menu like the back of his hand and his jovial attitude made the experience a memorable one. Thanks!"

"Our night out for a nice dinner on the strip, we were recommended to smith and wollensky. Food was very very good and our server was great. Greg was professional, very knowledgeable, and very friendly. He mentioned that he had been in this industry for a very long time, and it was evident. He knew when to approach the table, was there to provide great service but not "over the top". We will recommend to others who come to the strip, as there is more competition for steak houses on the strip, you will not be disappointed in S&W."

"It is nice to be in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip but have access to a traditional, high quality steakhouse. During the week, many convention groups are served here but it is very nice and quiet, while still busy, on the weekends. The pricing is comparable to higher end establishments and I have never had a poor meal. Top notch traditional steak fare that keeps pace with all the trendy spots on The Strip."

"We had the coffee and coco rubbed filet, it was excellent! This restaurant is right on the Vegas strip and is convenient to most all of the hotels. Both the service and the wine list was outstanding. Like most things in Vegas, it's a bit pricey but I would highly recommend this restaurant as you really get what you pay for."
