"OUR FAMILY (A PARTY OF 5) CELEBRATED MOTHERS' DAY ON SATURDAY NIGHT (ONLY TIME WE COULD ALL GET TOGETHER). THE FOOD WAS THE BEST THIS SIDE OF THE HUDSON RIVER, BUT AT TIMES WE HAD TO SHOUT TO BE HEARD ABOVE THE DIN. SOMETIMES, EVEN OUR SHOUTING COULDN'T BE HEARD AROUND OUR TABLE FOR 5. IT WAS THAT LOUD. OUR WAITRESS WAS TERRIFIC. EXCELLENT SERVICE AND A GREAT PERSONALITY AND ATTITUDE. I WOULD RETURN JUST FOR THE FOOD AND SUFFER THROUGH THE NOISE. NOTE THIS IS A BYO."

"We are an older couple who prize the quiet dining experience along with imaginative cooking. Acasia fills both bills wonderfully well. It is the perfect place to take family and out-of-town visitors where you can enjoy an excellent, eclectic meal, elegantly served, in an atmosphere where one can actually TALK to one another."

"Great food! BYOB is an added bonus. We had the lamb and boar - both were flawless and our plates were almost licked clean. The chocolate mousse cap dessert was so good that I wish I just ate three of those for dinner! It was a quiet Friday night venue on Main St in Lawrenceville. I'd imagine that as the weather warms up, more people will show to eat on the outdoor patio. Prices are about $30/35 for an entree so its pricey, but you make it back with the BYOB. Nice date night spot."

"The restaurant was great. My one complaint is that it is BYOB and that is not noted anywhere on their site. This meant we didn't have any wine with our dinner which was a major disappointment."

"Very good salads, particularly the fried Calamari which was perfectly coated, spiced, and sauced. Of three entrees we liked the filet mignon(nice flavorful aged meat) and rack of lamb. One was ordered medium rare and the other rare. Both arrived underdone. The bass fish special was soggy, under-cooked, and flavorless. Vegetables(a broccoli rabe and a squash medley) were fresh but lacked imagination-- no herbal accents or good skillet technique. Very noisy when crowded. The unfortunate fact is that there are few really good restaurants in the Princeton area. Acacia is among the better ones."

"Each menu choice, i.e.,appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert was fabulous. The food was excellent and prepared to perfection. Kurobuta Pork and Wild Boar Shank were juicy; the Cappucino Creme Brulee was the best ever. Wonderful Valentine's Day date."

"We have gone to Acacia on many occasions in the past. We even got married 32 years ago in the church across the street. The service, food, and ambiance always made for a wonderful meal. I ordered the crab cakes on this last visit and was really disappointed. The presentation was lovely with 2 crab cakes, 3 slices of grilled zucchini and 4 spears of asparagus. The crab cakes were golden brown, 3" dia., nicely textured with lots of crab meat, and nicely shaped, but tasteless. I reluctantly told our server that all the chef needed was a little Old Bay Seasoning to make this a terrific crab cake. My husband ordered the fillet Mignon which was to die from...so delicious. We'll probably go back and try again...this restaurant's worth it!"

"Acacia has always been a special restaurant with an inventive menu that is not too "far out". It hits the sweet spot of appealing to both foodies and those with tamer palates. The menu is nicely balanced with fish, meat and I think I recall a vegetarian option too. My latest dining experience was enjoyable for all of my guests. The Scottish salmon itself was very good - high quality and cooked properly. I would have preferred it sans topping. I had a wonderful creme brulee. I will keep coming back."

"Alll in all, we had a lovely evening out and enjoyed Acacia. Good service and pleasant atmosphere. The food just did not hid the mark. Both our appetizer and main dish were not even warm when they were served. They should have been piping hot! The bread that was ordinary and uninteresting. Too bad for a restaurant with lots of potential."

"Had a big party which added to the high noise level. Staff did excellent job even with the party. Every time the door open resturant became cold. Heater over would have helped. Traveled 60 miles and it was worth the trip, will do it again. Food was excellent and served in a timely manor. Need to advertise a little better as a BYOB."

"We chose Acacia to celebrate our birthday (yes my wife and I have the same birthday)and we had a very enjoyable experience. The table was roomy yet private, the food was quite good and the service was excellent."
