"They aren't usually open for lunch and it definitely showed on Mother's Day. Although the food was great (and always is, no complaints there), the server and serving system was poor. Nobody was helping each other out so as a result, a drink that was ordered took 20 minutes to deliver - and we ultimately sent it back because we were ready to leave, and a salad was forgotten. When we asked the server to take the drink off the menu and that a salad was forgotten, his response was "the salad is a part of the whole meal, so we can't remover that"...REALLY? That wasn't the point. We were addressing the lack of service, we weren't trying to get a free meal. Not sure we'll be going back."

"We requested a window or wall table. We were greeted and told we would be seated in the "private room". We were placed at a table in the open room while there were tables available to meet our request. (Our first time, so we said nothing.) Food was hot, but tasteless. The pecan-encrusted catfish had no pecans and fish was not catfish. Our empty dishes remained an unduly long time on the table. The waiter did not explain anything of consequence before our order and appeared once after the order was placed. That was at the end of the meal. The conversations at other tables strongly suggested that this restaurant has long-time customers who receive better service. They probably don't need any new customers."

"Remington's is a long standing dependable restaurant with great service and reliably fresh and well prepared food. I would say it is a no frills good value dine. I had a heap of succulent crab legs. Spouse had oysters then grilled red fish. The tiny sundae dessert is a perfect way to complete the meal. It is just enough and is better than sharing one slice of pie or “two spoons please”. I would like to see more flavors of this type of tiny desserts, perhaps key lime or chocolate cream. But, I do digress

"Very service focused, I and my wife had gone for our Wedding Anniversary, and had mentioned that in our reservation. Not only our server, but other's who were not serving us wished us a Happy Anniversary. It was a completely unexpected surprise, and really demonstrates the lengths the management will go to, to focus on simple things that really can tip the scale. Food was very good, and the special commitment to the customer, really makes this establishment a high contender for future visits."

"We have always been impressed with the food and service - top notch. The best thing about Remington's is it is always consistent every time we've been there. Great food and incredible service! Good ambiance too. I guess the only thing that would make it a bit better would be for some music playing in the background. Dinner music, like Sinatra, Bouble, Harry Connick Jr., Nat King Cole, ect. "Before going to this restaurant, I looked at the reviews on Yelp. The reviews ranged from 1 to 5 which is very bizarre. The only reason I took a chance was because it was V-Day weekend and I failed to make timely reservations elsewhere. I ordered the Red Fish and I really don't think it was Red Fish because the texture was so soft it was mushy. My date's entree was OK but, she didn't eat much of it. I will never go there again.
The waiter was a great person. I left a good tip because he is not the cook."

"We have been to Remington's several times and the food and service have been amazing. Sadly, the service was not good at all last Sunday. We even had to call the manager over to see if you'll were short handed. I really don't think it was the waiters fault...the restaurant was very full and there wasn't enough waiters to cover the crowd. I also mentioned on my reservations that it was my boyfriend's birthday but nothing was even mentioned until we walked out the door. The food is always so good...but it should have taken 2 hours to have a meal."

"First time in many years and while the food was good; I do not think that we will be rushing back to Remington's. Their tables are too close to each other. We noticed that most of their customers were probably 50++ years old. Considering their location, they should look into renovating the interior and consider eliminating the booths to give it more space between tables. Also, white paper table covers at Saturday nights, is not what your competition is doing.
As for the food, it was good, but some of our elements were very bland which made us wonder if they were out of a bag vs. prepared from scratch. If Remington's wants to be around for years to come, it needs to step up and make sure that all of your neon sign is fully working."

"I haven't been to Remington's in many years and after dining, wondered why it had been so long! Service was very personable and attentive. My husband had the Mariner's Patter and it was plentiful, fresh and delicious. I had Horseradish Crusted Redfish. The fish was delicious but the horseradish was overpowering. Veggies were very good. Clam chowder was flavorful but was mostly broth with few clams. We will return soon!"
