"Restaurant seating was very crowded. Having to squeeze by tables to exit was uncomfortable for us but also the customers still having dinner. It was extremely loud but it was Mother's Day weekend. We were told by friends it would compare to Ruth Chris but found that not to be the case. Dinner specials were never offered and other than the bread the side items were disappointing."

"This was a dinner celebrating a graduation and wanted to go to someplace that fiited the occassion. Unfortunately with a final bill of just under $700 for (5) people, it fell short of our expections. The waiter did not understand the wine list so he promised to have the sommelier stop by to assist ( never happened). When our appetizers came, they forgot one of our guest and I had to remind the waiter we had one more coming. The meals were good but not exceptional. I had ordered the dry aged steak and it was on par with what you could pruchase from your local supermaket and prepare at home ( very disappointing). If you're ready to roll the dice for an expensive night out this is the place to go. Otherwise consider someplace else."

"Smith and Wollensky is a very upscale steakhouse with excellent food although quite pricey. For $17 I would have expected six large shrimp in the shrimp cocktail(one gets only three). Prices at the bar(lounge)and for the steaks are probably the highest in the greater Columbus, OH area. Expect to have a large bill. The ambience, service and food was excellent, however. The only area where they have booths is in the lounge. It might be nice to provide booths in the main dining area."

"We found the service to be beyond outstanding!!!! The food is excellent as well -especially for steak lovers. I have never tried the seafood and there is a limited selection. Definitely an outstanding experience for a superb steak and steakhouse sides. Atmosphere very relaxing and even though restaurant was crowded we felt like we had our own little corner. Wine list was voluminous and we enjoyed our favorite pinot noir."

"The food was excellent as always. This time, we requested to have one of 2 waiters we are familiar with and really enjoy. Because both were working in areas we didn't want to sit, he still accomodated us by having both Craig and Nate work our area as they had time. We really appreciated the extra effort by the manager and Nate and Craig.

"The food was very good. The server was nice,that being said the wait time after we were sat to place our order was very long. Once the order was placed it took almost an hour for our food to come out. The server apologized and gave a free desert.This seemed to be a common theme because the table next to us took their entire order to go due to the long wait. For the prices of the meals, I would not return for this kind of service."

Best filet mignon I've ever had. Wife's tuna was amazing.
Fantastic wine list and a friendly sommelier to help select the right bottle.
They treated our nine year old like a queen, and she loved the gourmet mac and cheese.
They even charged our cell phones in the managers office!!! Now that is service.

"We were at S&W for Wine Week. The wines poured were decent and I found 2 that were great! In addition, as always the management is wonderful! I ordered the Prix Fixe menu for lunch (Twin Medallions - Medium rare), they came out Medium Well to Well done. I mentioned it to the waitress and was brought correctly cooked medallions within 5 minutes! This place really focuses on customer satisfaction and they deliver EVERYTIME!"

"I had an overall good experience. The food was really great. Unfortunetly, our server wasnt very personable. At least, not to the level I was quite expecting. I never did get his name. We were sat at a table that I would consider a high traffic area and due to this it was a bit noisey and made it hard to hear what my company was saying at times. I do believe that if we had a better table things would have been a bit more pleasant. But again, overall, I will make a return visit."

"Best steak and service I have ever received. The icing on the cake was the personal touch added to the evening. I made a note on the reservation it was my boyfriends birthday and we would like a quiet table. Upon arriving, they not only sat us next to the fireplace, but a quiet table and even more, there was a happy birthday card waiting at the table and we were notified that they would be serving us a complimentary desert. We will most definitely be back and I will be telling all my friends and family this is the place to go! When you pay these prices you not only want the quality of the food, but I hope the service reflects the pricing as well and it does! Very pleased with everything about our evening."

I had made reservations about two weeks earlier. This dinner was for my daughter's birthday. Not exactly the experience we were hoping for."

"This was our first visit to Smith and Wollensky. We were very much impressed. Our service was outstanding. The bottle of wine we ordered was out of stock so we were given a better bottle of wine for the lower price. All four of us were pleased with our meals. While my steak was a little more done than the medium I ordered, the flavor was still amazing. Two of us ordered the medallions, one bone in ribeye and one filet. We had asparagus and lobster mac and cheese. Appetizers ordered were the BLT salad and crab cake. Chocolate cake was dessert. We loved it and will be back!"

"We asked for a quiet spot and they were happy to oblige. The waiter was excellent with a great sense of humor and of course the steaks were top notch. Don't miss out on the onion rings."

"Every single time I go here, the service is horrible! The male servers are all rude or unfriendly at best. I love fine dining, and this restaurant is way overpriced for what you get. If I am spending $250 on a dinner for 2, I want the service to reflect that. Will definitely NOT be back."

"It doesn't get much better than the 48 hour Cajun marinated Ribeye. All around good food. Wollensky salad is a perfect, simple but flavorful, and the shellfish bouquet is fresh as can be with some incredible sauces."

"Our server- Nick- was very attentive (as was the service staff), but he 'read our minds' on certain cocktails to provide better options. We went there to celebrate a birthday and received a great dessert surprise and greeting card from the manager- nice touch.
The food was delicious- pretty much didn't need a knife to cut the perfectly cooked steak and the whipped potatoes were very smooth and yummy! Even the leftovers we took home were great the next day!"
