"The service was very good. The steaks were good but not great, especially for the price. The steak fries were bad. Simply no other way to put it. They were sliced too thick thus ending up burnt or nearly burnt on the outside, dry and over cooked. We've had woese but there is better to be found."

"Six of us enjoyed a later dinner after Jazz Fest and all agreed that we had some of the best steaks ever. The filet was so tender you could almost cut it with your for. The side dishes were delicious and the key lime pie would make Key West restaurants jealous.

"We both had the Delmonico steak and it was perfect. Great example of properly cooked prime meat. The crab meat cocktail was plentiful with both cocktail and remoulade sauces. We mixed with the chopped salad for a great. Split a loaded baked potato and asparagus. Good bottle of Merlot for 50. Excellent meal and we will be back!"

"This is up there alongside some of the better steakhouses we have been to.
Our steaks were perfectly cooked, the onion rings were a treat.
The room was loud at first as it was busy, but settled down to a conversational level, more attention to acoustics please, some noise absorbing fabric could help. The service was excellent with the same waitress attending us all night. She was so sweet and attentive. Definitely a return spot on our excursions to Nola"

"I thought I wouldn't have one complaint; however, I do. Everything was fantastic, waiter could not have been more perfect. He did not rush us, as other restaurants have. "The service and atmosphere was excellent. There were four of us that went. Three people ordered steak (2 New York strips and one filet). No one was impressed with ther steaks. The were cooked to order, but they had no flavor. Normally I like a simple steak, and to let the flavor of the meat speak for itself. These steaks said 'I am boring and taste like nothing'. For the price of these steaks I would definitely reccomend that people go elsewhere.
I also had the red fish almandine. It was very good. The loaded potatoes and the creamed spinach were also very good. The wait staff were attentive and recommended some good wines that were surprisingly reasonably priced.

"We thought everything was great except the average service. Our waitress seemed very unengaged in her job. My steak was fantastic. My wife's was over cooked but still edible. We had the colossal lump crab and the bisque ( both were great ). Wine by the glass was a pleasant surprise , I really love having the option for a high end wine ( silver oak) by the glass. Overall we liked this restaurant, the prices were reasonable but the service was average."

"Service was poor. Took 30 minutes to be a water served. The first 3 bottles of wine we ordered were not available. How do you serve a bad steak-mine was tasteless--and the sides were awful. Noise was so loud you could not hear anyone at our table. So my review is that I would like a refund."

"This was my second visit in as many months; the first was on a slow night and our steaks were overcooked, while the second was with a full house and they were cooked perfectly. I had the 8oz filet on both visits and they were very good, however, lacked the exceptional flavor that I expect from prime, and for the price. The Caesar salad was nondescript, while the Carpaccio was superb. The creamed spinach was tasty but had the consistency of soup. The lyonnaise potatoes were disappointing – more like a cubed baked potato drizzled with butter and charred under the broiler. The frozen and thawed New York cheesecake was pasty and bland. We enjoyed our evening and the ambiance; however, it was the exceptional service that will bring me back."

"Our entire dining experience from beginning to end was flawless. The restaurant had a bustle about it, and who doesn't love that. So the scene was set from moment one. We ordered several wines by the glass and were pleased to see such a large selection. My husband drinks red and I drink white, usually we're stuck with generic selections but not here! A perfectly prepared steak for the mister, I enjoyed stone crabs and we shared a salad and sides. I wish I could say I said no to dessert, but the chocolate cake was enormous. Had to. We'll 100% return and would recommend."

"Prices are a little on the high side; but the food was delicious. The steak was excellent and cooked to the appropriate temperature. Our waitress was "in training," but her service was excellent. We were surprised as to how few people were there on a Friday night. However, the cost and the fact that there was a St. Patrick's parade in the Quarter that evening may have been factors."

"I arrived an hour before my 9:00 dinner reservation, so I elected to dine at the bar and recieved the same exellent service and full menu selection as table patrons. Mike at the bar was very professional and attentive. It is not a very large bar but fortunately there were little to no traffic waiting at the bar area for their tables. If so, it might have been an unpleasant choice to dine there."

"The Chophouse has become one of our favorite NewOrleans resturants. The food is exceptional and the service is awesome. On a recent visit, my husband and I had the Stone Crabs which were cooked perfectly. Our son had the Cajun ribeye was also excellent. In addition to having a great wine list, the bar has a great selection of scotch and bourbon, including 23 yr old Pappy Van Winkle!"

"We went here for a birthday dinner. The restaurant itself is beautiful and I believe it has an outdoor eating area, like a courtyard, but I may be wrong. It was too cold and windy for anyone to be out there. We both had the filet and they were excellent. The house salad has blue cheese on it (cannot stand that stuff) so I asked them to redo mine sans the cheese. We had a huge slice of cheesecake for dessert and it came with fresh strawberries to pour on top, not some goopy sauce. Very delicious."
