Mimma's menu is a celebration of food from all regions of Italy; from Sicily to Tuscany, taking diners on a romantic journey through some of it's most flavorful culinary traditions.
"Really enjoyed our meal at Mimmas Cafe. We were seated at a table in the window which made for great people watching on a busy Saturday night. The food was excellent and was served hot and fresh. Our server had a good understanding of the specials and answered our questions easily. We will definitely dine here again!"

"A great, classic restaurant that helps to make Milwaukee special. As some of the people in our party had never been to Mimmas, the waiter was very patient in answering questions regarding entree choices and wine selections. We were never rushed and had a wonderful dinner.
The owner stopped at our table and others throughout the evening and made eveeryone feel like family. We need to continue to support restaurants like Mimmas Cafe."

"The restaurant uses questionable tactics to stick it to customers with the final bill. The restaurant has a six page menu and that is conveniently missing the last page. The last page of course is where the most expensive entree's would be located. Mimmas waiter reads off 4 to 5 special items and leaves out prices. I made the mistake of not asking the cost since it was date night and did not want to make the other person worry about what they ordered. Once the final bill arrived I was shocked to see the "Specials" priced ($45) at twice the price of the most expensive menu item ($21.95). In addition, during the happy hour with advertised martini specials at $5 and half priced mixed drinks our martinis cost $12.95 and $13.95."

"I had heard many positive things about this restaurant in the past. This had prompted my fiancee and I to try it out on Valentine's Day for dinner. The food was very good, however their selection did not include any "Americanized" Italian meals. For instance, nothing simple like lasagna, spaghetti, chicken fettuccine, etc. Our waiter appeared quite rushed, even though there were very few tables taken. They had about 7-8 Valentine's Day specials. None of which were printed on any sort of list. Therefore, leading to our waiter telling us the ins and outs of every Special at our table. The specials took him roughly 2 minutes to tell us and we were so frustrated with trying to remember them, that we dismissed them immediately."

"“Avoid this restaurant - it's outlived its culinary life”
We were hoping for a great Italian meal. When we arrived, we waited in lobby area and were told by the bartender and four servers that the hostess (it's actually Mimma...a very nice lady, btw) would come to seat us. A few minutes later, she approached and offered us two tables. One was in the middle of the main flow between hostess stand and dining room. The other was adjacent to the kitchen door. My mistake...I chose that one and sat with my back to the kitchen door. In addition to the ever-swinging door, it was clear the back entry would be open from time to time as the cold air rushed into the restaurant (and onto my back). Incidentally, there was a very nice table for two in t"

"This is a hidden gem just a short way from downtown. Tucked in the real Italian area of Milwaukee it is a family run business. The food is always excellent and at a very reasonable price. The Linguini del Golfo is my favorite! Each January when I drive over 300 miles to attend a meeting in Milwaukee, Mimma's is the place where I take people for our first dinner!"

"Food was boring and reminiscent of a chain resturant; far too much sauce and scalding hot (indicating a microwave used in the kitchen). The decor was that of a bad 80's movie and the waitstaff was loud and intrusive. The chef was at the bar chatting with his friends while his staff microwaved our frozen pasta; very disapointing."
