"Food was good, service was just ok. We ordered the basket of muffins with our drinks and the waiter asked if we were ready to order our entrees. Our entrees came right away (almost too fast) and we didn't receive our basket of muffins. The waiter did not check on us or notice that we didn't have the muffins we asked for. The manager randomly came over to see how the meal was and he brought the muffins. Overall, I left with a feeling of being super rushed and not able to sit and enjoy brunch with my mom on Mother's Day. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all and I couldn't help but feeling like cattle being herded in and out. This does not go with the nice things I have heard about this place. Not sure if I will be back."

"We came here on Sunday for Mother's Day Brunch and we were not disappointed! The place is very big and pretty, great for groups and new mommy's with strollers (like me!). It has a cozy feeling, but also feels bright and airy, if that makes any sense, lol. The food was yummy, and the servers attentive. The ONLY thing I would say that I found disappointing was that I ordered their signature lemon-ricotta pancakes and they came out cold, stiff and were over lemony, so I do not recommended this dish. I do however, highly recommend their crab cake sandwich, it was delish!"

"Overall, I would consider my experience at Sarabeth's rather disappointing. The restaurant was beautiful, and the food was pretty good, but customer service was severely lacking. My friends and I waited for our food for thirty minutes before I asked how much longer the wait was going to be, then got a very snippy response from the waitress. After we had finished eating and our plates had been taken, we were made to wait another twenty minutes for the check. Indeed, the wait was so long that I was forced to get up to find a manager in order to get the check so that we could leave the restaurant. The service was so poor that I would be very hesitant to return to Sarabeth's, even though the ambiance and food were, overall, good."

"Gone are the little baskets of baked goods and sarabeth jams served on the table. The place is filled with kids crying, screaming, running, yelling. Maybe this is their special restaurant but don't plan on coming here for a peaceful Saturday or Sunday breakfast or brunch. Tables are crammed cheek by jowl, food is served very haphazardly and the staff presses you to order within a moment of sitting and to leave within a moment of getting your food. No thank you. Never again."

"For the most part my experience was good. Unfortunately, not for one of my friends who ordered an omelette and it came, nice and hot, except the cheese in the middle was COLD and not melted. We gave it back to the waiter requesting that the cheese be melted, it took almost 30 minutes before anyone even came over to say "oh it will be right out". At this point, me and my other friend had already shared our breakfast with her and there was no longer a need for the omelette. No one came over to inquire why or apologize and than we were being rushed out, while half of the restaurant had emptied! I would give SaraBeths another try, but maybe at a different location!"

"This restaurant was a great place! We enjoyed mimosas and a terrific lunch. Food was very fresh and homemade. The service was good as well. Just the right amount of attention. It can be quite loud when it is crowded but once the crowd thinned a little is was perfect!"

"On a bustling TFF afternoon, the staff did their best to keep us happy. Not an easy feat with the competition of a street festival on their doorstep. Food was great, as always. Service was decent. Had to ask 3x for honey that should have accompanied my dish, but forgivable."

"Our party of 6 had trouble speaking given the din, but of greater concern was that my son--who is lactose-intolerant--asked the server for an omelet without butter, cheese or milk and discovered after a few bites that it contained of the above.
Our server was hard to find, but I called her over and quietly explained that they got it wrong. My son preferred not to make a big deal about it out of respect for the other members of our party. She took it away without offering a replacement. We were charged for the item as well. Soon after a manager-type appeared and proclaimed to the entire table that they were very sorry about the mistake...my son was embarrassed."

"I want to recommend this restaurant,I really do,but the truth is I've been there 2x in the past week and the poor service has overshadowed the quality of the food which is quite good actually. The first time, the waitress accidentally dumped a glass of red wine on my friend. This happens and had the waitress apologized, run over with seltzer and started cleaning things up, it would have been fine. However, she ran off and was never seen again and it took 15 minutes to get someone new to take our order. The second time, we just weren't served consistently (so much so that they discounted our bill).Again, the food was terrific but it took an hour to get it.I will likely go back because its convenient, but I can't send others there."

"For a late afternoon visit on a Saturday, the place was not busy. There are several nice choices on the Breakfast/Late Lunch menu, with Cream of Tomato soup as a stand-out selection in our opinion. Crabcake sandwich was very well received as well, and one of the children was very satisfies with thin-crust pizza. The sirloin burger did not rise to the level of exceptional, but it was still above average. Fantastic lemon cheesecake for dessert and our server had no problem satisfying a request for a macchiato (which is often a too foreign concept in an American restaurant). We sat in a corner booth with a view over Greenwich street which added to the pleasant ambiance. All in all, a great meal."

"We went there on Sunday for Brunch. We ordered an omelette based on the recommendation of a friend. The consistency of the egg was good but lacked flavor. The french toast was well made with good flavors. We informed the waitress that our eggs were cold and immediately returned with new order. Overall my wife and I were pleased with our experience."

"We dined at Sarabeth’s early on a Sunday morning. The place was quiet, pleasant music – felt like a Parisian café. We had freshly squeezed orange juice, two different omelets and lattes – everything was absolutely delicious; fresh, not too fatty, interesting ingredients. Certainly not your standard American breakfast. The service was attentive but not overbearing; the waiter left us in peace but was there immediately when we needed him. If we lived in NY this would definitely be one of our regular places to go."

"This branch of Sarabeth's is huge and airy yet it retains the lovely Sarabeth's ambiance. The food is very good, but one complaint is really necessary: the menu has been exactly the same for what, 30 years? Please, Sarabeth, something new! When Sarabeth's opened in Carnegie Hill (Upper Madison Avenue) they used to bring fabulous bread and strawberry butter. How about bringing that back?"

"Great place for brunch with superb and quick service. Both classic and salmon eggs benedicts were delicious and definitely need to try their french toasts. It can get very busy by 11am with their lunch menu opening up so best to make a reservation in advanced or go there early before the crowds get in. They definitely have the baby stools and sort of a stroller parking available so definitely accomdating for families with kids. I'm happy the locals now have another choice of a good brunch place in the neighborhood."

"My girlfriends and I went to Sarabeth's at 4 pm on a Sunday after a spa day. I didn't check the menu beforehand and we were surprised by the menu for 4 to 5 on Sundays. We ordered the tea service and salads and it was the perfect complement to our day. Our only complaint was about the waiter - he refused to provide any advice about the tea selection, citing he didn't drink tea (and not offering to go ask anyone else). And he acted extremely confused when the check came and we wanted to use both credit card and cash."

"I have been going to Sarabeth's for almost 20 years now. I thought their brunches were spectacular in the past, but when I went back recently it was definitely not as good as I recalled previously. It is still a reliable place for a good brunch, nothing spectacular, but good. I was surprised to see that their prices had gone up a lot over the past year! Makes it an expensive brunch spot!"

"Great food! Went for an early breakfast and there were a fair amount of little ones, some were pretty loud. I'm not sure how family friendly it is after 11am. Not a real surprise, the food at the uptown Sarabeth restaurants is always good. I will definitely go back."

"I've read many reviews for Sarabeth's and I agree for the most part. This is a pretty good brunch place and that is the reason I went there. The menu is not huge but has enough choices to satisfy most people. We ordered Eggs Benedict, Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon, some muffins for the table, coffee and orange juice. There are a couple things that I would bring up right away- the place is very noisy. The hard walls, floor and ceiling do nothing for noise abatement, so if you go there, it's loud. The service was fair- I never got enough attention from the waitstaff to order another cup of coffee or much else- I wonder if they are understaffed for a busy brunch. Food was very good, but a bit expensive."

"A go-to for many for brunch. It's always in the rotation for where to go, and there are a few locations around the city depending on your starting point. Have heard wonderful things about the pancakes. I always order the eggs benedict and am pleased - especially the muffins which are huge. Bloody Mary for brunch was a real treat - spicy with some veggies and huge. On this day our waiter was quite slow and the place was mostly empty but I would go back as I don't believe that's the usual level of service."

"I have eaten at other Sarabeth's in the city and I think I like this one the best. We made reservations for a Sat morning and had no wait when we arrived. The place was packed but they were ready for us. The service was really good and the food was great! I love the airy open design of it. There were also a lot of children, which I didn't mind. I love family friendly restaurants....but if you are looking for a quiet weekend place, this is not it!"

"I really would like to like this restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and the employees are nice. But the food is just terrible. I ordered a short rib cavatelli and it was flavorless and the cavatelli was too al dente, almost as if it they forgot to cook it. The server, while very nice, forgot to explain any of the dishes and didn't know what was being served to us, we had a dish of spreads and really needed to know which was which as one of the diners in our group was pregnant and cannot eat pate. Another diner ordered a skirt steak that had no flavor whatsoever. I haven't tried the brunch yet and maybe thats where they will win me over. But as per dinner, I will not go back."

"My friend came to NYC from Korea, where people don't eat American style breakfast foods. She ordered the eggs benedict, which were indeed, delicious. However, we were seated after waiting twenty minutes despite the fact that we had made reservations on open table. After we ordered our food, the waitress was nice but inattentive. I ordered the spinach goat cheese omelet, and I was not impressed. Perhaps the ingredients are better sourced than any local breakfast place, but the taste was nothing special. I would have loved more than a dime-sized portion of the world famous jam. After we finished, the host grabbed our plates as if he couldn't wait to clean the table , but we waited another five minutes for the check."
