The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm presents a venue with a breathtaking view and natural setting overlooking the Potomac River. Our farm to your table presents local, organic, seasonal cuisine putting guests in touch with their food with an ever-changing menu. Whether dining Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening, Saturday or Sunday brunch, or for a wedding, rehearsal dinner, corporate or special event – we strive to exceed your dreams. A modern American style, paired with Certified Naturally Grown and organic produce, organic, wild and natural meats, sustainable seafood and a broad assortment of wines, including organic, biodynamic, and vegan, provide an exceptional dining experience. Chef Christopher’s innovative and skillfully executed dishes deliver intelligent compositions with engaging and inspiring flavors while following the lead of nature, being mindful of the environment, by sourcing the highest quality local, seasonal, organic ingredients.
"It feels like you are eating on somebodies porch, so it's very comfortable, however still elegant. The food really is the highlight. The take is here is to take a quality ingredient and showcase that ingredient and they do this very well. It takes a minute though, because the flavors are subtle, so if you eat too fast you miss it, it is very elegant. So take your time, enjoy the wine and the ambience. It is really a different take than flavors that slap you in the face like good bbq. I enjoyed it thoroughly."

"My wife had read about this restaurant a while back, and this weekend we were looking for something fun in the Virginia countryside as a quick getaway. So I made a reservation online -- thanks OpenTable! The Sunday Brunch was fantastic. In particular, the Chef's new offering of the Ultimate Brunch exceeded my highest expectations. Five courses of the best menu selections might overwhelm some folks, but I have a large appetite and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Everything was fresh and organic, including the newly-picked asparagus grown on the Farm itself. Service was attentive and pleasant, without being intrusive. Our server, Scott, even prepared non-alcoholic cocktails at our request. Overall, a great time."

"I don't think there is anything this chef could cook that we would not be delighted to eat. In fact, the next time we go, and there will most certainly be a next time, we think we may just make the meal chef's choice."

"This is the second time we've been to this restaurant. The first time was for brunch on Mother's Day and although it was beautiful and the food was great, it was a wasted on our two small children. This time we went to celebrate our Anniversary and we had a wonderful time! We had a custom printed menu welcoming us and wishing us Happy Anniversary, and our desserts had "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on our plates. A very nice touch.Service is excellent here and the complimentary extras are much appreciated!"

"Easter Brunch was a wonderful treat. The chef produced exquisite courses based on local, organic foods. From the rabbit to the sturgeon to the carrot cake/souffle, everything was delicious. Went home and descended into a food coma for the rest of the day. And even in the rain, the view was beautiful. Worth the trip!"

"My family and I enjoyed a truly wonderful Easter dinner and birthday celebration at this lovely farm-to-table restaurant. The Easter menu included a beautifully cooked spring lamb entrée that three of us enjoyed while two members of our party had the pork shoulder ... the best they ever had. The service was excellent and the restaurant is set in a restored greenhouse and very, very charming. Can't wait to return!"

"Of all the foodie restaurants we've sampled all over the US in the last 12 months this is top shelf, probably top 5. The restaurant is open and airy...high ceiling modified green house...even though the day was gray, cold and overcast the views of the hillside, the river and the ancient trail trestle bridge were calming and lovely. The menu offered limited but sufficiently varied choices to satisfy both my wife and I. Fish flakey & tender, pork shoulder so lean & flavorful, an assortment of creative and fun Amuse Bouche and appetizers. The dessert was a carrot cake unlike any we have evet tasted...fluffy light & delicious...The wait staff is very efficient and thorough but slightly anxious about pleasing. We will do this again."

"There is nothing you can really say bad about this place. All staff is very willing to make your evening special. The owner even lends a helping hand. The food is out of this world. The only problem with the food is trying to decide what you want to have. The service is top notch. I would recommend this establishment over any other establishment in its class."

"We took my parents to Potomack Farm for their 62nd anniversary and could not be more pleased. The food was excellent. The view was superb. The staff appropriately fussed over my Mom and Dad and brought extra goodies to honor their occasion. Our immediate wait staff took time to explain the menu, and I enjoyed the member of wait staff that gave a recount of local Loundon history. It could not have been better.
Please pass along our appreciation for a wonderful evening, meal and experience to the owner, Beverly Billand who personally contributed to making this a special, special occasion.

"Our Sunday brunch at The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm was one of dozens of times we've visited this gem. We've never had a mediocre experience at the restaurant -- the food, ambiance, service are always outstanding. But this brunch was beyond compare. From the appetizer of Dungeness crab beignets to our delicious entrees of cinnamon French toast with homemade granola and fresh seafood stew to the Baily's Irish creme souffles -- every bite was extraordinary. The spicy Bloody Mary's with horseradish (great twist) and the fresh ground coffee were the perfect beverages. The owner, Beverly, even gave us a sampling of the Creamed Chip Beef, and my husband wanted to ask for a straw to drink the broth."

"This amazing family owned and run, organic foodie paradise, is where we saw an incredible meteor flash across the sky right in the middle of the view we enjoyed from the glass dining room on top of a hill, near the Potomac River and Maryland / Virginia border. I wished to be able to return there again soon. Great food, great wine, great service, and the best company a girl could wish for. You owe it to yourself to find this magical place."

"Everything was fantastic, but food was exceptional. Restaurant went all out to create a special vegan menu for our Valentine's Day dinner--coupled with their superior wine pairing, it was one of the most flavorful meals I've ever eaten. Can't wait 'til our next visit!"

"We stopped for brunch on our way home from of a weekend get-away and what a wonderful way to wrap it up! The food was fantastic, the view beautiful, and the staff extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. I eat vegan which I'd mentioned ahead of time and the chef provided the most elegant and delicious vegan meal I've ever had in a restaurant. First time we've eaten here but definitely not the last."

"The Restaurant at Patomack Farm is a true gem. This is the second time my husband and I have had the pleasure of dining there. The first time we went for dinner, this most recent time we went for Sunday brunch. The food is impeccably fresh, the cocktails are divine, the service (both times) is some of the best I have ever had. My only fear is that Patomack Farm will become so popular that it will lose some of its exclusivity, which I can honestly say is NOT pretentious in any way, but rather a place that Loudouners can take comfort in knowing there is dining experience they can love, adore and cherish its very existence."

"This was our first time to this unique restaurant. Loved chatting with the owner. Looking forward to dining there in the summer as the view is spectacular. The chef is extremely talented and creative. Love how they farm as much as they can, all organic. You must plan ahead as they are currently opened Thur -Sunday. It's quite a gem tucked away overlooking the Potomac River."

"Excellent food and beautiful view. The seating area is in a glass, greenhouse-type building providing a great view down and across the Potomac River. The wife and I each sampled a menu item under all three menu categories (starters, entrees, deserts). Food was delicious."

"The food was great, and the atmosphere perfect. The location was fresh and beautiful, since we'd driven from Baltimore City. However, we were disappointed that the chef decided to get rid of the a la carte menu. The choices were a $65 pre fixe menu with 3 choices (an appetizer, entree and dessert) or a $105 pre fixe with 6 items. Since we'd seen the a la carte online, the server and chef were happily accommodating and let us order what we wanted (an appetizer and entree each). After receiving our bill, we were relieved that it was so low...but the math worked out to indicate that had we gone with the $65 pre fixe, the desserts would have accounted for about $25 each (on top of a $10 app and $30 entree)."
