Rue 57 is a French American Brasserie with a sushi bar located in Midtown Manhattan just blocks away from Central Park. We open for breakfast daily at 7:30AM and 9AM on the weekends. Join us after a day of shopping, or on your way to the theater at night. Our menu includes such favorites as the Brasserie Benedict, Brioche French Toast, our Classic Steak Frites, the delicious Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass. Our bar offers specialty cocktails, wine list and tasty draft and bottle beers. You can also sit and enjoy our succulent Sushi.
"Excellent in all ways, wre had a large group of friends for brunch (8), some of whom gave esp. complicated orders, and the service was friendly and impeccable as always. The best brunch in midtown, and utterly reliable and comfortable as can be,"

"The idea was to find a pre-concert Carnegie Hall neighbourhood resto which would not take long, but would have good food. The Rue 57 proved a good choice on all points. Our waitstaff was outstanding and understood the relative haste with which we must deal, while at the same time delineating the specials and taste treats that were at hand. She orchestrated the whole event very well."

"Rue 57 offers a consistently high quality dining experience from start to finish. The menu has something for everyone, and the service meets the expectations of even the most difficult NYC patrons. I don't often write reviews, but we so much enjoyed Rue 57 that I had to write."

"We had a lovely brunch here on a Sunday morning. Other diners in my group were very happy with the Brasserie Benedict and the Hangver Breakfast, but my lobster hash had only 2 tiny pieces of lobster in. I appreciate that it was only about $20 so wasn't going to be full of it, but I expected a little more than I received. Needless to say, the service was great and we had a lovely brunch. Make sure you book for the weekends"

"I have only done brunch here each time I have eaten at Rue 57 and it's always perfect! If you like French Toast, there may not be any better. Definitely a must in NYC! Thanks again Rue 57!"

"This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve dined at Rue 57, and I’ve never been disappointed. I’m not a foodie, so I can’t say much about the type of cuisine, however, everything I’ve had has been nicely prepared, meats cooked exactly as ordered, and the presentation is attractive without being fussy. Pricing is in line with the other fine restaurants in the New York City, with Rue 57 being moderate, rather than most expensive."

"I took my Mom here for a special dinner before a Broadway show. Everyone from the hostess who sat us at a great table to the server who was friendly and helpful to the attentive table bussers offered fantastic service. The food and specialty cocktails were delicious with nice presentation. Overall, this restaurant blew me away and exceeded my expectations! I will go back."

"This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and although the food was very good, the service excellent I found it to be a little too noisy, seemed like there were two different music tracks on at the same time. We had had a long day, seen a show then had the meal so maybe we were just a little too tired!"

"Got to Rue 57. Nice spot in the city. We were seating right away. Seating is a little tight but nothing unusual for NYC. I ordered a shrimp tempura roll and steak frites. My wife got the Caesar salad and filet mignon. Service was good and quick. The apps were good. My wife got a huge salad and my roll was a good size for an app. The main dish came. My wife loved her filet mignon. I on the other hand, had no idea what cut of meat I had but it was tasteless. The only thing I tasted was the lump of butter they put on top of it. It is a shame. Anyway, we split the Oreo beignets which were very tasty. I don't mind spending 50 bucks on a steak, but is has to be good and this one was not."

"Our last night in New York so we decided to stay close to our hotel and went to Rue 57. Slow service, rude waitress, and loud obnoxious 80's music played very loud. The location itself was very nicely decorated and the layout was nice but everything else left much to be desired...."

"Have been to Rue 57 almost every trip to NYC. Ambience is great, the food great, and very good service. The Fench Onion soup was wonderful, and the Kobe meat loaf was unique and a wonderful treat on a cool, damp evening. Will definitely return next visit to NYC"

"Ffour friends in NYC (coming in from CT, GA, SC) for a fun ladies' weekend had the very best time, drinks, and food here. We've been here before and returned just because it's always great. Our waiter, Akil, was fantastic! The Sea Bas was truly excellent."

"I've been here several times and the food never disappoints. There's something for everyone and their custom cocktails are great (The Rue 57 is delish!). However, this trip was soured by an overzealous waiter who seemed intent on getting us out the door as quickly as possible. There were plenty of empty tables, and we had not given him any indication that we were in a rush (we weren't, it was a business dinner). However, we had our menus about 5 minutes before he wanted to know if we were ready to order. We asked for more time and he came back again after about 5 minutes. Same process when dessert came around. It was borderline rude. I do love the food, though, and will go back because one person wouldn't be enough to keep me away."

"I went with my two college age sons. I have been there before - service is very good - not outstanding - but attentive. Food was excellent. Had the scallops - so did one of my sons - we both thought one of best prepared and tasting scallop dinners we have had. My other son had a pasta disk - also very good. Caesar Salads also very good. Desserts we very good as well. We asked for the bar tender to make up a special drink for us after describing it and he hit it on the mark. As I said I have been there before and would go back again. A bit noisy."

"At first, sounded like an oxymoron--a Paris Brasserie with Sushi!! But for me, the sushi was just a small area away from the main, bustling Brasserie part of the restaurant. Quite noisy (as are the true Paris Brasseries) but true to form. Having lived in Paris for many years, I found the food to be comparable to some of the best Parisian ones. The service was excellent, delivery was prompt but not too rushed. Good wine list as well. Overall quite pricey, but certainly worth the visit."

"It was very noisy - too noisy. Tables were tighly packed - too tightly packed. If you like a noisy vibrant environment, where you can read what everyone is doing on their phones - this is the place for you. If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy a more sedate meal after a day of bussle - this is not for you. We were in and out after 2 courses and within 45 minutes - Bread was forgotten. Desert would have meant staying longer in a place that did not suit us. We had to move our table to let people out from their seats. Food was OK, resturant was clean - it was just not for us."

"While the menu was quite limited, my friends and I all ordered the Sea Bass which we agreed is the best Sea Bass we've had in the city. The wait staff was very attentive and the deserts were large and filling and quite tasty. The noise level was high and the sidewalk dining was open which led to more noise from the street. It was a fun environment."

"LOVE this restaurant. Perfect for groups of friends or families or first dates even. It's vibrant, lively crowd is perfect for large groups, girl's night, guy's night, but it's also lots of fun for couples (as long as they're not looking for a romantic quiet evening). Love the window seats for people watching. Sushi is very good and fresh. The Miso glazed chilean sea bass is the most delicious dish. Great drinks too!"

"I am convinced that Rue 57 is a tourist trap managed to maximize cashflow with no regards to food or service. Most elements of a dining experience were wanting. The service was lacking in quantity and quality. The former I assume a product of understaffing; the latter, of underinvestment. The food was barely acceptable, its timing indicated that the kitchen was over capacity. A neighbouring table received their food before we did, even when they had arrived after us. They sent back their food - overcooked - and received it before us. After a long wait, we asked 'When will our food be here?' - to which he brought our plates with an AH-HA, as in 'Don't be silly, here it is -!' An underwhelming and unabashedly patronizing experience"

"This place was great! The service in particular was unbelievable. We were seated immediately and our waitress happily answered all of our many questions regarding menu items. She was able to give us an input on everything and really guided us to having a wonderful dining experience. The food here was absolutely delicious as well. The salmon home fries is to die for. Also, portion sizes were food-coma worthy and a great deal for the price."
