"This was our first time at Vivo and although it was a bit pricey, the food was very good and well prepared. I would go back, but maybe not order as many items. We ordered the rack of lamb, which was excellent! Dessert was very tasty and light, perfect after a big meal. We even took food home, which is uncommon for us. The menu is set up meant to share, so definetly better with more people and this would likely reduce your cost too when sharing. The server was very knowledgable and friendly. Great for a special occassion."

"People have talked to me about Vivo, and I thought it sounded nice...I didn't realize it was the absolute personification of awesome!
The menu is fun, versatile and vibrant. The food is amazing, service outstanding, and the mood of the restaurant is lovely. You'll never have a more satisfying Chilean sea bass in your life!
We were celebrating an anniversary, which I mentioned online when ordering. The staff ensured they wished the couple Happy Anniversary without any prompting, and chatted with us about it a bit as well.
I will absolutely be back, preferably in a large group so we can order several dishes to try :)"

"Everyone in our group absolutely loved every aspect of this unique restaurant. Great vibe, great staff, excellent menu and best tasting food ever. Of note is the grilled caesar salad, the rigatoni with fresh mozzarella and their branzino with tomato relish. We want to return and try the Chef's Counter next time. GREAT JOB!"

"The food was fantastic both in taste and presentation. The staff were helpful and the service was prompt. Becasue they serve in traditional itallian style, expect to be there for well over an hour, but eating the whole time. Go with friends and loved ones that you enjoy being around for a real sit-down dinner."

"My wife and I recently dined at Vivo, we've never been but extremely glad we added it to our list. The service was fantastic, our waiter knew everything about the menu and even had a few great recommendations for us. The food was top notch, almost too much just for two people but we made it work and had a little extra to take as a souvenir.
I would highly suggest making a night at Vivo a must."

"We book a table at this restaurant just to try it. We were confused at first as we did not know about the concept of sharing food. It can work well with some people with similar tastes but it is not for everyone. Nevertheless, food was delicious and portions just right. Servers very polite and willing to help. Fresh Italian food in a small modern restaurant."

"Trendy yet elegant with comfortable seating. Due to more patrons and a concrete floor, the noise level got considerably higher throughout the evening making it harder to hear conversation.
The Caesar salad and the fettuccini were delicious! However it would have been nice to have the fettuccini served with the meat and vegetables instead of as a separate course. The beets and carrots were not nearly as good as when the restaurant first opened - lacked the butter and seasoning. Great 3-flavoured gelato dessert to share.
The service was friendly but rather slow and waiter had to be reminded of request for Americano (no plain coffee available).
We left feeling satisfied, not stuffed.

"Vivo is a great place for the family to gather for a birthday celebration. The staff reviewed our group, gave us one of the private dining areas and this suited the grandchildren, children and friends of my wife and I for her birthday celebration. Our host seated us promptly, our server Allan was great, and we just left him do the ordering after he "assessed the crowd". Food presentation and timeliness, was spot on. Wine list was great as well. Gramma Dawne loved the special tiramasu desert as well. Lots of food, great ambience and service. For all that we had, the cost was very reasonable as well. Buon appetite"

"Vivo did an excellent job for us on Wednesday. We celebrated my dad's birthday and they were fantastic. The food was excellent, as was the service and attention. The free drink for my dad was the perfect touch. I also had my two children with me and they took the time to make them feel included and special. We couldn't have asked for a better evening! "We went to the restaurant with friends who are mostly vegetarian. I requested a table in a quiet area because two in our party have some hearing loss and find conversation difficult in noisy restaurants. My husband and I shared two appetizers and a main and the food was more than enough and delicious. Our friends chose pasta with clams and a second pasta dish. They also enjoyed the food. Our service was outstanding. For some reason they thought we were celebrating a birthday (we weren't) so we were surprised with glasses of champagne before we placed our order. All in all a great evening, though it was a little noisy. On the other hand, it is great to see a local restaurant doing so well. The place was packed."

"Not only is this food always excellent and ever changing, it is priced accordingly. vivo gives excellent value for all of its food, wine, service and decor. We had a new pasta of rigatoni with spicy tomato/sausage sauce with two warmed balls of fresh mozzarella on top which balanced the hot spice. We also had fiddleheads with bison bresaola! "Thank you Mike for being such an attentive server. You met and exceeded our needs and are a definite asset to VIVO! None of us (5 adults and 2 teenagers)had been to VIVO on Saturday night and it is now our favourite place to go. The food was incredible and each dish tasted amazing on its own. "DInner for 4 - we had a very enjoyable evening. The service was a little slow at first, in taking initial drink order. But the waiter was very friendly and helpful. Dining family style was a great way to have dinner for 4. Had antipasti, first plate pasta (fettucine alfredo was awesome) and second plate (great steak) with aspargi, prossecco to start, a bottle of red wine and dessert to share, but total bill was only $75 per person. We will be back."

"Went to Vivo on a date and it was a great experience! There was a table beside us that was celebrating a birthday and a lot of drinks were being had, but it didn't hinder my experience with the person I was with. We had a great time, the food was awesome, our server was so great!"

"I really enjoyed the opportunity to build my own meal picking all the courses. The protions of food are quite large so go hungry. Overall the food was very good. I felt the pricing was very fair what what I received. I will certainly return with friends."

"All was very good, except the food choices. My wife and I both prefer the lighter sauces that are wine/oil/tomato based rather than the heavier cream/cheese based. We likely won't return as often as we had originally planned, simply because of all the heavy sauces, and the lack of the lighter ones."

"Our waitress Lea was fabulous. Very friendly and knowledgeable even though it was her first week on the job. Food is great and you get a lot of it. Especially when you order one dish in each category for two people. The only negative during our visit was that the front end staff seemed to be somewhat unorganized with sometimes 3-4 people rushing around, standing around the greeters station and talking to each other. Facing that direction from our table, I felt that I couldn't really relax to enjoy the food and atmosphere of the restaurant to it's fullest."

"The food was good but very pricey for what you get. The two level pricing is distracting and the impact of the cost doesn't hit you until you get the bill and think about it. The wine was also pricey for what we ordered. A 2009 Chianti shouldn't cost $55 a bottle. There was also inconsistency between the taste of the wine in first and second bottles."

"Great food, very fresh and well seasoned. This is definitely a restaurant made for groups with their family style service! The portions for two people were enormous, even with the smaller plates! I wouldn't come back unless there was four of us in a group, I don't like to come home with leftovers. The waitress explained every dish, was knowledgeable regarding the wine list, and we never waited for anything. the only sore point was that we told our waitress that we weren't in a hurry and wanted to spread out the dishes and they came back to back to back."

"First time at rthe restaurant. Food was prepared very different, and was a nice "change", very delicious. Waiter Cory was very good, explained everything well, not pushy but very accomodating. The menu was a bit confusing as we did not know if we were both supposed to order one of each item, in the end we had an appie, a salad, a veggie, and the pork and shared it all as one.
The menu was a tad exepensive, but great food and good for a "specialty meal" like a birthday or an anniversary. The wine selection was good, and wy wife and I dine out a fair amount, but the price of the wine is ridiculous. You should be able to go out and enjoy a "decent" 6 oz. glass of wine for less than $10 (not here !!)"

"Very nice restaurant with very good food and friendly smiling staff. Our waiter was exceptional and knew a great deal not only about the menu, but also how the food was prepared and some of the more unique ingredients. The owner, Greg, made a point to visit each table - very nice touch. Very vibrant restaurant with a lot of laughter and conversation - easy to see why it was packed.
Not the place for a cheap meal, but for the price the food was fantastic - wow the fettuccine is to die for."
