Jellyfish Restaurant is located on beautiful Centerport Harbor housed in the original site of the Francis Cottage from the mid 1800's. Jellyfish is a casual fine dining restaurant for "Families to Foodies" alike. Currently open for dinner Tuesday-Sunday, soon to be open for Lunch. Visit our Speak Easy Tavern Saturday nights for live bands, drinks and small plates beginning at 9PM, call for details.

"The overabundance of wait-staff rushing to and fro made it feel like we were in Grand Central Station. And having been there before, I was looking forward to their English style Fish and Chips, only to be disappointed in being served frozen, preformed fish that could be found in any supermarket freezer."

"Just a terrible meal from start to finish. Sadly, I think the staff is trying their best, just don't know how to deliver a quality restaurant experience. The water view is gorgeous, but what good is that when the food is lousy? Cocktails were not good - even my simple margarita was all sour mix. For appetizers we ordered short rib and fried green tomato sliders. Sounded great, but had ZERO flavor and was totally dry. Tasted like they used leftover short ribs from the three days ago and microwaved it. Main course I ordered linguini with white clam sauce, and it REEKED of burnt garlic. When you burn the garlic, you throw the dish away and start over - don't serve it to the customer and charge $22! Awful."

"Great attention to detail and layout. They have a special acquarium room when you come it which is pretty unique. They have a new wine cellar room which would make a great room for private parties. Oyster tasting was fun."

"This was my 2nd visit to Jellyfish. The first time we shared an appetizer of muscles, which were delicious and plentiful. Had the Romaine salad which is sort of a take on a Caesar salad, but much better! And pasta and seafood for my main course, which was generously endowed with shrimp, calamari and chopped clams. This time for an appetizer we tried the meatball lollipops. They were very flavorful, and came with a dollop of ricotta. We shared 3 sushi rolls (Kiss of Fire, Huntington and Texas Roll) and all three were fresh, had interesting ingredients and tasted great! We received an added surprise of a side of chopped jellyfish, which neither of us was bold enough to taste. Jellyfish just doesn't sound appetizing, but everything else was!"

"Went here Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was modern and fresh. Great views of the bay. I didn't think a restaurant could ever survive in this spot having to compete with mill pond house, but this is definitely a keeper. The food was excellent. Service was slow due to a large party sitting behind us, but I don't like to be rushed when I'm with friends so didn't mind.

"This was our first visit to Jellyfish, and we did not know what to expect. We explored the aquariums downstairs while waiting for our table. The decor is both nautical and a little whimsical. There are lots of different areas in the restaurant for different purposes, and this makes it a fun, eclectic experience. Food was delicous, service was good, ambience was charming and fun, and we enjoyed the live entertainment. All in all a great evening."

"Were extremely disappointed. Service was so slow.. We sat down at 7:15 and by 10:00 were still there waiting for our bill! The steak was tough, my scallops were average in preration and there were only four small pieces. The appe and oatmeal dessert and the catfish entreé are recommendable. It took us another hour to get out of the door waiting for valet service. Prices are expensive; food is not worth the prices. I think Jellyfish needs to decide whether they want to be a nightclub or a fine dining establishment. Also, what is with the name "Jellyfish"? I can't think of any name more unappealing for a seafood restaurant. i could not in good conscience recommend this restaurant. All of us in our party of 6 said we would not go back."

"My husband and I shared the fried calamari (slightly spicy) and the volcano roll as an appetizer - both very good. For dinner my husband had the steak special and I had herb crusted tuna also very good. The portions are a nice size. My waitress and rest of the waitstaff were great and very accommodating. Where we were sitting, I was able to get a great view of the water and sunset. I gave it only 4 stars just because I thought the noise level was high. I would go again and have already recommended it to my friends."

"One of the things I looked forward to seeing at the restaurant was the sophisticated Jellyfish tank at the entrance but unfortunately our busboy informed us that it has been a challenge to maintain jellyfish in the tank so it was empty. We had the fish tacos as an appetizer and it was tasty. I ordered the catfish entree but was disappointed because it appeared to have been fried and was bland. I did enjoy my lemon basil martini as well as the Jellyfish Delicious chocolate dessert."

"This is a lovely restaurant. Since it was a little too cool to sit outside, we sat at a window table for two in comfortable wicker chairs with cushions. The wait staff was very pleasant and extremely attentive. In particular, our waitress was very warm and friendly. The food was excellent and plentiful. The ambience was unique with the jellyfish lighting and ocean related theme, but lended itself to quiet relaxation. The overall experience was very satisfying and we would definitely recommend Jellyfish!"

"Our drinks took so long we had to remind the waitstaff to bring them. The filet was inedible as the salt crust had been prepared on the beef in advance hence turning it into a salt block and when asked to bring another meal I had to eat alone.
For my troubles I was not offered a complementary drink or dessert, which would have been nice for eating alone. Nice looking place that needs a lot of service improvements."

"Having waited forever for Jelly Fish to finally open, I was excited to experience the newly appointed restaurant. Unfortunately, the only positive thing I can say about my experience was that the ambiance was lovely. Everything else - from the service (absolutely awful) to the menu selection (limited and pricey) to the food (no special requests were honored and ...were there actually any brussel sprouts in the dish? I think it was just the leafy covers that are typically removed from the sprouts prior to cooking!) was disappointing and even poor. Food server was arrogant, cocky & lacked knowledge. Food was pricey & overly salty (can't believe I'm saying that, as I salt everything!)and special food requests were ignored. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!"

"Jellyfish continues to improve with a new chef, manager, attentive wait-staff and revised menu. The location is excellent and on the water with beautiful afternoon vistas. The outdoor dining area is about to get underway and should prove lucrative for this restaurant. Food is very good with few exceptions. We had an excellent piece of tuna and a lobster risotto that was slightly undercooked but still delicious. Outstanding wait-service by Suzanne and others make this a must try in this area. The decor has been improved and it seems the restaurant management is on a mission to make this a top contender in the Huntington area."

"This restaurant has something for everyone. There is a small aquarium downstairs to keep the kids amused. The decor is unique and relaxing and the view of Mill Pond and LI Sound is beautiful. he staff is warm and friendly. The food is great - a well rounded American menu with the added bonus of really superb sushi. We have been there for quiet dinners a deux and with the large extended family. The bar is beautiful. It is in my backyard, but it is worth a trip! Try the lemon basil martini!!"

"Our party of three was seated at a table for two. We asked to move, the answer was No! The booth across from us remained open for the duration of our stay, which was 2 1/2 hours. The restaurant was beautiful and the view was outstanding. The management and the service were both very poor. The waitress forgot our bread, and after we asked for it, brought it out with our meal. Other people were asking how we got served bread... It seems you have to ask the waitress. The food was okay. The meal came with a potato and cheese dish, which was extremely salty and unappetizing to look at. This restaurant needs better management!"

"This was our 2nd try here. The 1st was valentines day and we never were served dinner. The management gave us a $50 gift certificate so we went back Friday night. 25 minutes until we got bread on the table, then had an eel roll, good but too much rice, then a salad which had extremely spicy seeds/nuts on top. I couldn't eat it. I ordered the scallops over risotto with duck breast. The scallops were good, risotto combination under cooked, duck tasted like smoked ham.. It took 1 1/2 hours to get our food. The management walks around and are nice but the kitchen can not handle the orders. The noise level unbearable. Valet parking? You need to walk up/ down the steep driveway. It was raining when we left and had to walk down to find valet"

"The service and wait time for food was terrible. They also came back and told me they wouldn't serve what I ordered because the last few pieces of fish were not quality. They did the right thing but the dinner was a nightmare. I may give it one more try, but not going back for a very long time."

"Thank you Jellyfish for a wonderful night. From the moment we walked in we were in love with your restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and fun they made us feel like Royalty. The restaurant has such a personality that you don't want to leave. Our waitress suggested the Scallops for me which were outrageous and my wife had the Duck Confit which was the best duck I ever had. We even made reservations for Easter and are bringing the whole family. We are so looking forward to the warm weather and watching the sunset from the Jellyfish decks. We plan on being Jellyfish Regulars!!! Thanks again Jellyfish and see you Sunday"

"Our third time back and each time better then the last. When we walked in and the sweet Asian man at the door actually remembered our name. I guess he told the Chef and Manager because they came over to make sure we were having a good time. We felt so special and enjoyed it all. We have found a gastronomic home on LI."

"I can't remember being in a restaurant where the service was so bad. The waiter had no knowledge of the menu or how to do his job. It took over an hour to get our first course. It was a sunday night and there were only six other tables occupied. I can't imagine what this must be like on a busy night. I was very surprised that know one was overseeing the floor. When we left the restaurant nobody asked us how everything was. I guess they don't care. I don't see a long future for this restaurant. It's a shame that poor service and lack of management can make what should be a good restaurant into a very poor one."

"Jellyfish has potential!!! Service very inconsistent! Disappointed on the bread. Use to have the cheese bread when you sat down at the table. Now you have to purchase it. Would not be such a big deal but the replacement on the bread is soup nuts!! You can't beat the view and the ambiance, that will only get you so far. Oh right, The food was ok!! Please get it right. We need a top notch restaurant in our area!!!!"

"Too new. The staff was very inexperienced. Our waiter did not know the specials for the evening, never filled the water glasses and were generally unattentive. We had too call him over to ask for dessert menus, etc and finally gave up and asked for the check."

"Wish the menu had a little more choices for those who are not seafood fans (sign outside does say"seafood and steak") my son isn't a big fish fan.
Seemed very expensive and when I had trouble deciding between two choices the waitress told me to get both, that it wouldn't be too much food - fior who? It was way too much food so I wasted money.

"Have to say, when I went to check in they couldnt find my reservation through Opentable. I had to pull up my email confirmation. The waiter was not knowledgeable re: menu and had a little bit of an attitude. As far as the food, I ordered the trout which was bland and the Lobster salad tasted like chicken salad with alot of celery. I would def go back for appetizers and the bar. We had a few cocktails at bar after dinner, and had fun."

"Beautiful local on Mill Pond. This will be a welcome addition to the area as none of the other previous restaurants could make it. Especially with The Mill Pond House next door. Server 'Danny' was very good and most helpful. He even gave us a tour of the upstairs rooms and downstairs area. I hope this restaurant catches on. It's great too that there is live music."

"I had such a great experience that I was back there the next week to introduce a friend to this delightful restaurant. I can't wait to go back again. We had an early dinner both evenings to catch the sunset, so can't comment in the late night scene - but the area looked intimate and cozy. Food was delicious, loved the decor, quiet booths so easy to chat, martinis outstanding. Wonderful restaurant - much needed diversity and creativity on Long Island. A pleasant change from the generic ubiquitous Italian!"

"We had a party of 3 and each ordered a different seafood dinner. Striped Bass, Ocean scallops and Salmon ( which was a special that evening). All were fantastic, the servings leaving no need for an appetizer but if you like Sushi.....WOW! The service was exemplary and super friendly. Only open for about 6 months now, wish we'd gone sooner!"

"They have redecorated the restaurant very nicely. Food is good but once they take the order your food is out literally in less than five minutes. How do they do that? Waiter on top of you to take order right away. Feel like they want to get you in and out right away. Would like a little time between ordering a drink and eating dinner.
