Demitri cooks exactely like his Mom, Rodou. He uses no shortcuts, exhibiting the greatest care and experience in preparing fresh, delicious, tender and healthy food for your enjoyment. Only the highest quality products are employed to produce these healthy traditional fresh, homemade Greek dishes which are prepared daily from scratch. Demitri uses top quality Greek products, such as extra virgin olive oil, in preparing these traditional Greek Salads, Gyros, Sandwiches, and Specialty plates including Mousaka and exquistite Greek Desserts.

"My wife and I have been to George's a handful or so times. It's a special occasion kind of place. We have never had an issue with this place. Still don't! The only gripe, they need better phone service. We were running a bit late for our 6p reservation, I tried calling them after our movie to inform them we would be late. They took at least 10 rings to answer, then when they did, asked if they could put us on hold, then we ended up hanging up cause they left us on hold way too long. Trust me, if that's the only issue I have had in the time I have visited this establishment, they are doing something VERY right! Love it!! This may have been our last visit for some years as we are relocating to Portland, Oregon in Aug. We will miss George's!"

"I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong dish or what, but the damathes with meat were bland and the vegetables that came as a side were not Greek. I felt like they opened up a bag of Birds Eye frozen veggies (broccoli, green beans and carrots) and microwaved them (blagh). The rice also had cooked veggies in it, and I've never seen that before in a Greek restaurant. The hummus appetizer was great, but that's all I can rave about. The place was full so I'm thinking I just ordered the wrong dish. I probably won't go back."

"Our overall review is positive - we love George's food and ambiance. However, onthis night (which was my birthday) we had chosen to go early before it got too busy. I did not want to rush through my meal. However, from the moment we sat down all of us felt rushed - to choose the wine, order an appetizer, order our food - the busboy even came twice to try to clear my friend's plate while she was still eating. We were not offered another bottle of wine and even though they were kind enough to bring me a complimentary dessrt for my birthday, we received the bill beofre anyone else at the table was offered a dessert. My friend did order dessert and the waitress had to redo the bill. As I said, I wanted to relax and I did not."

"I've always enjoyed Greek food and George's has become a true local staple. Wide variety of great items to choose from on the menu, beginning with their take on kalamari. The tender lamb chops were prepared with great ingredients and to my liking. They will be ordered again. The restaurant is the notable Belmont Shore 2nd Street strolling, shopping district."

"My girlfriend and I just went for our anniversary, and were just as pleased as we have been in the past. The service is great, the food is better, and the live music was amazing. We were there on a rainy night, and people still made sure that they got to George's. If you go, try anything with lamb, and the scordalia is a must."
