Our cuisine is Northern Italian, originating from family recipes handed down from generations of cooks and adapted by Vittorio Assaf and his team of professional chefs. Serafina's creative pastas and risottos come to life with the freshest locally grown produce and ingredients, while the delicious desserts and extensive wine list satisfy every craving. Our famous thin crust pizzas are made with 00 Italian flour, filtered water, extra virgen olive oil, sea salt from Sicily and are produced in ovens hand built with lava stone from Mount Vesuvius fueled with burning cherry-wood. The remarkable food combined with the lively atmosphere of each location has mass appeal.

"I've only ever eaten brunch here so can not comment on dinner menu, wine list, etc.
Positives:
1. Convenient location - near Rittenhouse Square, etc.
2. All 3 times I've eaten there, hardly any crowds
3. Brunch menu is very nice - not a large selection, but really delicious and nicely presented. Recommendations: Brioche French toast; Salmon Eggs Benedict or design yourself omelet.

"I loved our server, she was perfect. Food was good. I am very Italian and have a hard time finding enjoyable Italian cuisine. Considering this is a bit of a chain, we were really surprised. Homemade ravioli were so good and light! I ate a whole plate and could have kept eating more. They were feather light. We will be back with friends."

"I love Serafina! I dined her for my birthday with a group of friends. There we 6 of us. Everyone was able to find something to suit their taste buds. The sangria was tasty; the steak salad was prepared perfectly; and dessert was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant."

The waiter did not mention that one of the entrees ordered by our party came with a side salad so we ended up ordering a salad and then getting another with the meal, which cost an extra $12. The table was not cleared properly before dessert was served so it became cluttered. The food was very good. I recommend the salmon as an entree choice."

"I was able to get a four-top OpenTable reservation for 8pm just a couple of hours prior, so I was feeling lucky, but wondering if the table was open for the wrong reasons. Turns out it was a fluke. Serafina was a great place to be for us -- it was loud enough that we didn't feel like nearby tables would hear us but not so loud my 55 year-old ears had any trouble. The crowd was young, beautiful, and having a great time, but I wasn't paying any attention. Food, service, and ambiance were all what I was looking for.
Wine prices were a little high, to corroborate another reviewer's comments, but the pinot noir we chose at the low end of the scale was perfect. All in my party were very satisfied. Will definitely return."

"I have been to Serafina several times. This trip is the first that we had an issue with the food and bill. One meal was not satisfactory to my guest so we sent it back. The manager was very helpful, however when the bill came the meal was not only on the bill one time but it was there twice. Again the manager was appropriately embarrassed and corrected the mistake but it should never have happened. I will go back to Serafina. I will just need to be very careful with the bill."

"If you like "a vibrant bar scene" at your restaurant, this is the place to go. I will give them credit though, compared to other places in Rittenhouse area, they turn the tables very fast so if you are waiting to sit and dine, it's really not that bad. They have a tv at the bar which is well-placed and not the center of attention. The food is good although very few healthy options."

"Chicken Parm is an everyday special and was good and unique, I recommend getting a side of spaghetti with it as it was tasty. The service was slow and drinks are expensive. Hostess wouldn't seat us until our party of 4 was complete (2 were present) until I complained, we were standing for 20 min until we sat even with reservation. Very crowded, tight space, no much breathing room in there. Food is good though."

"We ate at this great restaurant last night. I read enough scheptical reviews before booking my reservation but i'm somewhat confused why so many didn't like it for variety of reasons. Our experience was extremely positive one. Had a nice window table for two, the service was really attentive and above all the food was really good. Definitely will be back. Richard"

"Our food was excellent and the server was friendly. However, we were very rushed which I did not like. Our meals came out about 5-10 min after our appetizers and they kept trying to take our appetizer plates away before we were finished."

"The food was really great and came out very quickly given how busy it was. The atmosphere is on the loud side, but not so much so that you can't enjoy a conversation amongst friends. It is definitely a trendy restaurant in a hip part of town, so if that is appealing to you, it's a great find! The service was a little slow here and there but nothing unexpected on a busy weekend night at any Center City hot spot. Great night out!"
