Wilf's Restaurant & Bar
Located in the 1898 renovated Union Station, just minutes from the Pearl and downtown Portland. Our cozy red wing back chairs provide guests with an intimate escape from the world. 'Mad Men' atmopshere best describes the lounge and it's modern take on classic cocktails, while listening to the best jazz, performed up-close and personal. Chef Deb Serkoian and expert staff prepare local and regional dishes with a modern twist. Award winning caesar salad, Steak Diane, fresh local seafood, wide selection of appetizers and a great burger or reuben, as well. Parties and events for 2 to 2000, call Candace to begin your planning, just a few questions away from creating what you need...lunch, dinner, receptions and more.
Opentable reservations are for the 'dining room' only, and for 'dinner menu' only. Reservations for our 'lounge' area are not accepted through Opentable, there is an additional cover charge for music Wednesday through Saturday. Thank you for your consideration of this policy.

"We go to Wilf's about every 6 weeks, and have consistently had a very good experience. The mushroom bread pudding is really unique and a great appetizer. I had the salmon and my spouse had the halibut, which were both prepared very well. The service is very high quality, and the bar makes good cocktails."

"I surprised my husband on his birthday. Really everything was perfect from the friendly and engaging staff to great cocktails and truly delicious dinner. We sat in high backed elegant and comfy chairs, enjoyed live jazz with guest Katerina on sax and vocals and marveled that we hadn't come here more often. We go out several times a month and are particular about the quality of food we consume. We also appreciate good wine and drinks. I can rarely rave about all aspects of a dining experience but Wilfs gets high marks. Thanks all for a great night out!"

"Probably THE best dining experience of my life. John the host made our day! He was hilarious, informative, professional, and did I mention fabulous? Lol the food was amazing!! I had the French onion soup, steak Diane, then the Oreo cake for dessert... Everything at this place is made there, not frozen in the back. Local, sustainable, fresh made food... Even the ginger ale is made there! I would definitely go back on a special occasion since the prices were very high and I'm a poor college student. But again we had an AMAZING TIME!!!"

"My husband and I both had seafood/fish entrees and they were prepared perfectly. Not over dry or undercooked. The side dishes were tasty as well. The green beans were cooked al dente and that is how I like them. Service was stellar. Reasonably priced wine list. The over sized chairs are some what cumbersome. The ambience feels somewhat in the past like 40-50 years ago, which you either like or don't care for. One issue is the band. They may not play your taste in music and if not, it can make the experience less inviting."

"The food is not that great for the price. My dinner was too salty. When I told the waitress she just said she would tell the chef and went to the next table. The service was not anything you would find outside of a average chain restaurant that serves hamburgers, possibly not even that good. Wilf's is an expensive for what you get in food, service and drink. The entertainment was fantastic."

"We started the French Onion Soup and a simple salad, plus we shared the mushroom bread pudding. All of them were very good, particularly the savory bread pudding; one could make that a meal. The cocktails were very well made. We both ordered the special steelhead, which was wonderful. The service was superb throughout the evening from the maitre'd to serving staff. As we started the main course, a very good jazz band began to play in the bar, which was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. For jazz fans, it is clearly the best food available at a jazz venue in Portland . . . by far!"
