Market Garden Brewery
Market Garden Brewery features a 3,000 square foot "American beer garden", three fireplaces, two indoor bars, and private dining space for up to 400 and even a rooftop bar. The brewpub features a modern American pub menu featuring local and organic ingredients sourced primarily from our historic neighbor, the West Side Market, and the wonderful farms that dot our community. This dynamic menu is brought to you by Executive Chef Andrew Bower. Market Garden is home to a 10 barrel brew house that has brewed up a menu of a dozen beers that span the flavor spectrum from easy drinking session lagers to big beasty ipas and porters. Noted brew master Andy Tveekrem, formerly head brewer at Dogfish Head, is at the helm. We also carry an exciting guest beer list highlighting the ever-changing American craft beer scene along with an extensive liquor & cocktail program focused primarily on American whiskies and spirits from the nation's top Micro-distilleries.

"Traveling from out of town and found this for a last minute Mothers' Day brunch. Menu was unique and food preparation excellent. Great local brews, especially the Porter and Stout. I thought we were just "settling' for whatever we could find on late notice, but it was a great experience. I'm not from the area, but all you locals should be flocking to this place."

"No problems checking in at the side entrance by West Side Matket and getting a nice table on the patio. Great brink outdoor ambiance with butcher block tables ... never made it inside to look around. Waitress was aces when my eggplant sandwich was a little shy on the main ingredient and changed it out for a delicious burger. Spinach salad was split between two people. Outstanding beer selection. Shrimp tacos were just OK but had them grilled instead of battered which could be why. Will come back again ..."

"We were a large group that came on a busy Saturday night and I think that contributed to the less than exceptional service. Unfortunately, our food took at least 30 minutes to come out and most of it was already cold. I would like to go back on a less busy night to try it out again."

"I was 10 minutes late for my reservation (I did call) and lost my table. They sat us in the basement and we froze! My fault for being late, but even the waitress tried to help us find a warmer table. The gentlemen at a nearby table put their coats on to eat dinner! Food was excellent!"

"We made reservations just before heading over and while they do not guarantee outside seating, we were able to get a table for 2 outside on a beautiful evening. The brewmaster's platter was excellent, although it is a little small for the price. (A similar item at the Black Pig left me very full.) The beers are excellent, as are the battered shrimp tacos."

"Made reservations on Sunday night. They were out the fried chicken, shrimp tacos, chorizo tacos, and other food items. The manager had too many excuses which was irritating. A simple apology would have been fine. I have been to MGB before and it has been a generally good experience. Perhaps Sunday is a day to stay away from MGB unless you are going for a drink."

"I had a fantastic time at Market Garden brunch. Their drinks were great, the food was great, overall I can't complain. Generally speaking, it was really busy, so it was sometimes difficult to get the attention of the waiters, but it wasn't that big a deal and I think they were as attentive as they could be."

"Was so happy that they were open on Easter. Had reservation for 3 pm for five people. Had our table ready and we were sat right away. Melody took care of all of our requests with a smile and quick wit. We had drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts. Bar service was fast and accurate. Beer was excellent. Mixed drinks made well. Food was amazing, approaching religious. Will go back!"

"We went for my Mom's birthday this past weekend. The service was fantastic. The beer is always great. My boyfriend and I actually went back for lunch yesterday. The only complaint I have is that the pork tacos were not very flavorful..I couldn't even eat them (which is unlike me). This is why I rated the food at Good instead of Very Good. Our waitress was great though - she put in another order for me because I didn't like the tacos. I ended up getting the beer cheese soup and chroizo joe - great choice! I tried my boyfriend's burger and spicy caesar salad which were awesome as well! Overall great service, food and drink! I think this will be our go-to from now on in Ohio City."

"Despite having a reservation and without even asking my name the hostess brought us to our table on the lower level. The lower level lacks the ambiance and energy of the main level. I felt like I was intruding on the private party that was taking place. When asked if we could move to the main level I was told 'no' because they hard a large party coming in and needed to push some tables together. “But I have a reservation.” Too bad, I guess. We moved anyway and sat at the bar. Either they didn’t notice or didn’t care. The food, although tasty, was avarage at best."

"I have always found the food at Market Garden Brewery to be outstanding. The first time I went it was uncomfortably loud and conversation was difficult. It was some time before I returned, but the next time I went we were seated in a booth. The noise level in the booths seems to be much more comfortable. Now I love going often, as long as we sit in a booth it's a fantastic restaurant."

"I love Market Garden, but this was the first time I had ever been for dinner rather than brunch, and I was so pleased to find it was just as good, if not better. The pierogies were absolutely phenomenal, and the little bit of the bacon meatloaf I got to try from my friend's plate was also amazing. I'll definitely be going back for dinner again soon. Despite the Valentine's Day crowd, our waiter was very attentive, and overall I really enjoyed the meal."

"I thought the food was fantastic, foodies be sure to check this place out! The Chef really knows what he/she is doing. Very creative menu, I was so happy to not see the same old bar food on the menu. And it's worth every penny. The only thing I didn't like is that at a certain time they shut down their table service, but the kitchen is still open, so you have to keep going to the bar to order stuff. But other than that, it was a fantastic place to hang out and eat in."
