Los Equipales opened in 2005 in its present location near historic Route 66 in Albuquerque, NM. We prepare some of the most exceptional and interesting Mexican cuisine in the region. Our restaurant has acclaimed recipe preparations from coastal and central Mexico such as: Ceviche, quesadillas de Huitlacoche, fresh guacamole, queso fundido, beans cooked in a clay olla, and many family recipes prepared from scratch.

"We were traveling and wanted a nice dinner after 12 long hours in the car. Los Equipales sounded good from the reviews on Open Table. We were a bit disappointed to not be able to have a margarita but there was a fine Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and at a very reasonable price. We started with the Queso Fundido and it was authentic and tasted great. I can't say I remember what either of us had for entrees but do remember that the food was fresh, prepared perfectly and the service was friendly and professional. If we lived here, we would eat here often."

"Delicious, authentic recipes, fresh seafood. The flan is the best we have ever had! Thank you for your friendly service and tasty food. Enjoyed my Mother's Day dinner, especially with the rose they sent home with me."

"This is a lovely Mexican restaurant that can meet the tastes of a ecletic group. From the guacamole to the cinnamon coffee, you can rely on an excellent meal and nice entertainment on the weekends. The room can get noisy when there are many tables, but the service could not be more attentive."
