Located in the Historic District of downtown Canton, Bender's Restaurant offers its customers an elegant, relaxing atmosphere where one can enjoy fine food and wine. Bender's has been satisfying customers with culinary classics, drink and hospitality since 1902. "Bender's will always be our favorite!!! Particularly the seafood- it tops seafood even from areas close to the water like Florida. The menu is always exciting- the daily specials always contain unique items that are fun and delicious, as well as fantastic "stand-by's". We go to Bender's not only on special occasions, but when we just need a break from "everyday normal" meals- Bender's is a very special place. Our hosts and hostesses are always super, especially Julian- they're really "into" whats offered on the menu, and excited to recommend dishes based on your inquiries!"

"Benders continues to deliver the best seafood in Canton. Our party of five enjoyed a wonderful variety of entrees for lunch and everything was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly; not stuffy at all. The surroundings, with the marble walls and quarter-sawn oak woodwork, are a real throwback in time but the menu is modern and large."

"Being from Chicago, I am in the Canton area a couple times a month on Business. And I recently have learned that Bender's Tavern is great for entertaining with business customers. The seafood is some of the best served in the country. I have driven by this restaurant many times which I thought to be just a neighborhood tavern. Thanks to OpenTable I have found a true gem that I will be spending a lot more time at."

"This is a classic fine dining restaurant - but with up to date menu options to satisfy foodies. The seafood was fresh and delicious and I can't say enough about the presentation and flavor. Service was attentive, and the server enthusiastically fulfilled my request for a "chef's choice" menu. I would visit any time I'm in Canton."

"We always enjoy going to Benders. We had some out of town guests in for the weekend, so we chose to dine here. The food was outstanding, as usual, and so was the service--very friendly wait staff. We would definitely go back any time, and our guests were certainly impressed!"

"I love the selections offered at lunch. There's always a great mix of selections to choose from on the special's menu. I had the fish charmoula and it was so good. It came out not very hot, but the server was great in that she took it back and warmed it up perfectly to my liking."

"The service by stormy was wonderful. The lettuce wraps were delicious. Those of us who had shrimp cocktail felt the shrimp was over cooked. Same with the halibut steaks. We were expecting more from the chef but we all have an off night so we plan to try it again."

"I was surpised by the size if the oysters on the 1/2 shell. Recently had them at Eadies-P-DQ and they were MUCH larger. Also I'm an avid wine drinker... been to many famous restaurants, including Spago in Beverly Hills, and many more. I go to wine tastings all the time. I was grossed out by the sediment left in the glass of wine I had among others at my table. It's been a couple years since I've been to Benders and I was looking forward to it. Might be a few more years before I patron them again."

"The food is always good, our dissappointment was that they ran out of the entree we wanted. When we ordered drinks and the waitress told us about the specials 3 out of 4 of us told her what we wanted. She said she would let us know if they were getting low but assured us we had plenty of time to order them. As it was she did not return for 40 minutes (it was busy that night) and they were out of the dinner we would have ordered the first time she was at the table if she hadn't said to wait. I know this sort of thing happens, but she was not particularly apologetic and she should not have assured us that we would be able to order later if she clearly had no knowledge or control of when it would be gone."
