"had to wait 15 minutes for table although we had reservation. Seems the restaurant was not able to properly mange reservation times. As evening went on, crowd waiting for table grew, adding to noise level."

"By far the best restaurant in Sea Isle and possibly on the Barrier Islands; definitely the best value . Our visit on Sat May 4th was a great kickoff to our summer season at the shore . The food is wonderfully prepared with great sauces . The wait staff are polished and the atmosphere great . Energetic but perfect for all ages and food for all tastes . Prices are reasonably moderate for the quality of the dinners and BYOB is a real plus.
We will be back many times . This is our go to special place . We never need to worry when we recommend it to someone ."

"We truly enjoy having La Fontana Coast in Sea Isle since we have also dined at La Fontana della Cita and La Fontana del Mar. We've been to each several times. This past Saturday night, we had reservations yet had to wait 50 min to be seated. Yes, we were offered an antipasto plate upon being seated. Perhaps the reservation process could be managed a little better. We did notice a group of 20 that no doubt had the place filled.
We'll still go back - however, wanted to provide that feedback.

"You have to love the food and the service. Great dinner for 3 couples. The food makes the wait more than tolerable. We waited for about 30 mins past our reservation. The problem was not so much the wait but the foyer was overcrowded. LaFontana could have controlled it better but the customers were just rude. My advice would be to not over-book and limit the number of people waiting inside. Once seated the wait staff was wonderful offering quick service and complimentary apps. Everyone enjoyed both courses and the limoncello was the perfect finish"

"The food was absolutely delicious. I had the pasta special which was a wide noodle pasta with seafood (shrimp, scallops, crabmeat) in a white wine and pesto sauce & my husband had linguine piscatore; both dishes were full of seafood. The noise level was very loud, especially when we first walked in, but fortunately our table was in a corner which seemed to buffer some of the noise. Our server definitely has room for improvement (she left our table in the middle of taking our order because she remembered someone else's order was up!) but to her credit, she did inform us that this was her 3rd day on the job. We overlooked it since the meal itself was wonderful."

"Outstanding dinner last night. We arrived at our reservation time but the table was slightly delayed. Much to our surprise and delight, the staff made a makeshift table out of a chair, opened our wine and brought a complimentary appetizer. We were seated within 15 minutes of our reservation. The meal was great, I ordered capellini positano and my wife had the salmon, we shared the special appetizer. I would rate all 5*. The service made the difference. We will definitely book a monthly reservation"

"Food is fantastic. However, they definitely overbook constantly. Had 7:15 reservation - did not get seated until 8:00. Why make a reservation? This is not the first time this has happened. People were allowed to wait in dining room making it hard for servers to pass. I was waiting for a dish to go down someone's back. People were also permitted to stand right in front of desk - took me 10 minutes to give hostess my name. They definitely need a better system. I will not be going here again unless 8:30 or later."
