Jake's in East Meadow is a casual, yet sophisticated steakhouse serving the best steaks, chops, and seafood on Long Island. Complementing our excellent cuisine is our fine selection of craft beers available in our bar room as well as the outdoor beer garden. The bar and beer garden also features an inventive menu of bar snacks, burgers, and sandwiches. Our staff is friendly and professional and we look forward to serving you!
"I've been to your restaurant several times and always had a pleasant experience and the food was to RAVE about. However, this past time I was disappointed in the waiter's service. Granted it was restaurant week but he flat out told us at the start "I don't mean to rush you but I actually do because you know it's Saturday night and we do have to keep things moving." A professional waiter would have used his expertise to keep things moving and not make the customer feel so unwelcome. And by the way, the waiter's name was John"

"We were excited to try a new place for Restaurant Week. We arrived on time for our 8:00 reservation on a Wednesday night. And then...
-It took 40 minutes for my husband to get a drink after we were seated, another table was seated right behind us in an empty dining room, the other table's order was taken before us and received their food first, appetizer orders were incorrect, and a steak knife was placed directly in front of my 5 year old.
Food arrived over an hour after we ordered: The salmon was dry and bland, and the steak, which was ordered medium rare, was over cooked and charred.
After speaking the the manager, we paid our discounted check and got outta there. We do not plan to return."

"It's in our neighborhood and a great place to come to when you don't wish to go too far from home. Lively atmosphere I.e.bar, but romantic and comfortable at the same time. Service is friendly, knowledgable and good. You don't feel rushed. Food is very good. Steaks are tender, wines are good also. We come here when we don't wish to go anywhere else."

"Visually nice restaurant. server was rushed and seemed to have too much too handle. Food not close to the quality of the bigger name steak houses. Special Rib-eye was disappointing. Filet Mignon was better. Brussel Sprouts tasted like they were heated with a sterno. Mushrooms and homefries tasted only of butter. Tomatoe, onion salad was good. My wife said the bread was best part. We went on a Saturday night. Restaurant was dead. By 8:30 we were the only ones in our dining room (1 of 2 rooms)."

"We've been to Jakes several times and were always satisfied. This time however was a disappointment. My dinner was cold and very bland. Not properly seasoned. The soup however was excellent. Whoever makes the soup here knows what they are doing. Service was also a little slow. Everyone is entitled to an off night. Will give it a try again. So far the good out weighs the bad at Jakes. Manager is very attentive and eager to please the customers."

"Have dined at Jakes many times before and the food has always been very good. Unfortunately this experience was not good. The food was definitely not up to their usual standards. Will probably not go back for a long time."

"The waiter Eddie was fabulous. Didn't know we were suppose to get bread basket until we saw it on another customers table. A bit pricey, but overall was great for a special occasion."

"We have been to Jakes a few times and loved our experience. We always had Justin as our waiter who is excellent! On this trip we had a new waiter, Justin was off. He was confused and overwhelmed. He mixed up our orders, took too long to bring drinks etc... The manager Justin saved the meal! He had the kitchen remake everything and dessert was on the house. Kudos to all the Justin's at Jakes."
