A meal at Jessica's Restaurant is always memorable. The recently updated dining room is a reflection of the casual comfort and style of this New England country inn. Jessica's Restaurant is located in the Swift House Inn in Middlebury, Vermont. Jessica's is just two blocks from downtown Middlebury, set in an 1814 stately home, surrounded by beautiful lawns and gardens. Jessica's casual atmosphere is the perfect place for an dinner for two, or a celebratory dinner for four to forty! Come early and enjoy our bar; Tom, with his more than 30 years of bartending experience, can fix you a cocktail or help you choose the right bottle of wine. We have won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for our wine list for six straight years! We also have local beers on tap including Switchback, from Southern Vermont; and two brews from Middlebury, Wolaver's Organic India Pale Ale and Otter Creek Seasona.
"We have eaten at Jessica's many times and are never disappointed. The mood is always warm and friendly. The food is delightful. My husband had the lamb special and I had the scallop special. The only thing I didn't care for was the odd pilaf side dish - very dry. But everything else was delicious. I especially loved the warm spinach and yellow beet salad. During this visit our server, Daniela, was very attentive and polite. She did a great job!"

"Jessica's is our favorite restaurant in the area, and always superb, from the wine selections of the bartender, to the fabulous scallops with ramps and wild mushrooms. It's a great place to bring out of town guests, or just to stop in for a casual bite. And soon one can enjoy the lovely deck with the view of the gardens. Highly recommended."

"Had a fabulous dinner with several friends, all "foodies", and high praise from everyone. Service was warm and helpful but not overbearing. Bartender offered perfect wine pairings from a stellar and affordable wine list. Steak with a gorgonzola cognac sauce melted in your mouth. Others enjoyed the Pad Thai, and the veal piccata. Jessica's is truly a neighborhood gem - great for both special occasions, and for daily fare. Highly recommended."

"This is the best place in Middlebury Vermont to have a great meal hands down! There's something for everyone on the menu and the chef always prepares amazing specials! I can't wait to eat there again! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is hungry and in the area."

"Our special evening began with superb Oysters Rockefeller. Our entrees included the blue-cheese encrusted Filet Mignon cooked to perfection served with rice pilaf and French-styled green beans and the grilled chicken Caesar salad which was delicious. The recommended wine pairing of a decanted bottle of 2008 AAlto was delightfully complex and silky smooth. The service was excellent from the moment we were greeted at the door and the ambiance was cozy as we were seated near the warmth of the fireplace."

"Jessica's is a nice enough spot. We love the Inn, but the restaurant itself needs some improvement - the menu is ambitious, but the execution is lacking. It's an 'almost' spot. The veal is good, but not at the price. The oysters rockefeller were lost under the fontina and weren't quite ocean fresh. The wine list, however, is amazing. A solid small plate/tapas menu would serve them well.
The waitstaff at Jessica's are lovely, friendly and accommodating. The owners are wonderful as well."
