"We were celebrating a 16th birthday and all 7 of us truly enjoyed our meals. Our server was particularly charming and the food was delicious! I've never had a beet juice Bloody Mary before, but I'd have one again."

"We went here after an awards ceremony for my mom. We were a party of 7 and we were excited to snag a table around 8:30 after the ceremony. The patio was open, so it isn't too difficult to get a table last minute.
Order the Pommes Souffle (Potato Crisps) with Harissa Aioli. You will love them, promise.
The halibut special with wild mushrooms and barley was fantastic.
Love the spinach salad with Green Goddess dressing and chicken confit.
Hubby got the Moroccan Chicken, which is amazing and I have no idea how they keep it so juicy and tender.

Other highlights: Take their wine recommendations. Our server George was spot on in getting us a bottle that pleased all 7-palates.

"I ordered chicken salad, looked lovely, nice mushroom variety, lovely sauce, but in the entire dish 3 tiny pieces of chicken. The waiter agreed that it was not adequate and returned in about 5 minutes with a small bowl of chicken. Not very good service to leave me sitting there with a bowl of greens and mushrooms waiting for the chicken that should have been in the salad. It was odd, he plunked the small bowl of chicken down and said he hoped that was alright. He left me with the impression that he rather thought I was some sort of strange person for wanting chicken in my chicken salad.
That said it was tasty. my dining partners food was good.
I went to Luc's to decide if I want to invite my friends to Luc's for a celebration. NO"

"Friendly service and good choice of seating for an early reservation. The right, traditional, French bistro selections on a well-sized menu. Good cocktails, but a bit of worry over the vinaigrette as a very weak, first official act. The boeuf bourguinon adequately hit the mark. The real disappointment was the let-down after the initial excitement over being offered a favorite fish, halibut, as a daily special. The palate was unable to detect any lemon in the reduction sauce so labeled, but, perhaps because it was overcooked, the fish was ruinously salty as plated. Tasty desserts and some decent coffee."

"Luc was good. The menu was ambitious and we went for restaurant week. I'm not neccesarily dying to go back; the french onion soup tasted a bit like the bottom of the pan burned and all the food was good, but again, nothing I would say I HAD to go back for. Not in a city like Seattle where there are a million gems and really outstanding restaurants. We might have had an off night because of Restaurant Week or perhaps my ordering just wasn't that great. I had the pork loin and it was great, the meat was perfect, it was like butter, I just think I was hoping for something more notable."

"upon ordering in the menu I ordered the lettuce on the appetizer menu with walnuts and vinaigrette which ended up being a head of lettuce with no flavor, dry walnuts and some very stingy amount of vinaigrette put on, my second course was much better with the beef cheeks, as well as a delicious dessert. Over all the food was good, portions in relation to price were very expensive, but was ok other than the exceptions stated."

"I have been to Luc before and liked it very much.
This occasion was the special, 3 courses for $28. I didn't feel that it was a good value. We had appetizer, main course and dessert, but the main courses seemed more like large appetizers to me. Also, my mussels and clams included calamari which was not on the menu description and which I do not eat."

"Luc is a cute, friendly neighborhood bistro but its not the place to go if you're looking for authentic French bistro food. I was a little disappointed by the liberties taken with dishes we tried.
I'm a total stickler but when a menu says cassoulet I expect it to Toulousain otherwise just call it something else. Its French with Northwest touches, the food was good overall, and the service was good, everyone was friendly."

"I took my wife to LUC for her birthday, and neither of us had ever been there before. We agreed afterward that this was the best meal either of us had ever eaten in our lives. I suspect it's not great for vegetarians, because the most amazing dishes involved meat, but oh my! The service was very efficient and friendly (in a European way), and while we found the atmosphere a little noisy (we prefer things quiet), we could still converse with no problem. We will be back for special occasions. Or maybe just for a spontaneous happy hour."

"The entrees we had were very good, although there is a very- and I mean very- limited vegetarian selection. The noise level was epic, conversation across the table was difficult. I would not suggest it for a quiet romantic dinner or for an intimate tete a tete amongst friends.
The vegetarian entree of linguine with mushrooms (a much fancier name was on the menu) was very bland. A featured salad delicious. Last time we were there the pizza was unique and tasty.
Prices are very fair and it felt like a special place because of the quality of the food.

Service was fantastic, courteous , knowledgable and very accommodating !

"Always good food and decent service. My one complaint is it's always a bit cold but then most Seattle restaurants are the same unless they are sporting a fireplace. I love sitting at the back counter watching the kitchen and of course, being warmer!"

"Luc has a warm,classic French bistro feeling. Wines by the glass selection is good.I had the Boeuf Bourguignon which was excellent. My wife's fish ,the special was a bit dry and lacked some of the garnish that had been described. The desserts were disappointing. Parking in the area is difficult. Worth an occasional visit. good but not great."

"I really wanted to like Luc. We went to brunch and were seated by the drafty front door. Not sure why since the restaurant was not busy and there was room in the back. The food was mostly very good and full of flavor. We ordered a signature burger which was prepared really well but the the fries were cold and looked leftover. The hostess was inexperienced and seemed to have little to do. Our waiter seemed distracted and it was hard to get his attention even though he appeared to have only 3-4 tables at a time. He never told us the specials that day and it took awhile to get the check. When we asked the hostess about the specials, she didn't know them. I would go back for a burger but not if I wanted a quality dining experience."

"Wonderful table by the front window. There were so many dishes we wanted to try it was great that they offered a number of tasting size plates. These were a good size with wonderful flavor. The chicken, lentil and spinach salad was delicious as were the pork skewers with Harissa. The potato puffs were really unusual. Cheese plate was ample with interesting accompaniments and the portions of cheese were much better than many restaurants of this quality. Will definitely go back."
