"I took another group of family members that were visiting us and had another fantastic dining experience at Cafe Baci! We all LOVED our meals especially the Veal Trio, Chefs Tasting and the fresh Grouper. The service was exceptional from the owner who is very hands on to all of the waitstaff! "We visited Baci for the 3 or 4th time on Mother's Day. We had 9 people in our group along with a <1 year old baby. The restaurant was very accommodating for our large group and gave us a corner table so that our smallest member would not disturb any of the other restaurant guests. The wait-staff was very attentive and provided excellent service even to such a large group. The food was fantastic and did not take any longer than would be normally expected even though the restaurant was full and we were a large group expecting our food at the same time. Great service, great food and a very convenient location will have us coming back again!"

"This has to be one of the finest restaurants in Sarasota and surrounding areas. After a very warm reception, we were seated at very nice table. Soon our server arrived, took our cocktails order, and then freshly made breadsticks were served along with an antipasto sampling, and a delicious pesto for bread dipping. For my entree, I selected the fresh fish catch of the day, grouper, and my guest the lasagne bolognese. This was one of the best grouper entrees ever, beautifully prepared and plated. The lasagne was delicious. most of the pasta is fresh made on site. The owner, brought each of us a cordial of well chilled homemade lemoncello. It doesn't get any better than this. We can't wait till our next visit to Sarasota to return."

"From the moment our group of 8 walked in the door we were greeted so warmly it's as if we were family. Everyone's food was outstanding all our plates were completely cleaned from the homemade mushroom ravioli, stuffed pork chops, lasagna and the best grouper I have EVER had we all agreed this was the best dining experience we had in Sarasota. Five stars for service, food and overall dining experience! Thank you all we will definitely be back!"

"We had been here once before, and we came back to celebrate our anniversary. We were not disappointed. We got a great antiipasta to start (it is definitely smart to book your reservation through Opentable...and almost every table was filled). We split the Baci salad, which they were great about pre-splitting for us, and it was delicious. I had the wild mushroom ravioli and my husband had the eggplant Parmesan. Both were excellent. We were stuffed, so no dessert for us, but ended the evening with a cordial. It was a perfect anniversary dinner."

"Our experience at Cafe Baci was very good overall. The food was excellent. Our only complaint was that we felt rushed through our meal. Our entrees came just as we finished our first course. Our first course was actually removed from in front of us because the entrees were ready. They were served at the same time as the wine which had not had time to chill properly.
As the restaurant began to empty, the tempo slowed some. We spoke with our server about being rushed and she apologized. She advised us to make it clear to the server that we did not want to be hurried right from the time we were seated.
The worse part with being rushed is that we did not have time to fully savor the wonderful food. We will be back."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Cafe Baci. Our waitress, Lorraine, was very attentative and gave us outstanding service. The menu was extensive and the breadsticks were handrolled and made at Cafe Baci. All of the pasta is also made on site. The Harvest Salad was an outstanding side salad. All of the salads came in two sizes which was great. The menu included several chef specials as well as a large selection from the main menu. This restaurant is one that should not be missed!"

"We picked the restaurant from an ad, and checked the on line menu and made an on line reservation. We were greated by a delightful, helpful and friendly staff. "We were looking for a good Italian restaurant in Sarasota, and this one is a gem. The atmosphere is lovely. I especially loved the breadsticks and foccacia, which were hot from the oven and especially tasty. My husband thought the shrimp fra diablo was one of the best he's ever had, with lots of garlic. Being from Jersey, these are criteria for us. The tiramisu was light and flavorful. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the owner came to our table several times to make sure everything was fine. We would definitely go back."
