"Six of us were celebrating 25 years with our company and had a wonderful evening. Although only four of us could stay for dinner - the two who left missed one of the best dinners. The food was near perfection and our service (with Kris) made the evening a memorable one."

"Was at a conference in Sarasota and needed a place for seven to dine. We picked the right place. They were able to accommodate us and two more who join our party after a quick wait at the bar. Our server was very personable and the food delicious. When a steak was overlooked the manager made sure that it was replaced with one as ordered along with a complimentary cocktail. He also checked back at the end of the meal. I would return and recommend."

"It has been awhile from the last time we have eaten here and it was not what I remember. It had a much more easy going atmosphere that had good simple food that had a somewhat Reasonable price. Now the restaurant has expanded and become very Pricey with food that is much too fancy for my taste. It seems that they are trying to make the place very up scale. The food was ok. The server was very absentminded and was not very familiar with the menu. She also made many remarks about having to fill my iced tea so many times. So in closing I will be trying other restaurants in the area."

"Okay, I want to start the review out by saying that my wife and I do not frequent big corporate chain restaurant because we prefer to support local restaurants and business owners. We also generally find the quality of food and preparation to be better at non chain restaurants. Maybe we are just food snobs. I wouldn't deny it. After living in Manhattan for a number of years, it just happened. All of that said we were prepared to be disappointed by and dislike Tommy Bahama's but we simply loved it. The food is phenomenal. Every single thing we ate there was delicious, well prepared, and reasonably portioned. After eating there twice in two days we could not believe how good it was and will go back the next time we are in St Armand's."

"Our group of seven had a very nice Mother's Day dinner at Tommy Bahama's restaurant on 5/12/13. We had three children in our group, and they really enjoyed their meals. The kids' menu had a little more than just the regular kid items they normally have to choose from, and all of their drinks and food came out with decorations they absolutely loved. When the kids are happy and having a good time, it makes a meal out a much more pleasant experience. Our waiter was very attentive. Food was very good. Drinks were great. A nice level of background music was playing. All in all, a very good experience."

"We made a reservation to enjoy brunch for Mother's Day at the restaurant. We requested a table by the window, which they accommodated. They had a special Brunch menu, along with their regular menu. Everything was delicious; very generous portions. The only disappointment was the fact that we couldn't order mimosas or other bar drinks until after 12pm on Sunday (our brunch was at 11am) but this was due to the county restrictions; not much the restaurant could do about it, except maybe not open their doors until 12pm to avoid confusion. Service was a little slow and sometimes inattentive, but overall a good experience given this restaurant is in a touristy area and I would visit it again despite these little snafus."

"Entertained customers. Group of 8. Server, Genie, was fast, professional, and friendly. One client needed vegetarian meal...no problem. Others had from swordfish to snapper, with the macadamia nut snapper being a huge hit.
Location is also great as we walked off the great meal by taking our visitors for a stroll around St. Armand's Circle after dinner.

"We ate right outside and were able to watch the cars and people go by on the circle. Between the 4 of us we had the Bungalo salad, The Swordfish special, the Snapper and Coconut Shrimp. "Really enjoyed our time at TB, however, there was a wedding reception that came in and made for very slow service. We had go find our two waiters and ask them for coffee and dessert. As for the dessert, the Pina Colada cake was not near as good as I remember. It was not as moist and there didn't appear to be any rum flavor to the cake as I had experienced before. My meal was delicious. Also, ask for bread. We got one small loaf for six people."

"Loved the food and service but the acoustics of the place are terrible, we had a sore throat when we left from having to shout at each other all during dinner I order to hear. Music was way too loud. Don't know if I would go back just because of that."

"We have been to this restaurant 4 times over the past 4 weeks. It's our go to when visitors arrive to our place on Siesta Key. We love this restaurant!! The food and service is wonderful. This last time we did however get a server, who I would rate as a C or maybe even a D. But that is not normal, the service normally is over the top excellent!"

"We went here twice on our one week vacation. My husband used to love this restaurant. After our first bad experience - 2 of 6 meals had to be sent back because they were cold - we hoped it was just a fluke. Second visit we had another cold meal - steak - that had to be recooked so one of us ate entirely on our own while all else finished. At least the second time they offered us a free meal.Hostess game the impression that open table reservations 'put her out'. We arrived 5 minutes early both times and were told to step aside until our reservation time. She wouldn't even acknowledge us until our exact reservation time."

"At first they were unable to "find" our Opentable reservation which was quite distressing to my party. We were eventually seated about 30 mins late but they were apologetic. The food was generally very good, which was better than expected. Seems very "touristy" but good for kids. Go early, parking is a nightmare."

"We had Easter Dinner at the Restaurant. There were many families and high noise level. We had 6 in our group and all enjoyed their dinners. Our waitress was attentive despite the mildly chaotic atmosphere. We have dined at Tommy's several times and have never been disappointed in the food. Portions are large and my husband and I often share an entree, salad and dessert."

"This remains our favourite restaurant in the world! It's just got everything right. Whilst other's might be better value or have bigger menus these guys just make it such a comfortable experience you want to go back every time. We've developed this love for Tommys over some 15 years and are gratified that our 9 year old twins Josh and Sophie feel exactly the same. It's the first restaurant we go to. We've all got our favourite dishes I of course love the steaks and the full (and I mean FULL) rack of ribs, but the shrimps and scallops, stuffed chicken, crab cakes, coconut shrimp, in fact every dish would be a top meal anywhere. And guess what it's so good you'll see many of the staff stay for years too!If only they did hotels!"

"My wife and I have been here twice now. Each time the food and drinks have been outstanding. For the reviewers saying this restaurant is overpriced, it is actually the best value on St. Armand's Circle, due to the consistency and quality.
All that being said, this time we had a terrible service experience. We will let that slide though because all the other staff were above the expectation, as they were the last time we dined at TB."

"We waited 40 minutes past our reservation time for our table for 8. They made up for this with free appetizers and the rest of our experience was great!! Food was great on all accounts. Desserts were delicious. Live music was a nice plus and not too loud. Overall a solid 4 stars despite the wait."

"I have to take into account that this was probably the busiest week to dine out in the Sarasota area, but we had taken important clients to dinner and expected the food at least to up to par. Not so... Portions very small and while food was good certainly not "price worthy" One of our guest had the "Scallops and Shrimp" which I had advised based on his tastes. I was horrified to see the small portion that arrived. It looked like a childs plate, but not at a child's plate price. We have dined at Tommy Bahama's on a number of occassions but will be reluctant to return unless I hear from other people that they had the "super meal" that they paid for."
